Technical description

StrongDM Desktop Application before 23.74.0 (Desktop Client before 53.77.0) on Microsoft Windows stores authentication state, including a JSON Web Token and asymmetric key material, in cleartext in a per-user state file located at C:\Users\<username>\.sdm\state.kv. The file is protected only by default user-level NTFS permissions. Exploitation requires local read access to the affected user's profile directory and additional deployment and execution conditions on the target host. The condition was reported through coordinated disclosure by Hope Walker (SpecterOps).

CVE-2026-77054—

———boneIO Black stores passwords, including the MQTT broker and web panel passwords, in cleartext. The GET /api/config endpoint returns the full configuration with sub-services passwords exposed. Any authenticated user can call the endpoint and access the administrative passwords in cleartext form. Critically, due to CVE-2026-77053 (authentication disabled by default), an unauthenticated attacker on the same local network can retrieve all passwords. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: web panel passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes in a file readable only by the service account, and the API and logs no longer return secret values. The MQTT broker password has to stay recoverable because the application presents it to the broker as a client; it is kept in a separate file readable only by the service account and is no longer exposed through the API.15h

———Insufficiently Protected Credentials vulnerability in hackney in benoitc hackney allows a redirecting server to obtain the basic_auth and cookie credentials of a request via a same-host redirect to another scheme or port. With follow_redirect enabled, hackney:follow_redirect/10 in src/hackney.erl reissues the request to the Location target after hackney:maybe_strip_auth_on_redirect/3, which compared only the hostname of the current and the redirect URL. A redirect from https to http on the same host resent the Authorization and Cookie headers in cleartext, where an on-path attacker can read them, and a redirect to another port on the same host handed them to a different service. location_trusted forwards credentials to any target by design and is unchanged. This issue affects hackney: from 2.0.0 before 4.9.0.15h

——4mcp-from-openapi from 2.5.0 before 2.9.0 contains a credential exposure vulnerability that allows attackers to capture Authorization and Cookie headers because safeFetch() forwards them on cross-origin redirects. Attackers controlling a spec host or abusing an open redirect can redirect fromURL() spec requests to their own origin to steal bearer tokens or cookies.4d

——4Incus 6.0.3 before 6.0.7, 6.6.0 before 7.0.2, and 7.1.0 before 7.5.0 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows restricted TLS clients to read storage bucket keys in the default project. Attackers can query the bucket keys endpoints to obtain S3 access and secret keys, then read, modify or delete objects in those buckets.4d
CVE-2026-1154004.4 MED

——0crawlseo before version 0.2.5 contains a cleartext storage vulnerability that allows attackers with database read access to obtain Google OAuth access and refresh tokens stored unencrypted in the User.googleTokens column. Attackers can read the plaintext long-lived refresh tokens from a compromised or exposed Postgres database to gain indefinite, unauthenticated access to all registered users' Google Search Console data.5d

——0A cleartext storage of sensitive information vulnerability in WatchGuard Endpoint Security's Full Disk Encryption feature for macOS allows a local, unprivileged user or process to obtain a managed computer's FileVault Personal Recovery Key by reading a persistently written diagnostic log file left readable by all local users.4d
