Technical description

The Click to Chat – WA Widget plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the [chat] shortcode 'num' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.38. This is due to insufficient escaping when embedding user-supplied shortcode attribute values inside JavaScript string literals that are then placed in HTML event-handler attributes. The CCW_Shortcode::shortcode() function applies esc_attr() to the 'num' parameter (line 157), which converts single quotes to the HTML entity '. This entity-encoded value is then interpolated directly into a JavaScript window.open() call string delimited by single quotes (line 194/221), and that complete string is placed verbatim into an HTML onclick attribute in the style template files (e.g., sc-style-1.php line 6). Because browsers HTML-decode event attribute values before executing the embedded JavaScript, the ' entities are decoded back to literal single quotes at runtime, allowing the injected payload to break out of the JavaScript string context and execute arbitrary code. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that will execute whenever a user clicks the WhatsApp chat button rendered by the [chat] shortcode.

CVE-2026-967394.3 MED
A flaw has been found in SEMCMS up to 4.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /Edit/php/upload_json.php of the component KindEditor Upload Interface. This manipulation of the argument imgFile causes cross site scripting. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.6h
CVE-2026-66077
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6, The management UI uses EJS 1.0 in which <%= ... %> does NOT HTML-escape. connection.ejs:135 renders <%= connection.ssl_details.peer_cert_subject %> (and peer_cert_issuer) directly into the page. The same pattern appears in streamConnection.ejs:102,106,110. The values come from rabbit_ssl:peer_cert_subject/1 which formats the DN as a string without HTML escaping. The verifier corrected the original researcher's claim: this is reachable only when the listener is configured with verify_peer (so the certificate must be signed by a CA in the broker's trust store, not arbitrary self-signed); however, in deployments using mTLS for client authentication, any user who can request a certificate from the organisational CA controls the Subject CN. An attacker who can obtain a TLS client certificate signed by a CA the broker trusts (with verify_peer enabled) can embed JavaScript in the certificate's Subject DN. When any administrator views that connection in the management UI, the script executes in the admin's browser session, allowing full account takeover (create users, export definitions, etc.). The management UI's CSP includes 'unsafe-inline', so inline script execution is not blocked. Preconditions include TLS listener configured with ssl_options.verify = verify_peer Attacker can obtain a CA-signed client certificate with attacker-chosen Subject (e.g. self-service corporate PKI, or rabbitmq_trust_store plugin in use) Administrator views the connection detail page. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6.9h
CVE-2026-846838.7 HIG
A flaw was found in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform's automation- controller. The HTML view of job, ad hoc command, project update, and inventory update standard output escapes HTML metacharacters but does not remove ANSI terminal escape sequences before conversion to HTML. An ANSI OSC 8 hyperlink sequence in the output is expanded into an HTML anchor whose href is not scheme- filtered or escaped, so a low-privileged user who can produce output -- or an external party whose data a playbook echoes -- can embed a javascript: link that is rendered into a text/html response with no Content-Security-Policy. When a higher-privileged user views the output page and clicks the link, attacker- controlled JavaScript executes in their authenticated session, allowing actions as that user up to full platform takeover.8h
