Technical description

SigNoz from v0.8.0 before v0.143.0 defaults the JWT tokenizer signing secret (tokenizer::jwt::secret, set via SIGNOZ_TOKENIZER_JWT_SECRET or the deprecated SIGNOZ_JWT_SECRET) to an empty string, and Config.Validate() does not reject the empty value, so a deployment that does not configure a secret starts up and both signs and verifies session tokens with an empty HMAC key. Because the JWT tokenizer was the default provider, any such deployment is affected. An unauthenticated attacker who knows the ID of an existing user can forge a valid session token for that user — including an administrator — by signing the id, orgId and email claims with an empty key; the organization ID (and whether an email is registered) can be obtained without authentication from /api/v2/sessions/context. A forged refresh token can be exchanged at /api/v2/sessions/rotate for a new token pair and cannot be revoked, so it remains usable for its full lifetime (30 days by default). Fixed in v0.143.0, which requires a JWT secret when the jwt provider is selected and changes the default provider to opaque.

——0A2A Java SDK is the official Java SDK for the Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol. Prior to 1.3.0.Final, the default InMemoryTaskStore configuration performs no authorization on task reads: the no-argument constructor sets authorizationProvider to null, and InMemoryTaskStore.get(String taskId) returns the stored task without checking the caller or owner. Authorization depends on supplying a TaskAuthorizationProvider and routing requests through AuthorizationRequestHandlerDecorator, whether installed through CDI or explicitly by the application. Default store wiring and manually constructed DefaultRequestHandler.builder().build() handlers, including integrations such as Spring, leave task reads unprotected when no effective authorization-provider and decorator check is installed. In a multi-caller deployment using the default configuration, a caller who knows or guesses another caller's task ID can retrieve the task status, context ID, message history, and artifacts. The default/reference transport endpoints do not enforce authentication, so the task-read disclosure is reachable by an unauthenticated caller rather than requiring a privileged account. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.0.Final.20h

——12Letta through 0.16.8 ships a compose.yaml that does not enable LETTA_SERVER_SECURE, so the password middleware is never added and all API routes are unauthenticated, and it exposes a superuser PostgreSQL port with default credentials. Remote attackers can execute arbitrary Python via POST /v1/tools/run, manage /v1/admin users, or run OS commands via COPY PROGRAM.20h

——13Coze Studio before 0.5.0 contains an insecure default configuration that allows any registered user to execute commands by running workflow code nodes in an unsandboxed python3 subprocess. Attackers can bypass the regex import filter with __import__('subprocess') to run commands, stealing environment variables, model API keys, and accessing MySQL, MinIO, Redis and etcd.20h

——14Cognition before 0.13.0 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability due to defaulting its agent sandbox backend to local execution and shipping no authentication on its REST/SSE API. Attackers can create a session via POST /sessions and post a message via POST /sessions/{id}/messages without credentials, causing the Deep Agents ReAct loop to run attacker-directed shell commands through the local shell backend, resulting in remote code execution as the server process.23h

——12Missing Authorization (CWE-862) and Initialization of a Resource with an Insecure Default (CWE-1188) in the MCP proxy (HandleStreamPassThrough in mcp_service.go) and OIDC registration flow (GET /info and POST /register in internal/controlplane/server.go) in Google OSS Agent Mesh (SAM) versions 0.1.0-alpha.1 through 0.1.0-alpha.8 allow a remote attacker to self-enroll into the mesh and invoke arbitrary tools across all connected MCP backend nodes. Because GET /info publicly discloses OIDC configuration, POST /register auto-enrolls any valid OIDC token holder without claim filtering or ban checks, and the default policy binds sam:system:authenticated to wildcard services and targets, an attacker can obtain a mesh credential with full read, write, and execution access on backend services. Users should upgrade to version 0.1.0-alpha.9 or later, which enforces a fail-closed default policy, explicit policy-binding requirements on enrollment, and ban checks.2d

——6FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. From 3.9.0 until 3.22.0, pristine manual FileRise installations without PERSISTENT_TOKENS_KEY or metadata/persistent_tokens.key can activate a published legacy compatibility key. If an attacker separately obtains ciphertext-bearing account or configuration files, the known fallback key can enable decryption of TOTP secrets or credentials. Docker installations already generated a unique persistent key, and existing installations are not automatically rotated because doing so could make encrypted state unreadable. This issue is fixed in version 3.22.0.2d
