——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Fix SPSR_EL2 restore in kvm_hyp_handle_mops() kvm_hyp_handle_mops() resets the single-step state machine as part of rewinding state for a MOPS exception by modifying vcpu_cpsr() and writing the result directly into hardware. In the case of nested virtualization, vcpu_cpsr() is a synthetic value such that the rest of KVM can deal with vEL2 cleanly. That means the value requires translation before being written into hardware, which is unfortunately missing from the MOPS handler. Fix it by directly modifying SPSR_EL2 and avoiding the synthetic state altogether, which will be resynchronized on the next 'full' exit back to KVM.71d

——1GNU LibreDWG through 0.14.8612 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the AcDs decoder acds_private() that allows attackers to read beyond a static table via an unchecked schema property type index. Attackers can supply a crafted R2004 or R2010+ DWG file with a large 'schdat' property type value to crash dwgread, dwg2dxf, or any application using LibreDWG.10d

——1GNU Emacs before 31.0.91 contains an integer overflow in the PBM/PPM/PGM image loader that allows an attacker to leak heap memory contents by supplying a crafted image with large dimensions and an elevated max color index. The image loader multiplies image dimensions and channel count using signed integer arithmetic; for sufficiently large values, the result wraps to a negative number, bypassing the bounds check and causing the pixel reader to access heap memory past the end of the allocated buffer. The over-read contents are interpreted as pixel color values and rendered on screen.14d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: tegra - fix rctx->cryptlen calculation in tegra_gcm_do_one_req() Perform rctx->cryptlen calculation in tegra_gcm_do_one_req() the same way it is done in tegra_ccm_crypt_init(). The current formulae may lead to a crash if a caller does not call tegra_gcm_setauthsize() and so ctx->authsize remains zero. Then a decrypt operation with incorrect rctx->cryptlen will lead to a write beyound rctx->dst_sg buffer. As a follow-up cleanup delete struct tegra_aead_ctx->authsize field since it appears to be completely unused. Also simplify tegra_ccm_setauthsize() and tegra_gcm_setauthsize() functions respectively.10d

——1A flaw was found in sssd. A local unprivileged user could send a specially crafted request with a zero-length body to the Network Security Services (NSS) responder. This could lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing the NSS responder to become unstable or terminate. This vulnerability affects the availability of the system responder.19d

——1wolfSSL versions 5.9.2 and earlier contain a flaw in the X.509 certificate validation logic where it fails to properly enforce NameConstraints extensions when there is an unconstrained CA tier between a name-constrained intermediate CA and the leaf certificate. wolfSSL incorrectly accepted certificates for hostnames they shouldn't be allowed to cover, due to a chain-walking state-machine bug that resets the validation state when encountering an intermediate without NameConstraints, thereby bypassing cryptographic delegation controls. This defect exists in the default build configuration that makes use of certificates where name constraint extensions are used. Thanks to Jack Lloyd, PathDiff, and Ben Smyth for reporting the issue.24d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: ultrasoc-smb: Fix OOB write in smb_sync_perf_buffer() When the SMB sink is used as a perf AUX sink, smb_update_buffer() calls smb_sync_perf_buffer() to copy hardware trace data into the perf AUX ring buffer pages. It derives pg_idx = head >> PAGE_SHIFT from @head, which is handle->head, and indexes dst_pages[pg_idx]. The pg_idx %= nr_pages normalization is only applied after the first loop iteration. This leaves the initial page index underived from the buffer size, which can result in an out-of-bounds write past dst_pages[] when head exceeds the AUX buffer size. Normalize head modulo the AUX buffer size before deriving the page index and offset, mirroring tmc_etr_sync_perf_buffer().52d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Reject exited events as group leaders perf_event_remove_on_exec() sets remove-on-exec events to the EXIT state and detaches their group relationships. The event's file descriptor can remain open, however, and perf_event_open() currently accepts that event as a group leader because its early validation rejects only REVOKED and DEAD events. A new sibling can consequently be linked to the detached leader. When the leader is closed, perf_group_detach() observes that its PERF_ATTACH_GROUP bit is already clear and skips the new sibling. The sibling then retains a group_leader pointer to the freed event. Reject group leaders in the EXIT state. Perform the check while holding the shared context mutex so that an exec in the target task cannot detach the leader between validation and group attachment. [peterz: make the earlier test fully consistent]10d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Fix Endpoint Memory Access Descriptor offset calculation Use the descriptor's `ep_mem_offset` to calculate the start of the endpoint memory access array and to comply with the FF-A spec instead of defaulting to `sizeof(struct ffa_mem_region)`. This requires moving `ffa_mem_region_additional_setup()` earlier in the setup flow. Also, add sanity checks to ensure the calculated descriptor offsets do not exceed `max_fragsize`.70d

——1In wolfSSL versions 5.7.2 through 5.9.2 there is a client-side implementation flaw in RFC 6961, multiple OCSP response stapling, which can lead to certificate forgery. When a wolfSSL client enables OCSP stapling with the HAVE_CERTIFICATE_STATUS_REQUEST_V2 feature and calls wolfSSL_UseOCSPStaplingV2(ssl, WOLFSSL_CSR2_OCSP_MULTI, options), the client accepts any certificate in the peer's chain as a certificate authority without verifying that the certificate is actually authorized to act as one. This means that an attacker who possesses any certificate that chains to a CA trusted by the client (along with its private key) can forge certificates for arbitrary identities that will be accepted as valid by the client. The end entity certificate of the server is stored in the persistent trust store, affecting subsequent connections that reuse the context even when OCSP multi usage is not employed. Found by internal wolfSSL testing.27d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: MIPS: Work around LLVM bug when gp is used as global register variable On MIPS, __current_thread_info is defined as global register variable locating in $gp, and is simply assigned with new address during kernel relocation. This however is broken with LLVM, which always restores $gp if it finds $gp is clobbered in any form, including when intentionally through a global register variable. This is against GCC's documentation[1], which requires a callee-saved register used as global register variable not to be restored if it's clobbered. As a result, $gp will continue to point to the unrelocated kernel after the epilog of relocate_kernel(), leading to an early crash in init_idle, [ 0.000000] CPU 0 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 0000000000000000, epc == ffffffff81afada8, ra == ffffffff81afad90 [ 0.000000] Oops[#1]: [ 0.000000] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper Tainted: G W 6.19.0-rc5-00262-gd3eeb99bbc99-dirty #188 VOLUNTARY [ 0.000000] Tainted: [W]=WARN [ 0.000000] Hardware name: loongson,loongson64v-4core-virtio [ 0.000000] $ 0 : 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 0000000000000001 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] $ 4 : ffffffff80b80ec0 ffffffff80b53d48 0000000000000000 00000000000f4240 [ 0.000000] $ 8 : 0000000000000100 ffffffff81d82f80 ffffffff81d82f80 0000000000000001 [ 0.000000] $12 : 0000000000000000 ffffffff81776f58 00000000000005da 0000000000000002 [ 0.000000] $16 : ffffffff80b80e40 0000000000000000 ffffffff80b81614 9800000005dfbe80 [ 0.000000] $20 : 00000000540000e0 ffffffff81980000 0000000000000000 ffffffff80f81c80 [ 0.000000] $24 : 0000000000000a26 ffffffff8114fb90 [ 0.000000] $28 : ffffffff80b50000 ffffffff80b53d40 0000000000000000 ffffffff81afad90 [ 0.000000] Hi : 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] Lo : 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] epc : ffffffff81afada8 init_idle+0x130/0x270 [ 0.000000] ra : ffffffff81afad90 init_idle+0x118/0x270 [ 0.000000] Status: 540000e2 KX SX UX KERNEL EXL [ 0.000000] Cause : 00000008 (ExcCode 02) [ 0.000000] BadVA : 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] PrId : 00006305 (ICT Loongson-3) [ 0.000000] Process swapper (pid: 0, threadinfo=(____ptrval____), task=(____ptrval____), tls=0000000000000000) [ 0.000000] Stack : 9800000005dfbf00 ffffffff8178e950 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000000 ffffffff81970000 000000000000003f ffffffff810a6528 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000001 9800000005dfbe80 9800000005dfbf00 ffffffff81980000 [ 0.000000] ffffffff810a6450 ffffffff81afb6c0 0000000000000000 ffffffff810a2258 [ 0.000000] ffffffff81d82ec8 ffffffff8198d010 ffffffff81b67e80 ffffffff8197dd98 [ 0.000000] ffffffff81d81c80 ffffffff81930000 0000000000000040 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000000 000000000000009e ffffffff9fc01000 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 [ 0.000000] 0000000000000000 ffffffff81ae86dc ffffffff81b3c741 0000000000000002 [ 0.000000] ...
