CVE-2026-807007.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vmwgfx: validate external BO copy bounds for both stride paths
vmw_external_bo_copy() trusts caller-supplied offsets, strides, and
heights and operates on imported dma-buf vmaps:
- The equal-stride memcpy() bound was clamped after subtracting the
offsets from dst_size and src_size; an offset larger than the BO
size wraps the unsigned subtraction to a huge value and the
resulting memcpy() runs off the end of the vmap. dst_stride *
height is also a u32 multiplication that can overflow.
- The non-equal-stride row-by-row path had no bound at all. The
loop touches bytes through offset + (height - 1) * stride +
width_in_bytes, with only a WARN_ON(dst_stride < width_in_bytes),
and could likewise step past the end of either mapping.
The offsets and strides are derived from STDU/SOU plane state, so a
configured CRTC submitting a crafted atomic commit on an imported
framebuffer can reach this path.
Validate the exact row-copy endpoint against each BO's size up front
using check_mul_overflow() and check_add_overflow(). Use the bulk
memcpy() path only when width_in_bytes covers the whole stride;
otherwise copy one row at a time so partial-row updates near the bottom
of a framebuffer remain valid. Also reject zero strides and stride <
width_in_bytes, both of which the row-by-row path cannot represent
safely.10dCVE-2026-742887.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: fib_rules: Don't dump dying fib_rule in fib_rules_dump().
rocker_router_fib_event() calls fib_rule_get() during RCU dump.
If the fib_rule is dying, refcount_inc() will complain about it.
Let's call refcount_inc_not_zero() in fib_rules_dump().10dCVE-2026-743307.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
configfs: fix lockless traversals of ->s_children
Having the parent directory locked protects entries from removal
by another thread, but it does *not* protect cursors from being
moved around by lseek() - or freed, for that matter.10dCVE-2026-982517.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
openvswitch: avoid reallocating confirmed conntrack labels
ovs_ct_get_conn_labels() adds the labels extension when a conntrack
entry does not have one. Confirmed conntracks can be read locklessly,
so adding an extension may reallocate and free the extension block
while another CPU accesses it.
Only add the extension for unconfirmed conntracks. A confirmed
conntrack without labels now fails the caller's label operation instead
of reallocating its extension storage.7dCVE-2026-937987.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix reloc root cleanup in merge_reloc_roots()
If the root we got has zero root refs in its root item, we are resetting
the root's ->reloc_root without using barriers like we do everywhere else.
Sashiko complained about this while reviewing another patch, and it's
correct (see the Link tag below).
Also, we should not clear BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root unless
the root points to the reloc root we have.
Fix this by using clear_reloc_root(), which issues the memory barrier
after setting the root's ->reloc_root to NULL and before clearing the bit
BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root.23dCVE-2026-982828.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
powerpc/iommu: Fix the overflow validation in iommu_tce_check_ioba
The commit b1af23d836f8 ("KVM: PPC: iommu: Unify TCE checking") unified
IOBA parameter checking across KVM and VFIO into iommu_tce_check_ioba().
While doing so, the passed in argument npages is ignored and constant
value '1' is used leaving out a possible overflow as the callers can
legitimately be using npages > 1 for H_STUFF_TCE or H_PUT_TCE_INDIRECT
cases.
Fix this by accounting for 'npages', checking for arithmetic overflow,
and verifying that the entire requested range (ioba - offset + npages)
does not exceed the table capacity 'size'.7dCVE-2026-744057.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
OPP: Fix race between OPP addition and lookup
A race exists between dev_pm_opp_add_dynamic() and
dev_pm_opp_find_freq_exact():
CPU0 (add) CPU1 (lookup)
------------------------------- ------------------------------
_opp_add()
mutex_lock()
list_add(&new_opp->node, head)
mutex_unlock() _opp_table_find_key()
mutex_lock()
dev_pm_opp_get(opp)
kref_get()
mutex_unlock()
kref_init(&new_opp->kref)
dev_pm_opp_put()
kref_put_mutex()
The newly added OPP is inserted into the list before its kref is
initialized. A concurrent lookup can find this OPP and increment its
reference count while it is still uninitialized, leading to refcount
corruption and a potential premature free.
Fix this by initializing ->kref and ->opp_table before making the OPP
visible via list_add(). This ensures any concurrent lookup observes a
fully initialized object.

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vmwgfx: validate DRAW_PRIMITIVES header size before division
vmw_cmd_draw() computes
maxnum = (header->size - sizeof(cmd->body)) / sizeof(*decl);
where header->size is u32 and is taken straight from the user-supplied
command stream. When header->size is less than sizeof(cmd->body) the
unsigned subtraction wraps to nearly 4 GiB, producing a huge maxnum.
Any user-controlled cmd->body.numVertexDecls then passes the bound and
the loop dereferences decl[i] far past the end of the kernel command
bounce buffer, producing an out-of-bounds read of kernel memory.
Reject undersized headers up front.10dCVE-2026-744467.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdkfd: hold event_mutex while checkpointing CRIU events
kfd_criu_checkpoint_events() counts the entries in p->event_idr via
kfd_get_num_events(), allocates an array sized to that count, and then
walks the same IDR to fill it. Neither the count nor the walk holds
p->event_mutex.
The CRIU checkpoint caller holds only p->mutex. Event create and destroy
(kfd_event_create()/kfd_event_destroy()) take p->event_mutex and do not
take p->mutex, so a second thread in the same process can insert or remove
events between the count and the walk. If an event is inserted, the walk
iterates more entries than were counted and writes past the end of the
ev_privs allocation; if an event is removed, the walk dereferences an
entry that is being freed.
Hold p->event_mutex across the count and the walk so both observe a
consistent view of p->event_idr. The lock is released before
copy_to_user(), which only touches the local buffer. The caller already
holds p->mutex and the create/destroy paths never take p->mutex, so the
p->mutex -> p->event_mutex order is not inverted and no deadlock is
introduced.

The itemsize matches the namelen, but the namelen is 4096, way larger
than normal name length limit (BTRFS_NAME_LEN, 255).
Meanwhile the memory of the @name is only 255 byte sized, this will cause
out-of-boundary access, and cause the above crash.
[FIX]
Add extra namelen verification for INODE_REF, just like what we have
done in ROOT_REF checks.

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vc4: Supply the overflow slot size in BPOS, not the whole bin BO size
vc4_overflow_mem_work() points BPOA at a 512KB slot inside the 16MB
binner BO, but writes the size of the whole BO to BPOS. On every binner
out-of-memory event the PTB is therefore authorized to write tile lists
across all the other slots (which may hold the tile state, tile alloc and
overflow memory of in-flight jobs) and, for any slot but the first, past
the end of the binner BO into unrelated CMA memory.
Since CMA pages are recycled into page cache and user allocations, this
is arbitrary memory corruption by GPU DMA. In practice it shows up as GPU
hangs with corrupted control list pointers, userspace heap corruption, a
GPU that stays permanently wedged after the first hang, and occasional
full system crashes, whenever a job overflows the initial binner slot.
The bug dates back to the conversion from a dedicated overflow BO (where
writing the full BO size was correct) to the slotted binner BO.68dCVE-2026-932887.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nfnetlink_log: wait for rcu grace period before freeing pernet state
sashiko reports: "nfnl_log_net_exit() calls nf_log_unset(), which
clears the logger pointer without an RCU grace period. Immediately after,
ops_free_list() frees the per-net state while concurrent packets might
still be executing nf_log_packet() under rcu_read_lock()."
Clear the pointer via .pre_exit to make sure rcu readers have completed
before pernet storage is free'd. The change in nf_log_syslog.c is only
done for consistency: it doesn't use pernet data.23dCVE-2026-894877.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
openvswitch: only skb_tx_error() a packet we are about to drop
queue_userspace_packet() borrows the packet skb -- it only copies it into
a private netlink message (user_skb) and does not own it; on return
do_execute_actions() keeps forwarding it through the flow's remaining
actions. Its error path nevertheless calls skb_tx_error(skb), which via
skb_zcopy_clear() does skb_shinfo(skb)->flags &= ~SKBFL_ALL_ZEROCOPY,
stripping SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG from that live skb (skb_tx_error()'s kerneldoc
says "skb must be freed afterwards").
For a MSG_ZEROCOPY skb carrying page-cache frags, SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG is
what makes esp_input() skb_cow_data() before in-place AEAD; once it is
stripped a later local ESP-in-UDP delivery decrypts in place over pages
the sender does not own -- an unprivileged page-cache write (the
"Fragnesia" primitive).
do_execute_actions() ignores output_userspace()'s return value, so any
action after a failed USERSPACE upcall inherits the stripped skb.
Move the skb_tx_error() to the flow-miss drop path - the "default"
branch of ovs_dp_process_packet()'s switch(error), before kfree_skb().
The call has been here since commit 36d5fe6a0007 ("core, nfqueue,
openvswitch: Orphan frags in skb_zerocopy and handle errors") but was
harmless until esp_input() began relying on SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG to gate
in-place decrypt; only then did stripping it on a still-forwarded skb
become a page-cache write primitive.8dCVE-2026-809787.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: cap advertised IP tunnel headroom
IP tunnel devices derive their advertised needed_headroom from lower
output devices. A stack of user-created devices can make the derived
value larger than the 16-bit skb header offsets can represent. Once IP
output reserves it, skb head expansion can wrap those offsets.
The runtime transmit path already caps a growing needed_headroom at 512.
Apply the same cap when tunnel configuration publishes needed_headroom
derived from a lower output device.
Capping the advertised value is safe: IP tunnel transmit still expands
the skb when a packet needs more headroom. A nonsensical stacked
configuration can therefore incur an extra reallocation, but it cannot
publish an unbounded reservation to upper layers.8dCVE-2026-642257.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
octeontx2-af: CGX: add bounds check to cgx_speed_mbps index
cgx_speed_mbps has 13 elements but RESP_LINKSTAT_SPEED can yield values
0-15. If it returns a value >= 13, this causes an out-of-bounds array
access. Add a bounds check and default to speed 0 if the index is out of
range.76dCVE-2026-746078.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SVM: Serialize accesses to the owner and mirror list with separate lock
Interaction between KVM_CAP_VM_MOVE_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM and
KVM_CAP_VM_COPY_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM can cause two separate issues:
- in sev_migrate_from(), when the destination KVM is a mirror, the mirror
entry is moved from the source's list to the owner's mirror_vms list,
without holding the owner's lock unlike other writers of the owner's
mirror list (sev_vm_copy_enc_context_from(), sev_vm_destroy()).
A concurrent COPY or destroy can race with sev_migrate_from() and
corrupt the list.
- In sev_vm_destroy(), the *owner* is still active and could receive
concurrently a KVM_CAP_VM_MOVE_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM that causes
sev->enc_context_owner to change. In this case the incorrect VM
receives kvm_put_kvm().
The second issue needs particular care because the owner could disappear
altogether (even though the race window is impossibly small) between
reading it and locking it. There is thus no way to perform the checks
under the owner lock without putting struct kvm under SLAB_TYPESAFE_BY_RCU
(which would allow kvm_get_kvm_safe() under RCU critical section).
It is much simpler to just use a global lock, since the critical
sections are so small and the new lock is always a leaf lock.10dCVE-2026-531598.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
misc: fastrpc: fix DMA address corruption due to find_vma misuse
fastrpc_get_args() uses find_vma() to look up the VMA for a user-provided
pointer and compute a DMA address offset. When the address falls in a gap
before the returned VMA, (ptr & PAGE_MASK) - vma->vm_start underflows,
corrupting the DMA address sent to the DSP.
Replace find_vma() with vma_lookup(), which returns NULL when the address
is not contained within any VMA.101dCVE-2026-807377.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
serial: amba-pl011: synchronize DMA teardown
dmaengine_terminate_all() does not wait for a running callback, so the TX
callback can still touch the TX buffer after it is freed. The RX poll
timer reads the RX buffers without the port lock.
Switch to dmaengine_terminate_sync() and delete the RX timer before
freeing the buffers.10dCVE-2026-809447.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mwifiex: Detach sync cmd buffer on interrupted wait
mwifiex synchronous commands keep the caller-provided data buffer in
cmd_node->data_buf. Several callers pass stack-allocated objects there.
If wait_event_interruptible_timeout() is interrupted, the caller can
return and release that stack object while the firmware command is still
the current command. A late firmware response then reaches the normal
response handler, which can copy data through cmd_node->data_buf into the
stale stack address.
This fixes a stack corruption observed during repeated association and
disassociation cycles. The panic trace showed the command wait being
interrupted immediately before a bad pointer dereference:
cmd_wait_q terminated: -512
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 002c583837384662
Kernel panic - not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupted
...
Tainted: [M]=MACHINE_CHECK
The fault address decodes as little-endian ASCII:
0x002c583837384662 -> "bF878X,\0"
which is a fragment of the VERSION_EXT firmware string exposed as
debugfs "verext":
w8997o-V4, RF878X, FP92, 16.92.21.p153.7
The same runs also showed corrupted control data containing:
0x2400372e333531 -> "153.7\0$"
which is the tail of the same VERSION_EXT string. This points at a late
VERSION_EXT response writing through a stale stack-backed data_buf after
the interrupted wait returned.
After cancelling pending commands on an interrupted or timed-out wait,
detach the caller-owned data buffer from the still-current command. This
preserves the existing command cancellation behaviour while preventing a
late response from writing through a pointer whose lifetime ended with the
waiting caller.

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: reject overly deep qdisc hierarchies
Deep qdisc hierarchies can lead to excessive recursion in qdisc tree
walkers and exhaust the kernel stack. The existing loop check does not
cover the create-and-graft path, so a hierarchy can still be extended by
creating a new child qdisc below an already deep parent.
Store the hierarchy depth in struct Qdisc and update it when qdiscs are
grafted. Reject new child qdiscs once the parent is already at the maximum
allowed depth.10dCVE-2026-809777.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: skbuff: don't touch shared zerocopy state in skb_tx_error()
skb_tx_error() completes the zerocopy uarg and clears
SKBFL_ALL_ZEROCOPY, and skb_zcopy_downgrade_managed() clears
SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS. Both live in skb_shinfo(), which every clone
shares, while the caller only owns the reference it is about to drop.
Through a clone it tells the producer its pages are free and drops
SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG for an skb that is still in flight.
Open vSwitch reaches this with a non-last OVS_ACTION_ATTR_RECIRC:
clone_execute() sends a skb_clone() into ovs_dp_process_packet() while
do_execute_actions() keeps forwarding the original, and skb_clone()
does not privatise the frags here -- skb_orphan_frags() returns early
on SKBFL_DONT_ORPHAN. A flow miss on the clone then strips the marker
from the packet still being forwarded, and a later local ESP delivery
decrypts in place over frags it does not own privately.
Skip it for a cloned skb. Nothing is lost: skb_release_data() clears
the zerocopy state once the last reference to the shared data goes.8dCVE-2026-746687.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
packet: use consistent hard_header_len in TX_RING send path
tpacket_snd() reads dev->hard_header_len independently for skb
allocation and header construction in tpacket_fill_skb(). Concurrent
netdevice reconfiguration can therefore make the reserved headroom
smaller than the amount later pushed, or make copylen - hard_header_len
negative.
Snapshot hard_header_len once before processing ring frames and use it
for the frame limit, headroom allocation, copy length, and skb
construction. Pass the snapshot to tpacket_fill_skb().
The separate SOCK_DGRAM consistency problem between hard_header_len and
header_ops->create is not addressed here.10dCVE-2026-805417.8 HIG2.5%

net/sched: act_ct: fix helper UAF due to extensions realloc
While calling the helpers, a raw pointer to the extensions area is
wired into expectations list:
-> nf_ct_helper()
-> helper->help()
-> nf_ct_expect_related_report()
-> nf_ct_expect_insert()
-> hlist_add_head_rcu(&exp->lnode, &master_help->expectations)
In case the connection is not confirmed yet, more extensions can be
added afterwards with *_ext_add() calls reallocating the extension
space and leaving the now invalid pointer in the expectations list
that is later accessed while removing the expectation.
Make sure that helpers are called at the end after all the other
extensions are already added.
Note that the helper rejection now leaves the mark and labels set,
but that's not different from how the NAT was handled before or how
the mark and the labels were handled on confirmation failure. And
there are no atomicity guarantees provided by the API anyway.2dCVE-2024-320087.8 HIG2.5%

mmc: via-sdmmc: cancel card-detect work on remove
Disabling the device interrupt and freeing the IRQ prevents new card-detect
work from being queued, but carddet_work already queued by the handler can
still run after via_sd_remove() returns. via_sdc_card_detect() recovers the
host through container_of() and dereferences its MMIO base; once remove()
returns the host can be freed, so that work would touch freed memory.
Cancel carddet_work after freeing the IRQ and before cancelling
finish_bh_work, which the card-detect handler can also queue. carddet_work
can re-enable the interrupt through via_reset_pcictrl(); mask it again
afterwards.
This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool and confirmed by
manual code review.8dCVE-2026-643547.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Validate BTF repeated field counts before expansion
btf_parse_struct_metas() walks user-supplied BTF during BPF_BTF_LOAD,
and btf_repeat_fields() expands repeatable fields from array elements
into the fixed BTF_FIELDS_MAX scratch array used by btf_parse_fields().
The remaining-capacity check performs the expanded field count calculation
in u32. A malformed BTF can wrap that calculation, causing the check to
pass even when the expanded field count exceeds the scratch array
capacity. The following memcpy() can then write past the end of the
array.
Use checked addition and multiplication before copying repeated fields
and reject impossible counts.7dCVE-2026-475527.8 HIG2.5%
——1NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer where an unprivileged user could bypass an authorization check and modify privileged configuration. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering.26dCVE-2026-745517.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hwmon: (nzxt-smart2) DMA-align output buffer
Sashiko reports:
When send_output_report() calls hid_hw_output_report(), the underlying USB
HID core calls usb_interrupt_msg() which maps this buffer directly for DMA.
When the DMA mapping flushes or invalidates the cacheline, it will corrupt
the adjacent variables (mutex, update_interval) that were modified
concurrently by the CPU. This causes memory corruption due to cacheline
sharing on non-coherent CPU architectures (such as ARM or MIPS). The DMA
API debugging tool (CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG) will trigger runtime warnings
for this violation.
Any operation that triggers send_output_report() (like setting a fan speed
or updating the interval) causes the USB DMA mapping. On systems with
non-coherent caches, this structural bug causes immediate and deterministic
memory corruption.
Align the output buffer to ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN to fix the problem.68dCVE-2021-35079—2.5%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Make sure to use pmu_ctx->pmu for groups
Oliver reported that x86_pmu_del() ended up doing an out-of-bound memory access
when group_sched_in() fails and needs to roll back.
This *should* be handled by the transaction callbacks, but he found that when
the group leader is a software event, the transaction handlers of the wrong PMU
are used. Despite the move_group case in perf_event_open() and group_sched_in()
using pmu_ctx->pmu.
Turns out, inherit uses event->pmu to clone the events, effectively undoing the
move_group case for all inherited contexts. Fix this by also making inherit use
pmu_ctx->pmu, ensuring all inherited counters end up in the same pmu context.
Similarly, __perf_event_read() should use equally use pmu_ctx->pmu for the
group case.7dCVE-2026-315027.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
team: fix header_ops type confusion with non-Ethernet ports
Similar to commit 950803f72547 ("bonding: fix type confusion in
bond_setup_by_slave()") team has the same class of header_ops type
confusion.
For non-Ethernet ports, team_setup_by_port() copies port_dev->header_ops
directly. When the team device later calls dev_hard_header() or
dev_parse_header(), these callbacks can run with the team net_device
instead of the real lower device, so netdev_priv(dev) is interpreted as
the wrong private type and can crash.
The syzbot report shows a crash in bond_header_create(), but the root
cause is in team: the topology is gre -> bond -> team, and team calls
the inherited header_ops with its own net_device instead of the lower
device, so bond_header_create() receives a team device and interprets
netdev_priv() as bonding private data, causing a type confusion crash.
Fix this by introducing team header_ops wrappers for create/parse,
selecting a team port under RCU, and calling the lower device callbacks
with port->dev, so each callback always sees the correct net_device
context.
Also pass the selected lower device to the lower parse callback, so
recursion is bounded in stacked non-Ethernet topologies and parse
callbacks always run with the correct device context.7dCVE-2026-31489—2.5%

cifs: Fix busy dentry used after unmounting
Since commit 340cea84f691c ("cifs: open files should not hold ref on

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: fix OOB write to userspace in sctp_getsockopt_peer_auth_chunks
sctp_getsockopt_peer_auth_chunks() checks that the caller's optval
buffer is large enough for the peer AUTH chunk list with
if (len < num_chunks)
return -EINVAL;
but then writes num_chunks bytes to p->gauth_chunks, which lives
at offset offsetof(struct sctp_authchunks, gauth_chunks) == 8
inside optval. The check is missing the sizeof(struct
sctp_authchunks) = 8-byte header. When the caller supplies
len == num_chunks (for any num_chunks > 0) the test passes but
copy_to_user() writes sizeof(struct sctp_authchunks) = 8 bytes
past the declared buffer.
The sibling function sctp_getsockopt_local_auth_chunks() at the
next line already has the correct check:
if (len < sizeof(struct sctp_authchunks) + num_chunks)
return -EINVAL;
Align the peer variant with its sibling.
Reproducer confirms on v7.0-13-generic: an unprivileged userspace
caller that opens a loopback SCTP association with AUTH enabled,
queries num_chunks with a short optval, then issues the real
getsockopt with len == num_chunks and sentinel bytes painted past
the buffer observes those sentinel bytes overwritten with the
peer's AUTH chunk type. The bytes written are under the peer's
control but land in the caller's own userspace; this is not a
kernel memory corruption, but it is a kernel-side contract
violation that can silently corrupt adjacent userspace data.104dCVE-2026-640367.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cgroup/rstat: validate cpu before css_rstat_cpu() access
css_rstat_updated() is exposed as a BPF kfunc and accepts a
caller-provided cpu argument. The function uses cpu for per-cpu rstat
lookups without checking whether it refers to a valid possible CPU.
A BPF iter/cgroup program with CAP_BPF and CAP_PERFMON can pass an
invalid cpu value. On an unfixed UBSCAN_BOUNDS test kernel, cpu ==
0x7fffffff triggers:
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in kernel/cgroup/rstat.c:31:9

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: Wait for RCU readers during policy netns exit
xfrm_policy_fini() frees the policy_bydst hash tables after flushing the
policy work items and deleting all policies, but it does not wait for
concurrent RCU readers to leave their read-side critical sections first.
The policy_bydst tables are published via rcu_assign_pointer() and are
looked up through rcu_dereference_check(), so netns teardown must also
wait for an RCU grace period before freeing the table memory.
Fix this by adding synchronize_rcu() before freeing the policy hash tables.7dCVE-2026-643657.8 HIG2.5%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: letsketch: fix UAF on inrange_timer at driver unbind
letsketch_driver does not provide a .remove callback, but
letsketch_probe() arms a per-device timer:
timer_setup(&data->inrange_timer, letsketch_inrange_timeout, 0);
The timer is re-armed from letsketch_raw_event() with a 100 ms
timeout on every pen-in-range report, and its callback dereferences
data->input_tablet to deliver a synthetic BTN_TOOL_PEN release.
letsketch_data is allocated with devm_kzalloc(), and its input_dev
fields are devm-allocated via letsketch_setup_input_tablet(). On
device unbind (USB unplug or rmmod), the HID core runs its default
teardown and devm cleanup frees both letsketch_data and the input
devices. Because no .remove callback exists, nothing drains the
timer first: if raw_event armed it within ~100 ms of the unbind,
the pending timer fires on freed memory. This is a UAF read of
data and of data->input_tablet, followed by input_report_key() /
input_sync() into the freed input_dev.
The same problem can occur on the probe error path: if
hid_hw_start() enabled I/O on an always-poll-quirk device and then
failed, raw_event may have armed the timer before devm releases
data.
Fix by adding a .remove callback that calls hid_hw_stop() first.
hid_hw_stop() synchronously kills the URBs that deliver raw_event(),
so once it returns no path can re-arm the timer. timer_shutdown_sync()
then drains any in-flight callback and permanently disables further
mod_timer() calls. Apply the same timer_shutdown_sync() in the probe
error path so the timer is guaranteed not to outlive data.52d
