Technical description

Network UPS Tools is a collection of programs which provide a common interface for monitoring and administering UPS, PDU and SCD hardware. Prior to commits 658b24e and 1aa31d1, the GitHub Actions script used to prepare NUT tarballs and update GitHub Checks statuses and PR comments about it was mis-structured in terms of mixing code running with higher privileges (single-use token generated with write permissions) and untrusted inputs (PR source branch). A malicious PR run from a fork could extract the GITHUB_TOKEN value. It could potentially be abused while it was valid (while the GHA job ran) to manipulate Git repository contents, commit checks/statuses, or issue/PR comments, according to permissions it was issued with. This issue has been patched via commits 658b24e and 1aa31d1.

——6A weakness has been identified in InternScience InternAgent 1.5.0. This affects the function train of the file tasks/AutoChem/code/experiment.py of the component LoRA Loading. This manipulation of the argument base_model_name_or_path causes inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks.2d

——2CloudPirates Open Source Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts. Prior to commit 271d415, pull_request_target workflow is vulnerable to cache poisoning and OIDC token theft. A pull_request_target workflow checks out fork code using github.event.pull_request.head.sha or .head.ref. This gives attacker-controlled code access to base repository secrets and tokens. A pull_request_target workflow writes to a shared Actions cache. A subsequent release or publish workflow restores from the same cache scope, allowing a poisoned cache entry to execute during release. This issue has been patched via commit 271d415.2d

——8Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 passes potentially unsafe content into ImageMagick when resizing images. SVG and EPS were accepted as valid image types for contact photo upload and conversion, and both formats can reference external resources and invoke ImageMagick delegates when processed. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix passing potentally unsafe attachment content into ImageMagick on image resize”, which removes svg and eps from the accepted types.4d

——1Local privilege escalation in Checkmk 2.5.0p14 allows a local user with write access to the Oracle client library directory of an Oracle home listed in the 'oratab' file or to the 'oratab' file itself to execute code as root if an agent has the 'mk-oracle' plugin enabled.3d

——13Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. From 2.1.0 until 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2, when an operator has enabled --enable-helm for kustomize build, helmGlobals.configHome can point Helm's config and data directories at a repository-controlled location. Helm automatically loads a downloader plugin from `<configHome>/.data/plugins` without a separate plugin-install step and executes its program inside argocd-repo-server when a helmCharts repository URL uses the plugin's protocol. The command runs as the repo-server user and can read repository credentials and other process-accessible data. An attacker can commit the Kustomization and plugin to a Git repository that an Application builds or upload the files through POST /api/v1/applications/manifestsWithFiles, also exposed by argocd app diff --local --server-side-generate. The upload path requires only Application get permission on an existing Application, without Application update or sync permission or repository write access. Both delivery paths require prior operator enablement of --enable-helm; deployments that do not enable it are not affected. Kustomize 4.1.0 first passed helmGlobals.configHome through to Helm. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2.5d
