——1An information leakage vulnerability exists in the Endpoint DLP component (epdlpdrv.sys) of Netskope Client for Windows prior to version R141. An internal communication channel used by the user-space hook DLL to pass messages through the kernel driver to the daemon lacked proper token-based message validation, allowing local unprivileged processes to send unauthorized queries. Additionally, a reply buffer used by the port message handler was not properly initialized before returning data, leaking residual kernel pool memory from prior allocations. A local unprivileged attacker could exploit this vulnerability to enumerate DLP configuration and feature flags, extract live session tokens, and read kernel memory fragments from other users' operations.42d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: team: Move team device type change at the end of team_port_add Attempting to add a port device that is already up will expectedly fail, but not before modifying the team device header_ops. In the case of the syzbot reproducer the gre0 device is already in state UP when it attempts to add it as a port device of team0, this fails but before that header_ops->create of team0 is changed from eth_header to ipgre_header in the call to team_dev_type_check_change. Later when we end up in ipgre_header() struct ip_tunnel* points to nonsense as the private data of the device still holds a struct team. Example sequence of iproute2 commands to reproduce the hang/BUG(): ip link add dev team0 type team ip link add dev gre0 type gre ip link set dev gre0 up ip link set dev gre0 master team0 ip link set dev team0 up ping -I team0 1.1.1.1 Move team_dev_type_check_change down where all other checks have passed as it changes the dev type with no way to restore it in case one of the checks that follow it fail. Also make sure to preserve the origial mtu assignment: - If port_dev is not the same type as dev, dev takes mtu from port_dev - If port_dev is the same type as dev, port_dev takes mtu from dev This is done by adding a conditional before the call to dev_set_mtu to prevent it from assigning port_dev->mtu = dev->mtu and instead letting team_dev_type_check_change assign dev->mtu = port_dev->mtu. The conditional is needed because the patch moves the call to team_dev_type_check_change past dev_set_mtu. Testing: - team device driver in-tree selftests - Add/remove various devices as slaves of team device - syzbot11d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix race in do_task() when draining When do_task() exhausts its iteration budget (!ret), it sets the state to TASK_STATE_IDLE to reschedule, without a secondary check on the current task->state. This can overwrite the TASK_STATE_DRAINING state set by a concurrent call to rxe_cleanup_task() or rxe_disable_task(). While state changes are protected by a spinlock, both rxe_cleanup_task() and rxe_disable_task() release the lock while waiting for the task to finish draining in the while(!is_done(task)) loop. The race occurs if do_task() hits its iteration limit and acquires the lock in this window. The cleanup logic may then proceed while the task incorrectly reschedules itself, leading to a potential use-after-free. This bug was introduced during the migration from tasklets to workqueues, where the special handling for the draining case was lost. Fix this by restoring the original pre-migration behavior. If the state is TASK_STATE_DRAINING when iterations are exhausted, set cont to 1 to force a new loop iteration. This allows the task to finish its work, so that a subsequent iteration can reach the switch statement and correctly transition the state to TASK_STATE_DRAINED, stopping the task as intended.11d

——1Relative Path Traversal vulnerability in Erlang OTP (stdlib zip module) allows writing files outside the intended extraction directory via a crafted zip archive. zip:unzip/1,2 and zip:extract/1,2 validate entry paths using zip:check_dir_level/2, which tracks directory depth as a running integer counter: .. decrements it, normal path components increment it. The caller rejects only paths where the final counter value is less than zero. A path such as ../x/y causes the counter to go negative mid-traversal then recover to zero, passing validation while resolving to a location outside the extraction directory when joined with the current working directory via add_cwd. This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/stdlib/src/zip.erl. This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.1 before OTP 27.3.4.15, OTP 28.5.0.4, and OTP 29.0.4, corresponding to stdlib from 6.1 before 6.2.2.4, 7.3.0.1, and 8.0.3.6d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Harden uplink netdev access against device unbind The function mlx5_uplink_netdev_get() gets the uplink netdevice pointer from mdev->mlx5e_res.uplink_netdev. However, the netdevice can be removed and its pointer cleared when unbound from the mlx5_core.eth driver. This results in a NULL pointer, causing a kernel panic. BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 0000000000001300 at RIP: 0010:mlx5e_vport_rep_load+0x22a/0x270 [mlx5_core] Call Trace: <TASK> mlx5_esw_offloads_rep_load+0x68/0xe0 [mlx5_core] esw_offloads_enable+0x593/0x910 [mlx5_core] mlx5_eswitch_enable_locked+0x341/0x420 [mlx5_core] mlx5_devlink_eswitch_mode_set+0x17e/0x3a0 [mlx5_core] devlink_nl_eswitch_set_doit+0x60/0xd0 genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0xe0/0x130 genl_rcv_msg+0x183/0x290 netlink_rcv_skb+0x4b/0xf0 genl_rcv+0x24/0x40 netlink_unicast+0x255/0x380 netlink_sendmsg+0x1f3/0x420 __sock_sendmsg+0x38/0x60 __sys_sendto+0x119/0x180 do_syscall_64+0x53/0x1d0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x4b/0x53 Ensure the pointer is valid before use by checking it for NULL. ——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: fix queue freeze vs limits lock order in sysfs store methods queue_attr_store() always freezes a device queue before calling the attribute store operation. For attributes that control queue limits, the store operation will also lock the queue limits with a call to queue_limits_start_update(). However, some drivers (e.g. SCSI sd) may need to issue commands to a device to obtain limit values from the hardware with the queue limits locked. This creates a potential ABBA deadlock situation if a user attempts to modify a limit (thus freezing the device queue) while the device driver starts a revalidation of the device queue limits. Avoid such deadlock by not freezing the queue before calling the ->store_limit() method in struct queue_sysfs_entry and instead use the queue_limits_commit_update_frozen helper to freeze the queue after taking the limits lock. This also removes taking the sysfs lock for the store_limit method as it doesn't protect anything here, but creates even more nesting. Hopefully it will go away from the actual sysfs methods entirely soon. (commit log adapted from a similar patch from Damien Le Moal)104d

——1Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource (CWE-732) in Elastic Agent can lead to local privilege escalation via Replace Binaries (CAPEC-642).
