Technical description

Plesk contains an XPath injection vulnerability in the APS Application Catalog search functionality, where user-supplied input is interpolated into XPath queries without proper sanitization. This allows an authenticated, low-privileged user to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the server, resulting in local privilege escalation.

——4Apache HertzBeat versions 1.7.1, 1.7.2, 1.7.3, 1.8.0, and 1.9.0 have incomplete XPath expression validation in the HTTP collector XML parsing path. An authenticated user with permission to create monitor templates can supply XPath expressions through metrics.aliasFields that are evaluated without the validation applied to parseScript. When processing a crafted XML response, repeated evaluation may consume excessive CPU resources and impair collector availability. This is a follow-up to the incomplete fix for CVE-2026-24343. The fix is included in Apache HertzBeat 1.9.1. Users should upgrade to 1.9.1 or a later version.3d

——12An XPath injection vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware OS's SSH authentication process allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker with access to the management SSH interface to extract sensitive configuration data by submitting a specially crafted request.2d

——9OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the safe-delete path reached through ApiMutableModelControllerBase::delBase() interpolates an unvalidated safe-delete token from the request URL into an XPath expression over config.xml before confirming that the token is a valid identifier. A user holding any one affected module privilege can send a crafted token to one of 21 affected delete endpoints covering Traffic Shaper, DHCP relay, Dnsmasq, Firewall Category, or Kea DHCP, causing the XPath to match configuration data across modules. The resulting error response exposes configuration item names, descriptions, reference paths, and UUIDs and provides an XPath substring-presence oracle, including for modules the user cannot otherwise access. The request does not modify configuration or perform a deletion. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.22d

——16OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.10, the Trust module stores attacker-controlled certificate authority and certificate refid values and interpolates them into XPath expressions in src/opnsense/mvc/app/models/OPNsense/Trust/FieldTypes/CAsField.php and src/opnsense/mvc/app/models/OPNsense/Trust/FieldTypes/CertificatesField.php. A user with CA Manager or Certificate Manager privileges can submit a crafted refid and repeatedly retrieve the object to obtain a boolean refcount oracle, allowing values in config.xml to be recovered character by character. Exposed values can include password hashes, API credentials, certificate private keys, VPN key material, and high-availability credentials, enabling privilege escalation and compromise of other security domains. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.10.21d

——13XML::Sig versions before 0.71 for Perl allow XPath injection in ID lookup. verify() and _get_signed_xml() in lib/XML/Sig.pm build XPath expressions by concatenating the SignedInfo/Reference/@URI value read from the document being verified. The value is neither escaped nor checked against the NCName grammar that XML requires of an ID, so a URI containing a single quote closes the string literal in the generated expression and appends arbitrary XPath operators. A crafted URI can make the lookup match elements the reference does not name, or every element in the document, so which node is selected for digest verification is decided by the injected expression rather than by the reference.14d
