Technical description

The mknod utility in uutils coreutils fails to handle security labels atomically by creating device nodes before setting the SELinux context. If labeling fails, the utility attempts cleanup using std::fs::remove_dir, which cannot remove device nodes or FIFOs. This leaves mislabeled nodes behind with incorrect default contexts, potentially allowing unauthorized access to device nodes that should have been restricted by mandatory access controls.

——0HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl leave the temporary file of an incomplete multipart upload on disk. The multipart parser creates a temporary file as soon as a file part starts, but adds it to the upload list only when the part completes. Uploads are only ever deleted from that list, by the cleanup option or by the caller, so a body that ends inside a file part leaves its temporary file where nothing can find it. A remote attacker can fill the temporary directory by repeating such requests, leaving one file behind for each.18h

——8obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults. From 1.0.1 until 1.31.4, `create_entity`, `link_entities`, `rename_entity`, `unlink_entities` and `delete_entity` regenerate memory notes from SQLite at the computed `memory/<type>/<name>.md` path without reliably preserving note ownership or the consistency of a failed lifecycle operation. During shared materialization, a hand-authored note or an orphan left by a different entity whose name sanitized to the same path could have its entire body overwritten on the next write naming that type and name, with non-owned frontmatter preserved. `rename_entity` also seeded the destination path with a direct atomic write without validating ownership and could overwrite a foreign note there. Separately, several tools mutated SQLite before fallible filesystem work: `create_entity` and `link_entities` inserted the row or relation before materialization; `rename_entity` updated the entity, including a retired status, before updating its note; `unlink_entities` removed a relation before rematerializing the source note; and `delete_entity`'s cascade removed the target and its relations before rematerializing neighbouring notes. A later filesystem failure could therefore leave a row or relation changed and the memory graph inconsistent with the notes on disk even when the operation failed. An authorized caller with the required memory-tool permissions could, without intending to, destroy the body of a vault note outside the entity being written; `delete_entity` additionally requires its deletion permission and destructive confirmation, which this memory flaw does not bypass. Snapshots-before-write through `restore_note` mitigate the overwrite only where snapshots are enabled and the note had previously been written through obsidian-tc. This issue is fixed in version 1.31.4.6d

——15ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the unauthenticated Rich Text CSV conversion route writes a multipart upload to the system temporary directory before checking its extension and does not remove the staged file when that validation rejects it. Repeated large rejected uploads, using the normal public CSRF cookie, can persistently consume temporary-disk capacity and may disrupt ApostropheCMS and other services that depend on the same partition. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.6d

——5Incomplete cleanup vulnerability in Apache Tomcat could cause TLS 1.3 connections to fail intermittently. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M21 through 11.0.26, from 10.1.25 through 10.1.60, from 9.0.90 through 9.0.122. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.27, 10.1.61 or 9.0.123, which fix the issue.9d

——2The SCIM endpoint does not sufficiently validate authorization for federated users when performing operations against the local user store. This occurs when a local and a federated user share the same username, allowing a federated user to perform actions intended for a local user, including arbitrary operations. A malicious actor authenticated as a federated user may perform arbitrary operations on local user accounts via the SCIM 2.0 or SCIM 1.1 endpoints when local and federated users share the same username. This could lead to user account takeover. Deployments that do not support user self-registration are considered medium severity.9d
