MyBB is free and open source forum software. Prior to 1.8.40, the Contact module does not validate a redirect URL or protocol correctly, resulting in an open redirect and reflected JavaScript code injection. contact.php accepts the redirect target from the from HTTP parameter in $mybb->input['from'] or the Referer HTTP header in $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] and passes it to redirect() without sufficient verification. A javascript: URI becomes the target of the `Click here if you don't want to wait any longer` link because $force_redirect is true, allowing script execution when a victim selects the link. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.40.

Prior to @file-viewer/doc 2.3.1 and msdoc-viewer 0.2.2, the legacy DOC renderer emitted document-controlled hyperlink targets into generated HTML after character escaping but without restricting URL schemes. A crafted legacy DOC file could place javascript:, vbscript:, data:, or another unsafe scheme in a rendered link, and script could execute in the embedding application's origin when a user clicked the link. The fix blocks external document links by default, allows only HTTP(S), mail, telephone, safe relative URLs, and internal bookmarks when external links are explicitly enabled, and applies mount-boundary sanitization as defense in depth. `django.contrib.admin.utils.display_for_field()` renders `URLField` values as clickable links in the admin without validating the URL. A value stored with an unsafe scheme is displayed as a link on changelist and read-only admin pages, which allows cross-site scripting against staff users who click the link.
Exploitation requires the unsafe value to already be stored in the database. `URLField` validation through a `ModelForm` or the admin rejects unsafe schemes, so this affects applications that persist `URLField` data without running model validation, for example through direct queryset writes, deserialization, or bulk import of untrusted input.

In versions 3.10.0 through 7.0.3, when a transition:persist, transition:scope, or transition:persist-props directive is applied to a client-hydrated (client:*) component, Astro copied the directive value onto the rendered <astro-island> element without HTML-escaping it. If a developer reflects attacker-controlled input into one of these directives, an attacker can break out of the attribute and inject arbitrary HTML/JavaScript into the server-rendered output, resulting in reflected cross-site scripting (XSS). Exploitation requires the application developer to have written a non-idiomatic pattern — passing untrusted, request-derived input directly into a transition directive.
