Technical description

Brian Mariani from DigitalCanion SA has discovered a  vulnerability in the domain creation functionality of koozali's SME Server version 11.0rc1-215, allowing an attacker with high privileges to inject reserved Apache configuration directives, corrupting httpd.conf and preventing Apache from starting after a server reboot, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition affecting the web server and its hosted virtual hosts.

———markdown-it is a Markdown parser. From versions 14.1.0 to before 14.3.3, and 15.0.0 to before 15.0.3, a link reference definition whose label or title is never closed is O(n²) with default options. Continuation lines are pulled lazily with str += lineContent in src/rules_block/reference.ts, and the subsequent charCodeAt and slice calls flatten the V8 cons-string, copying everything collected so far; this runs before the rule decides the definition is invalid. No options are required to trigger it. This issue has been patched in versions 14.3.3 and 15.0.3.2h

———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS and 3.7.0 of the import-export module, import routes invoke bigUploadMiddleware without an early authorize callback, allowing unauthenticated requests to perform upload initialization, chunk storage, temporary processing, and attacker-declared cleanup work before the later user check rejects the import. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS 4.33.0 and import-export 3.7.0.3h
CVE-2026-1136667.1 HIG
—
———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 1.1.0 of db-connect and 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS, an account with view-draft access can submit a projection exclusion path that traverses through a constructor prototype chain to a shared prototype member when a consumer uses a SQLite, PostgreSQL, or multipostgres adapter and has a matching document. Every editing role has view-draft access, while guestApiAccess broadens this prerequisite to any logged-in account. The unsetNestedField helper then deletes the shared runtime member, causing persistent process-wide integrity and availability effects; the default MongoDB adapter is not affected. This issue is fixed in db-connect 1.1.0 and ApostropheCMS 4.33.0.3h
CVE-2026-1136587.5 HIG
—
———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the unauthenticated Rich Text CSV conversion route writes a multipart upload to the system temporary directory before checking its extension and does not remove the staged file when that validation rejects it. Repeated large rejected uploads, using the normal public CSRF cookie, can persistently consume temporary-disk capacity and may disrupt ApostropheCMS and other services that depend on the same partition. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.3h
CVE-2026-95108—

———One logical thread of a user-mode ThreadX module costs the Module Manager's shared object pool two allocations, not one. The module asks for a `TX_THREAD` control block through `txm_module_object_allocate`; `_txm_module_manager_thread_create` then takes a second allocation of `TXM_MODULE_KERNEL_STACK_SIZE` bytes for the privileged kernel stack that thread's system calls run on, and records it in the control block. Both come from `_txm_module_manager_object_pool` and both are linked onto the module's allocation list. The Module Manager's thread-delete dispatcher released only the first. The kernel stack stayed allocated until the whole module was stopped, so a module that creates, terminates and deletes threads in a loop — every state transition valid, every service returning `TX_SUCCESS` — removed a fixed block from a finite pool shared by the manager and by every other loaded module, on every cycle, for as long as it stayed loaded. Once the pool is exhausted, no memory-protected module can create any kernel object and no user-mode module thread can be created anywhere in the system. Vulnerable function: `_txm_module_manager_tx_thread_delete_dispatch`, in `common_modules/module_manager/inc/txm_module_manager_dispatch.h`.3h
CVE-2026-1129556.5 MED

———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module, an authenticated importer can submit archives whose decompressed bytes, entry count, and entry sizes are not bounded before document-type authorization, and extraction or parsing failures can leave staging and extracted artifacts without unconditional cleanup. The already-hardened pre-authentication and write-error paths are separate, and current end-to-end denial-of-service impact from this residual path remains subject to maintainer validation. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.1.3h
