OpENer 2.3.0 (commit 76b95cf) has an out-of-bounds read issue in CIP message parsing when handling malformed explicit requests with a forged EPath size. An attacker can send a valid ENIP SendRRData frame carrying a very short CIP payload whose path_size field claims that many more path words are present than are actually available. Because the parser trusts the attacker-controlled path_size and continues decoding path segments without a remaining-length boundary, it reads beyond the end of the stack receive buffer.

Prior to version 1.22.0, `Track::init_sample_timing_table()` in `libheif/sequences/track.cc` stores an out-of-bounds chunk index (`m_chunks.size()`) into `m_presentation_timeline` when the number of chunks defined in the `stco` box is less than the number of samples in `stsz`. ——0libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. The fix for CVE-2026-3949 (commit `b97c8b5`, PR #1712) introduced an integer overflow in the very security check it added. The check itself can be bypassed, allowing a crafted HEIF file with a VVC track to trigger the same out-of-bounds heap read that CVE-2026-3949 was meant to prevent. This is a separate, currently-unpatched vulnerability. Issue #1712 was closed as fixed without testing the edge case where `size` is near `UINT32_MAX`. ——0The Classic (BR/EDR) L2CAP signaling handlers l2cap_br_conf_req() and l2cap_br_conf_rsp() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/l2cap_br.c validated the minimum command size against buf->len (the bytes remaining in the whole received PDU) instead of len (the per-command data length from the L2CAP signaling header). Because multiple signaling commands can be packed into one PDU, buf->len may exceed a command's len. An attacker can send a CONF_REQ command with a header length smaller than the configuration-request structure (e.g. 0), followed by another command so that buf->len still satisfies the check. The check then passes incorrectly and opt_len = len - sizeof(*req) underflows the uint16_t to a near-0xFFFF value. The configuration-option loop, which lacks an opt_len-versus-buf->len guard, then walks far past the end of the pooled ACL receive buffer using net_buf pull primitives that perform no runtime bounds check, producing an out-of-bounds read of host memory and, when the out-of-bounds option bytes encode an MTU or flush-timeout option, an out-of-bounds write. The BR/EDR signaling channel is processed before pairing/encryption and an L2CAP channel to an L0 service such as SDP can be opened without pairing, so an unauthenticated peer within radio range that can establish an ACL connection can trigger the flaw, leading to memory corruption and denial of service (host/device crash). Versions prior to 1.0.19 have a heap buffer overflow (out-of-bounds READ) exists in `decoder_context::decode_slice_unit_WPP()` in `libde265/decctx.cc`. When decoding a WPP (Wavefront Parallel Processing) HEVC slice, `ctbAddrRS` is computed as `ctbRow * ctbsWidth` inside the entry-point loop. If the PPS/SPS headers are crafted so that this value exceeds `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS.size()`, the subsequent array access `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS[ctbAddrRS]` reads past the end of the allocated vector, triggering a heap-buffer-overflow confirmed by AddressSanitizer. Prior to version 1.0.19, `decoder_context::decode_slice_unit_tiles` (libde265/decctx.cc:920) reads `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS[ctbAddrRS]` at line 966 where `ctbAddrRS = ctbY * ctbsWidth + ctbX` is computed from PPS-supplied `colBd[]`/`rowBd[]` arrays without validating the result against `CtbAddrRStoTS.size() == sps->PicSizeInCtbsY`. A malformed PPS that passes `set_derived_values` but encodes geometry inconsistent with the SPS produces a `ctbAddrRS` past the allocation, causing a 4-byte heap-buffer-overflow READ. ——0Data::DisjointSet::Shared versions before 0.02 for Perl allow out-of-bounds reads and writes via an unvalidated parent index in dsu_find.
The attach-time validator dsu_validate_header checks the header scalars and region layout against the file size, but does not validate the array contents it then trusts. dsu_find walks and path-compresses parent[x] with x a raw file-stored index never bounded against the node count, so both the read and the compression write-back land out of bounds.
A local peer that can write the backing file can leave the header valid while poisoning the parent array, so the next find or union both reads and writes through an out-of-bounds parent index, corrupting memory or crashing the process.6h
