Technical description

Issue summary: A certificate with many nameRelativeToCRLIssuer CRL distribution points causes disproportionate heap growth when OpenSSL caches X.509 extensions. Impact summary: Receiving a crafted certificate from a malicious peer can lead to significant memory pressure and possible Denial of Service in clients or in servers that solicit client certificates. CWE: CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling Description: A certificate or a set of certificates that fits under the limit for size of certificates accepted from the peer (~100 KiB) can result in allocation of several hundred MiB of resident memory on the receiving side during a normal TLS handshake. This may be enough to crash the client or server, if multiple concurrent connections lead to similarly large memory allocations. The fix postpones processing of the CRL distribution points extensions in certificates to the time when the processed value is required for CRL processing. This avoids keeping large memory allocations for a long time when such certificates are received. FIPS impact: no The affected code is outside the FIPS module boundary.

CVE-2026-1140527.5 HIG
—
———vLLM after 0.24.0 and before 0.31.0 contains a memory exhaustion vulnerability in MOSS-Audio model serving that caches a processor for every distinct request-controlled mm_processor_kwargs value in an unbounded dictionary. Unauthenticated attackers can send distinct or oversized mel_config values to the /tokenize endpoint, which bypasses --api-key, to exhaust host memory and crash the API process.4h
CVE-2026-85783—
—
———Crypt::Age versions before 0.004 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via an unbounded number of recipient stanzas, each costing an X25519 scalar multiplication in unwrap_file_key. The header parser accepts any number of recipient stanzas, and unwrap_file_key tries every identity against every X25519 stanza. Each attempt runs a scalar multiplication, an HKDF and a ChaCha20-Poly1305 open. The header MAC cannot be checked first, because its key comes from the file key, which only a successful unwrap produces. Each stanza is 98 bytes of attacker-chosen header and buys one scalar multiplication per identity held, and the file is rejected only after every one of them has run. A caller reaches this through decrypt, decrypt_file or decrypt_filehandle whenever it decrypts a file it did not write.4h
CVE-2026-1137297.5 HIG
—
———Moov signedxml is a pure Go library for processing signed XML documents. Prior to 1.4.1, ExclusiveCanonicalization in exclusivecanonicalization.go copies the complete accumulated namespace map at every nested element before reference digest or signature checks. Attacker-controlled XML containing deeply nested elements with many unused namespace declarations causes quadratic allocation growth with depth and linear growth with prefixes per level, allowing a comparatively small document to consume multiple gigabytes of memory and terminate the process. The condition is reachable through ValidateReferences without a valid signature, matching certificate, or prior authentication, and it does not bypass signature verification. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.7h
CVE-2026-1137117.5 HIG
—
———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS and 3.7.0 of the import-export module, import routes invoke bigUploadMiddleware without an early authorize callback, allowing unauthenticated requests to perform upload initialization, chunk storage, temporary processing, and attacker-declared cleanup work before the later user check rejects the import. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS 4.33.0 and import-export 3.7.0.10h
CVE-2026-1136587.5 HIG
—
———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the unauthenticated Rich Text CSV conversion route writes a multipart upload to the system temporary directory before checking its extension and does not remove the staged file when that validation rejects it. Repeated large rejected uploads, using the normal public CSRF cookie, can persistently consume temporary-disk capacity and may disrupt ApostropheCMS and other services that depend on the same partition. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.10h
CVE-2026-1136565.3 MED
—
———ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 1.5.5 of the ApostropheCMS Form add-on, its form submission route stages unbounded multipart uploads before form validation or authentication and lacks upload size, count, and rate limits. Repeated unauthenticated submissions can consume temporary disk storage and disrupt form handling or other host services. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS Form 1.5.5.10h
