——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Validate length for CCA AES cipher key requests cca_cipher2protkey() derives the copy length for the CPRB parameter block directly from the length field in the key token. Reject the request early if the token length exceeds the available space in the parameter block.7d

——1GNU Aspell contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in ReadOnlyDict::load() in readonly_ws.cpp. When loading a binary .rws dictionary file, it uses offset fields from the file header as byte indices into a heap buffer without validating their bounds. An attacker can trigger this by convincing a user to run aspell with a crafted dictionary file supplied through --master, --dict-dir, or configuration options, leading to heap memory disclosure or a denial of service via application crash. This issue was fixed in commit 941953b25031bc9104e83f58e138a664b8dedc3f which will be released in version 0.60.8.3.20d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: nl80211: reject oversized EMA RNR lists nl80211_parse_rnr_elems() stores the parsed element count in a u8-backed cfg80211_rnr_elems::cnt field and uses that count to size the flexible array allocation. Reject nested NL80211_ATTR_EMA_RNR_ELEMS input once the count reaches 255, before incrementing it again. This keeps the parser aligned with the data structure it fills and matches the existing bound check used by nl80211_parse_mbssid_elems().7d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Validate GPIO pin LUT table size before iterating [Why&How] The GPIO pin table parsers in get_gpio_i2c_info() and bios_parser_get_gpio_pin_info() derive an element count from the VBIOS table_header.structuresize field, then iterate over gpio_pin[] entries. However, GET_IMAGE() only validates that the table header itself fits within the BIOS image. If the VBIOS reports a structuresize larger than the actual mapped data, the loop reads past the end of the BIOS image, causing an out-of-bounds read. Fix this by calling bios_get_image() to validate that the full claimed structuresize is accessible within the BIOS image before entering the loop in both functions. ——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: defio: Disconnect deferred I/O from the lifetime of struct fb_info Hold state of deferred I/O in struct fb_deferred_io_state. Allocate an instance as part of initializing deferred I/O and remove it only after the final mapping has been closed. If the fb_info and the contained deferred I/O meanwhile goes away, clear struct fb_deferred_io_state.info to invalidate the mapping. Any access will then result in a SIGBUS signal. Fixes a long-standing problem, where a device hot-unplug happens while user space still has an active mapping of the graphics memory. The hot- unplug frees the instance of struct fb_info. Accessing the memory will operate on undefined state.7d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: eeprom: add more safeties to EEPROM Netlink fallback The Netlink fallback path for reading module EEPROM (fallback_set_params()) validates that offset < eeprom_len, but does not check that offset + length stays within eeprom_len. The ioctl equivalent (ethtool_get_any_eeprom() in ioctl.c) has always enforced both bounds: if (eeprom.offset + eeprom.len > total_len) return -EINVAL; This could lead to surprises in both drivers and device FW. Add the missing offset + length validation to fallback_set_params(), mirroring the ioctl. Similarly - ethtool core in general, and ethtool_get_any_eeprom() in particular tries to zero-init all buffers passed to the drivers to avoid any extra work of zeroing things out. eeprom_fallback() uses a plain kmalloc(), change it to zalloc.7d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Fix out-of-bounds write in irdma_copy_user_pgaddrs The irdma_copy_user_pgaddrs function loops through all of the umem DMA blocks to populate the PBLEs and will stop when either the last DMA block is reached or palloc->total_cnt is reached. The issue is that the logic for checking palloc->total_cnt would only work for non-zero values. When irdma_setup_pbles is called with lvl==0, it calls irdma_copy_user_pgaddrs with palloc->total_cnt==0, which means the only way to break out of the loop is to reach the last umem DMA block, which means it could end up going beyond the fixed size of 4 iwmr->pgaddrmem array that is used in the lvl==0 case. In the case of QP/CQ/SRQ rings, the value of lvl is determined by a separate input (for example, req.cq_pages in the case of a CQ). So, we must perform explicit checking to ensure we don't overflow the pgaddrmem array if the user provides a umem that consists of more blocks than their provided req.cq_pages.10d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: reset write verifier on deferred writeback errors nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit() both call filemap_check_wb_err() to detect deferred writeback errors, but neither rotates the server's write verifier (nn->writeverf) when this check fails. Every other durable-storage-failure path in these functions calls commit_reset_write_verifier() before returning an error. The missing rotation means clients holding UNSTABLE write data under the current verifier will COMMIT, receive the unchanged verifier back, and conclude their data is durable — silently dropping data that failed writeback. This violates the UNSTABLE+COMMIT durability contract (RFC 1813 §3.3.7, RFC 8881 §18.32). Add commit_reset_write_verifier() calls at both filemap_check_wb_err() error sites, matching the pattern used by adjacent error paths in the same functions. The helper already filters -EAGAIN and -ESTALE internally, so the calls are unconditionally safe.71d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af_alg - Fix page reassignment overflow in af_alg_pull_tsgl When page reassignment was added to af_alg_pull_tsgl the original loop wasn't updated so it may try to reassign one more page than necessary. Add the check to the reassignment so that this does not happen. Also update the comment which still refers to the obsolete offset argument.7d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: pxa: fix double counting of the hw descriptors pxad_alloc_desc() was converted from kzalloc(struct_size(sw_desc, hw_desc, nb_hw_desc), GFP_NOWAIT) to kzalloc_flex(), which sets the __counted_by() counter sw_desc->nb_desc itself - but only where the compiler has __builtin_counted_by_ref(), so from gcc 15.1 or clang 22.1 on. The loop below it still increments nb_desc, which makes it come out doubled there and correct elsewhere. nb_desc is what pxad_free_desc() iterates over and what set_updater_desc() indexes from, so set it explicitly and drop the increment. The error path has to lower it to the number of descriptors allocated so far, otherwise pxad_free_desc() would free entries that were never allocated.8d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/openvswitch: check Ethernet header length in key_extract() When a packet arrives on an ARPHRD_NONE device (e.g. TUN), ovs_flow_key_extract() trusts the user-provided skb->protocol field: if it is ETH_P_TEB, the packet is classified as MAC_PROTO_ETHERNET and key_extract() is called without ensuring the skb has ETH_HLEN (14) bytes of linear data. key_extract() unconditionally pulls 2 * ETH_ALEN bytes for MAC addresses and parse_ethertype() pulls 2 more, either of which triggers a kernel BUG in __skb_pull() when the linear area is too small. kernel BUG at include/linux/skbuff.h:2848! RIP: 0010:key_extract+0xa7e/0xd90 net/openvswitch/flow.c:933 ovs_flow_key_extract+0x419/0xa70 ovs_vport_receive+0x222/0x390 netdev_frame_hook+0x3e0/0x630 tun_get_user+0x2d0c/0x38e0 Fixed by calling check_header() in key_extract() before accessing the Ethernet header.10d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390: Revert support for DCACHE_WORD_ACCESS load_unaligned_zeropad() reads eight bytes from unaligned addresses and may cross page boundaries. It handles exceptions which may happen if reading from the second page results in an exception. For pages which are donated to the Ultravisor for secure execution purposes the do_secure_storage_access() exception handler however does not handle such exceptions correctly. Such an exception may result in an endless exception loop which will never be resolved. An attempt to fix this [1] turned out to be not sufficient. For now revert load_unaligned_zeropad() until this problem has been resolved in a proper way. Note that the implementation of load_unaligned_zeropad() itself is correct. The revert is just a temporary workaround until there is complete fix for secure storage access exceptions.
