——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/ntfs3: validate Dirty Page Table capacity in log_replay copy_lcns
In the analysis pass of $LogFile journal replay, log_replay() copies
LCNs from each action log record into an existing Dirty Page Table
(DPT) entry without bounding the destination index. A crafted NTFS
image with DPT entry lcns_follow=1 and an action log record with
lcns_follow=2 produces a kernel slab out-of-bounds write at mount
time:
BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in log_replay+0x654c/0xdb60
Write of size 8 at addr ffff8880095e1040 by task mount
Two attacker-controlled fields can drive j+i past the allocated
page_lcns[] array:
1. dp->lcns_follow (capacity) can be smaller than lrh->lcns_follow.
2. lrh->target_vcn may be smaller than dp->vcn, making the u64
subtraction wrap to a huge size_t.
Validate target VCN delta and per-record LCN count against the
DPT entry capacity, bail via the existing out: cleanup label with
-EINVAL.
This mirrors the bounds-check pattern added in commit b2bc7c44ed17
("fs/ntfs3: Fix slab-out-of-bounds read in DeleteIndexEntryRoot")
and commit 0ca0485e4b2e ("fs/ntfs3: validate rec->used in
journal-replay file record check").8dCVE-2017-17302—3.0%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rds: drop incoming messages that cross network namespace boundaries
rds_find_bound() looks up the destination socket using a global
rhashtable keyed solely on (addr, port, scope_id). Network namespaces
are not part of the key, so a sender in netns A can deliver an incoming
message (inc) to a socket that lives in a different netns B.
When this happens, inc->i_conn points to an rds_connection whose c_net
is netns A, but the receiving rs lives in netns B. Once the child
process that created netns A exits, cleanup_net() calls
rds_loop_exit_net() -> rds_loop_kill_conns() -> rds_conn_destroy(),
freeing that connection. If the survivor socket in netns B still holds
the inc, any subsequent dereference of inc->i_conn is a use-after-free.
There are two dangerous sites in rds_clear_recv_queue():
1. inc->i_conn->c_lcong (offset 88 of freed rds_connection, size 200)
read via rds_recv_rcvbuf_delta() -- confirmed by KASAN.
2. inc->i_conn->c_trans->inc_free(inc) (function pointer at offset 80)
called via rds_inc_put() when the inc refcount reaches zero -- same
race window, potential call-through-freed-object primitive.
The bug is reachable from unprivileged user namespaces
(CLONE_NEWUSER + CLONE_NEWNET), available since Linux 3.8.
Fix this by rejecting the delivery in rds_recv_incoming() when the
socket returned by rds_find_bound() belongs to a different network
namespace than the connection that carried the message. Use the
existing rds_conn_net() / sock_net() helpers and net_eq() for the
comparison.8dCVE-2026-25834—3.0%

——1A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). A local attacker with privileges to connect to the PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) responder socket can send a specially crafted protocol request. If the `pam_app_services` configuration is enabled and the service item is omitted from the request, a NULL pointer dereference can occur. This vulnerability leads to a denial of service, causing the PAM responder to crash and disrupt authentication services.13dCVE-2025-21019—3.0%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/packet: reset the MAC header on the packet-socket transmit path
packet_parse_headers() resets the MAC header only for a SOCK_RAW frame
whose socket did not bind a protocol. A protocol-bound SOCK_RAW socket,
any SOCK_DGRAM frame, and the legacy SOCK_PACKET path therefore leave
skb->mac_header unset here.
For frames sent via __dev_queue_xmit() this is harmless: it resets the
MAC header unconditionally. But the packet-socket PACKET_QDISC_BYPASS
path uses dev_direct_xmit(), which does not, so the frame reaches
ndo_start_xmit() with the MAC header unset. A driver that reads
eth_hdr(skb) on transmit then dereferences skb->head + (u16)~0, an
out-of-bounds access ~64 KiB past the head -- the same class fixed for
one consumer in commit f5089008f90c ("macsec: do not read an unset MAC
header in macsec_encrypt()").
packet_parse_headers() runs only on the transmit path, where skb->data
points at the start of the L2 header for every packet-socket type
regardless of its length: SOCK_RAW and SOCK_PACKET carry a user-supplied
header and SOCK_DGRAM has one built by dev_hard_header(). Reset the MAC
header unconditionally, mirroring __dev_queue_xmit(), so the frame is
anchored on the bypass path too.
Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis;
verified against source and matched to the macsec KASAN report in
f5089008f90c. Compile-tested.11dCVE-2026-681498.4 HIG3.0%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs: preserve ACL_DONT_CACHE state in forget_cached_acl()
The ACL_DONT_CACHE state is meant to be a constant state for the inode
for filesystems that want to opt out of posix acl caching.
Commit facd61053cff1 ("fuse: fixes after adapting to new posix acl api")
used this facility to opt out of posix acl caching for fuse inodes with
fuse server that does not negotiate FUSE_POSIX_ACL (fc->posix_acl).
The commit also takes care to gate the forget_all_cached_acls() call in
fuse_set_acl() on fc->posix_acl because there is no need for it, but
there are other placed in fuse code which call forget_all_cached_acls()
unconditional to fc->posix_acl and those cause the loss of the
ACL_DONT_CACHE state.
This is not only a functional bug. Properly timed, a get_acl() from this
fuse filesystem can return a stale cached value, as was observed in tests,
because set_acl() does not invalidate the unintentional acl cache.
We could fix this in fuse, but it actually makes no sense for the vfs
helper forget_cached_acl() to invalidate the ACL_DONT_CACHE state, so
let it not do that to fix fuse and future users of ACL_DONT_CACHE.8dCVE-2026-234447.8 HIG3.0%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: always free skb on ieee80211_tx_prepare_skb() failure
ieee80211_tx_prepare_skb() has three error paths, but only two of them
free the skb. The first error path (ieee80211_tx_prepare() returning
TX_DROP) does not free it, while invoke_tx_handlers() failure and the
fragmentation check both do.
Add kfree_skb() to the first error path so all three are consistent,
and remove the now-redundant frees in callers (ath9k, mt76,
mac80211_hwsim) to avoid double-free.
Document the skb ownership guarantee in the function's kdoc.8dCVE-2026-868933.3 LOW3.0%

——1Rsync version 3.4.2 and prior contain symlink race condition vulnerabilities in path-based system calls including chmod, lchown, utimes, rename, unlink, mkdir, symlink, mknod, link, rmdir, and lstat that allow local attackers to redirect operations to files outside the exported rsync module. Attackers with local filesystem access can exploit the timing window between path resolution and syscall execution by swapping symlinks to apply sender-supplied permissions, ownership, timestamps, or filenames to arbitrary files outside the intended module boundary on rsync daemons configured with 'use chroot = no'.105dCVE-2026-555677.8 HIG3.0%
——1BleachBit cleans files to free disk space and to maintain privacy. Prior to 6.0.1, privileged Windows cleaning does not lock and validate a target's parent directory before deletion. A local unprivileged user can replace that directory with a Windows junction and use a native symlink to redirect the elevated deletion to an attacker-selected file. The arbitrary privileged file deletion can be combined with Windows Installer behavior to obtain local SYSTEM privileges. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.1.33dCVE-2026-641267.3 HIG3.0%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: MGMT: validate Add Extended Advertising Data length
MGMT_OP_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA is registered as a variable-length command,
with MGMT_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA_SIZE as the fixed header size. The handler
then uses cp->adv_data_len and cp->scan_rsp_len to validate and copy
cp->data, but it never checks that those bytes are part of the mgmt
command payload.
A short command can therefore make add_ext_adv_data() pass an
out-of-bounds pointer into tlv_data_is_valid(). If the bytes beyond
the command buffer are addressable, they can also be copied into the
advertising instance as scan response data, where the caller can read
them back via MGMT_OP_GET_ADV_INSTANCE. The trigger requires
CAP_NET_ADMIN in the initial user namespace; KASAN reports an 8-byte
slab-out-of-bounds read.
Reject commands whose length does not match the fixed header plus both
advertising data lengths before parsing cp->data.8dCVE-2026-548913.7 LOW2.9%
——1Improper Enforcement of Message Integrity During Transmission in a Communication Channel vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (tls_gen_connection module) allows a network-positioned attacker to inject unauthenticated plaintext that the TLS client application later treats as authenticated server data.
The function tls_gen_connection:handle_protocol_record/3 rejects APPLICATION_DATA records that arrive in pre-handshake states when the TLS endpoint acts as a server, but does not apply the same check when the endpoint acts as a client. A network-positioned attacker can send plaintext APPLICATION_DATA records to the client during the handshake. The records are buffered and, once the handshake completes successfully, delivered to the application as if they were authenticated post-handshake data. The attacker cannot observe the client's response or steer the connection, so the impact is limited to blind injection of unauthenticated bytes. The injection window is wider for TLS versions prior to TLS 1.3 than for TLS 1.3.
This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/ssl/src/tls_gen_connection.erl.
TLS 1.3 is affected starting with OTP 22.0, when TLS 1.3 support was added.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 27.3.4.14, from OTP 28.0 before OTP 28.5.0.3, and from OTP 29.0 before OTP 29.0.3, corresponding to ssl from 5.3.4 before 11.2.12.10, from 11.3 before 11.6.0.3, and from 11.7 before 11.7.3. Whether OTP before OTP 17.0, corresponding to ssl before 5.3.4, is affected is unknown.2dCVE-2026-872617.3 HIG3.0%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ring-buffer: Use current_context for safe per-CPU buffer swap
The ring_buffer_swap_cpu() function currently checks the per-CPU
committing counter to determine if a buffer is actively being written to
before performing the swap. However, there exists a race window where
this check can be bypassed:
ring_buffer_lock_reserve
cpu_buffer = buffer->buffers[cpu]; // cpu_buffer_a
rb_reserve_next_event
rb_start_commit // inc committing
if (unlikely(READ_ONCE(cpu_buffer->buffer) != buffer)) {...}
__rb_reserve_next
rb_move_tail
rb_end_commit(cpu_buffer); // dec committing => 0
/* interrupt hits here, successfully swaps! */
local_inc(&cpu_buffer->committing);
ring_buffer_unlock_commit
cpu_buffer = buffer->buffers[cpu]; // cpu_buffer_b
rb_commit
rb_end_commit
RB_WARN_ON(cpu_buffer, !local_read(&cpu_buffer->committing))
// triggers warning
The committing counter can temporarily drop to 0 during a single write
operation (within rb_move_tail), creating a window where swap can
succeed even though the write is still in progress. This leads to
inconsistent buffer state and triggers the RB_WARN_ON in rb_commit().
Replace the committing counter check with current_context checks, which
are set at the entry of ring_buffer_lock_reserve() and remain valid
throughout the entire write operation, providing a reliable indicator of
buffer busy state during swap.11dCVE-2026-599157.3 HIG3.0%

——1dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 78ea09e, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the control socket handling within src/control.c that allows local unprivileged attackers to trigger memory corruption when privilege separation is disabled. Attackers can connect to the control socket and send a privileged command such as -x, causing control_recvdata() to free the client object while the same READ+HANGUP event subsequently reaches control_hangup() with the stale pointer, resulting in a use-after-free condition exploitable in deployments using --disable-privsep or where privsep initialization has failed with the control socket operating in mode 0666.2dCVE-2026-430937.8 HIG3.0%

xsk: tighten UMEM headroom validation to account for tailroom and min frame
The current headroom validation in xdp_umem_reg() could leave us with
insufficient space dedicated to even receive minimum-sized ethernet
frame. Furthermore if multi-buffer would come to play then
skb_shared_info stored at the end of XSK frame would be corrupted.
HW typically works with 128-aligned sizes so let us provide this value
as bare minimum.
Multi-buffer setting is known later in the configuration process so
besides accounting for 128 bytes, let us also take care of tailroom space

——1Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.8, Notepad++ incompletely enforces shortcuts.xml HMAC validation because WM_MACRODLGRUNMACRO, the Run a Macro Multiple Times entry point, calls macroPlayback() without the validation used by command(). A tampered shortcuts.xml macro that is blocked through the Macro menu or a shortcut key can therefore execute through the multi-run dialog and invoke internal Notepad++ commands, including commands that launch external programs, in the current user context.
