A deployment mode intended to expose only read access to stored data proxies a set of application programming interface routes without restricting which request methods are allowed. One such route accepts a request that creates or overwrites a stored record, including an attacker-chosen identifier, using the application's own elevated backend credentials. This allows an authenticated user on a deployment intended to be read-only to forge or overwrite stored records that should not be modifiable in that deployment mode.

———Mousehole is a background service to update a seedbox IP for MAM and web app to manage it. Prior to version 0.4.05, Mousehole's HTTP/WebSocket management boundary is reachable without application-layer authentication or browser/LAN provenance checks. The service stores a MyAnonamouse (MAM) session cookie in state and reuses the same cookie-bearing serialization for persisted state, public API responses, and WebSocket state updates. Any client that can reach the published Mousehole port can read cookie-bearing state, connect to WebSocket state updates, replace the stored cookie, or force MAM update side effects. The Types::submit() dashboard controller loaded and saved the Page Type identified by a user-supplied ptID without calling canEditPageType(), so a signed-in dashboard user permitted to edit one Page Type could modify the configuration of Page Types outside their assigned authorization boundary. The update_page_type token was validated but is action- and user-scoped rather than object-scoped, so it did not constrain which Page Type could be targeted.
