Technical description

boneIO Black does not limit authentication attempts on its web interface (POST /api/login) or SSH service, and does not enforce password complexity. An unauthenticated remote attacker can make unlimited brute-force login attempts, potentially compromising user accounts and gaining unauthorized access to the device. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: web login attempts are rate-limited per source address and per account, panel passwords must be at least 8 characters long, and SSH allows three authentication attempts per connection with a shortened login grace time.

CVE-2026-1161233.7 LOW

——0A weakness has been identified in NocoDB up to 2026.07.0. The affected element is the function validatePassword of the file /auth/user/signup. Executing a manipulation can lead to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. This attack is characterized by high complexity. The exploitability is described as difficult. The vendor documents this as intentional. The vendor deleted the GitHub issue for this vulnerability without any explanation. Afterwards the vendor was contacted early about this disclosure via email but did not respond in any way.5h

——9A flaw has been found in YunaiV/zhijiantianya ruoyi-vue-pro up to 2026.09. The impacted element is the function SmsCodeServiceImpl.validateSmsCode0 of the file /service/sms/SmsCodeServiceImpl.java of the component SMS Code Verification. This manipulation causes improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. The attack may be initiated remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is regarded as difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.2d

——4OpenReception's appointment booking software provides an end-to-end encrypted appointment booking platform. In versions 2.1.0 and prior, a returning client's six-digit booking PIN can be brute-forced online in the victim tenant. A successful guess yields the client's booking access token, granting access to that client's appointment tunnel, which holds their end-to-end-encrypted appointment data, and the ability to act as the client, for example adding or cancelling appointments in the tunnel. The bypass is cross-tenant: state owned by one tenant removes an authentication protection of a different tenant. This crossing of the tenant boundary is the basis for the scope-changed vector. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.8h

——8ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the self-service password-change endpoint verifies the current password but does not use the login module’s failed-attempt counter, throttle, delay, or lockout mechanism. An attacker with a valid authenticated session can submit repeated guesses for the current password without receiving a lockout or throttle response. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.5d

——7A vulnerability in the proprietary protocol could allow an attacker to brute force the administrator password without restrictions, even when the SafeEnhancement feature is enabled.6d

——4The RemoteUserStoreManagerService does not sufficiently validate password change attempts when the password history validation feature is enabled. This oversight allows an attacker to repeatedly attempt password guesses for a user account without being adequately restricted. Exploiting this vulnerability enables an attacker to discover a user's password through brute force, leading to account impersonation. The success rate of such an attack is influenced by the complexity of the targeted user's password, with simpler passwords increasing the likelihood of compromise.6d
