n8n before versions 1.123.61, 2.27.4, and 2.28.1 contains a permission bypass vulnerability in external secrets handling caused by a mismatch between the static validation check and the runtime expression engine. An authenticated user with credential create or update permissions but without the externalSecret:list scope can embed external secret references into credentials in forms the static validation does not detect; these references resolve at workflow execution time, exposing secret values the user is not authorized to access. This issue only affects instances where an external secrets provider is configured and Advanced Permissions are in use.

——0The AIL Framework crawler task creation API (api_add_crawler_task) contained an insufficient authorization check when a user supplied a cookiejar UUID to attach to a one-shot or scheduled crawler task. The original code only verified that the cookiejar existed and, if its access level was 0, compared the cookiejar's owning user ID to the requesting user ID. It did not validate organizational boundaries, did not account for the requesting user's role. When the cookiejar level was not 0, no access check was performed at all. An authenticated user could therefore reference another organization's cookiejar by UUID and have the crawler use that organization's stored cookies (session tokens, authentication credentials) when performing web crawls, effectively leaking or exfiltrating the victim organization's session data.
The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with the ability to create crawler tasks. The attacker must know or guess a valid cookiejar UUID belonging to another organization. The impact is unauthorized access to another organization's stored cookies and session data through the crawler infrastructure.5hCVE-2026-97898——

The unlock action is relying on a client-supplied room/door identifier that is not properly authorized server-side against the authenticated guest's booking. An authenticated guest could unlock rooms other than their own, resulting in unauthorized physical access to guest rooms at an affected property.

This is due to the 'bookly_get_form_id' handler blindly storing the attacker-controlled 'order_id' from the submitted form_data into a new booking session, which the 'bookly_render_complete' handler then trusts to look up and return the corresponding Order's secret token without verifying that the current session created that order. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to enumerate sequential order IDs, disclose other customers' order tokens, retrieve calendar/appointment information via 'bookly_add_to_calendar' and permanently delete arbitrary non-completed bookings via 'bookly_rollback_order', which cascade-deletes the customer_appointment and (when no other customers are attached) the underlying appointment.7h
