Technical description

A flaw was found in the management interface of the Quarkus framework, specifically within the quarkus-vertx-http component. The issue occurs when the framework incorrectly combines the management root path with specific permission rules, leading to a situation where security policies are applied to the wrong internal paths. As a result, an attacker can bypass intended authorization checks and gain unauthorized access to sensitive management endpoints.

———A flaw was found in the Dynamic Client Registration component of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The issue occurs because the system does not properly restrict which claim names can be used when setting up new clients. An attacker with valid registration credentials could create a client that incorrectly maps standard user profile information to sensitive security roles, potentially allowing them to gain unauthorized privileges on external applications that trust Keycloak tokens.3h

———A flaw was found in the SAML brokering component of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when Keycloak acts as an intermediary between an upstream identity provider and downstream services. Keycloak fails to respect specific security instructions called ProxyRestrictions in the login messages it receives. This allows a user to log into downstream services even when the original identity provider explicitly forbade further sharing of the login session. As a result, users can bypass security boundaries intended to limit where their identity can be used.3h

———A flaw was found in Keycloak. The Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) endpoint does not properly validate authorization when processing the deprecated defaultRoles field. An authenticated attacker with client creation privileges or an Initial Access Token (IAT) can inject excessive roles into the realm's default roles configuration. This causes clients across the realm to generate bloated access tokens, resulting in performance and memory degradation that can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS).3h

———Kubeflow Pipelines enables users to build and deploy portable, scalable machine learning workflows. Prior to 2.18.0, the multi-user HTTP endpoints POST /apis/v2beta1/pipelines/upload and POST /apis/v2beta1/pipelines/upload_version call canUploadVersionedPipeline, which returns without SubjectAccessReview when the target namespace is empty while REQUIRE_NAMESPACE_FOR_PIPELINES defaults to false. A low-privilege tenant can create shared pipelines or inject attacker-controlled versions into existing shared pipelines without the required write permission; if the API server is directly reachable without an authenticating proxy, an unauthenticated caller can exploit the same bypass, while deployments protected by such a proxy do not expose anonymous access. An enabled unpinned recurring run that follows the latest version can then execute the injected specification in another tenant's namespace under that workload's service account, while pinned or embedded-specification runs are not automatically substituted. This issue is fixed in version 2.18.0.10h

——0OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.3.0, library/classes/Controller.class.php allows explicit controller.php dispatch to controllers missing from CONTROLLER_ACL_MAP, and checkControllerAcl() returns without enforcing any permission for those entries. A low-privilege authenticated user can invoke C_X12Partner::edit_action_process() to create or alter insurance-routing hosts and credentials, or invoke C_PatientFinder::find_action_process() to enumerate patient names, dates of birth, and identifiers. The shared fail-open dispatcher root cause also exposes other administrative controllers that were intended to be reached through ACL-gated Practice Settings routes. This issue is fixed in version 8.3.0.12h

——0OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.3.0, library/ajax/set_pt.php allows any authenticated user to set an arbitrary patient identifier in the active session without an ACL check, and interface/patient_file/download_template.php trusts that session value while enforcing only CSRF validation. A low-privilege user can select another patient and download a rendered document template containing the patient's demographics, encounter information, allergies, medications, and problem list despite lacking patients/docs access. This issue is fixed in version 8.3.0.13h
