Not enough EPSS history yet.
OPNsense core before 26.7.8 contains a log injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to plant victim IP addresses in the lockout_handler by submitting crafted WebGUI login usernames. Attackers can submit usernames like 'Invalid user <victim-ip>' repeatedly to add the victim to the sshlockout table, blocking SSH and WebGUI access and killing its pf states.

CVE-2026-118994——
———CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl allow log injection via newlines in the login name.
login() writes the login name to the application log without escaping control characters. The login RPC method needs no authentication, so a name containing a newline followed by text in the log record format adds a forged record.
An unauthenticated attacker can forge log records, such as a successful administrator login from an address of their choosing.4hCVE-2026-156615.3 MED15.3%
——5IBM Concert 1.0 through 3.0.0 could allow an unauthorized user to inject data into log messages due to improper neutralization of special elements when written to log files.8dCVE-2026-634428.1 HIG21.0%
——6OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the unauthenticated WebGUI login usernamefld accepts carriage-return and line-feed characters that survive LOG_AUTH processing through syslog-ng-lockout.conf into the syslog-ng program destination feeding lockout_handler. The consumer's readline() processing treats an injected fragment as a separate authentication event and selects the first syntactically valid IP address from the forged line. An attacker with network access to the login page can forge failure events for another IP, causing that IP to be added to the sshlockout PF table and its active states to be killed, or forge accepted events that reset an attacker's own brute-force counter. This can block administrative, DNS, gateway, or monitoring addresses and can bypass password-guessing lockout without authentication. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.14dCVE-2026-1097865.3 MED24.3%
——7In fail2ban 0.10.5 through 1.1.1 before ddd879d, the sshd filter (config/filter.d/sshd.conf) accepts an "on <token>" suffix after the host address. Because OpenSSH logs the offered username verbatim, a remote unauthenticated attacker can use a username such as "x VICTIM-SOURCE-IP-ADDRESS on" to make fail2ban associate failed login attempts with an arbitrary source IP address and ban it (e.g., to block logins from a legitimate user). The default filter mode is affected.14dCVE-2026-415045.8 MED29.1%
——9OWASP Coraza WAF is a golang modsecurity compatible web application firewall library. From 3.0.0 until 3.8.0, the Native audit-log formatter in internal/auditlog/formats.go writes attacker-influenced request and response fields without neutralizing carriage returns or line feeds. When SecAuditLogFormat Native is enabled, injected line breaks can create forged lines inside a transaction record. An attacker who controls request or response body, header, error-message, or matched-rule data can inject carriage returns and line feeds that appear as forged audit lines within a transaction record. The forged content can mislead operators and line-oriented SIEM processing, although the unpredictable transaction boundary prevents straightforward impersonation of a separate complete session. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0.14dCVE-2026-762674.3 MED13.0%
——4In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.3, 10.2.7, and 10.0.10, a user that holds a role with the read_o11y_content capability could inject forged entries into the app log through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk App for Splunk O11y Cloud does not neutralize user-supplied SignalFlow content before writing it to the app log.
Splunk Enterprise versions 9.4.x are not affected.16d
