Descripción técnica

Fleet-maintained app install and uninstall scripts for macOS are generated from Homebrew cask metadata. In manifests generated before 2026-08-19, the script generator escaped this metadata at some interpolation sites but not all of them, so cask metadata containing shell metacharacters (for example $(...) command substitution) could be carried into scripts that execute as root on managed macOS hosts. An attacker who could land crafted metadata in an upstream Homebrew cask — without needing any Fleet credentials — could achieve arbitrary command execution as root on managed macOS hosts that install or uninstall the affected Fleet-maintained app; exploitation required the crafted metadata to pass both upstream Homebrew cask review and Fleet's review of the automated ingestion pull request. The fix (fleetdm/fleet#51324) landed in Fleet's ingestion pipeline on 2026-08-19 so that all manifests generated on or after that date escape cask metadata at every interpolation site; because manifests are generated centrally and distributed as pre-built content, remediation applied to all deployments with no customer action, and the code fix is included in Fleet v4.92.0.

——22A security vulnerability has been detected in Unitree Robotics Unitree Go2 up to 1.1.11.4. The impacted element is the function set_volume of the file gpt_thread.py of the component chat_go. Such manipulation of the argument Value leads to os command injection. The attack can be launched remotely. Upgrading to version 1.1.11.5 is sufficient to resolve this issue. You should upgrade the affected component. The vendor confirmed early: "Submission 990502 corresponds to our internal ticket #474 (Go2 chat_go set_volume OS command injection, CWE-78)."1d

——3virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. From 21.14.9 until 21.14.13, the bash bin/activate script can copy an attacker-controlled --prompt value into PS1 without escaping dollar signs or backticks when both promptvars and POSIX mode are disabled during activation. Re-enabling promptvars, running set -o posix, or starting an interactive child bash that inherits the exported PS1 can then expand command substitution in the stored VIRTUAL_ENV_PROMPT value and execute commands as the user who activates the environment. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.13.2d

——10Cacti is an open source performance and fault management framework. Prior to version 1.2.31, the prior blocklist ([;&| `$\\n\r]) omitted single-quote, double-quote, redirect operators, subshell parens and braces. An authenticated admin could save an input_string` containing single-quote, redirect operator, or subshell parens, and pass the check. This issue has been patched in version 1.2.31.2d

——20OS command injection in the root-privileged 'hardware_monitor' helper in DJI CrystalSky ZS600C firmware v0.3.9.7 through v0.6.6.9 on Android allows a local unprivileged process to execute arbitrary commands as root by writing a crafted line to the Android log (logcat), which the helper reads and passes to a shell eval.2d

——1Missing authorization in the native binder service 'android.dji.server' (transaction code 1018) in DJI CrystalSky ZS600C firmware v0.3.9.7 through v0.6.6.9 on Android allows a local application with no permissions to execute arbitrary OS commands as root, because the handler passes a caller-supplied string to system() in the root-privileged 'assistant' daemon without any caller-identity or permission check.2d

——1PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From version 4.5.87 to before version 4.6.61, PraisonAI recipe execution has a dangerous-tool policy that is supposed to block default-denied tools unless the caller explicitly passes allow_dangerous_tools=True. That policy only checks tools declared in TEMPLATE.yaml requires.tools. For steps-based recipes, the actual execution path loads workflow.yaml with YAMLWorkflowParser. That parser resolves agent-level tools: declarations and preserves top-level approve:. Workflow.start() then installs those YAML-approved tools into the approval context. As a result, an untrusted recipe can omit execute_command from TEMPLATE.yaml requires.tools, declare it in workflow.yaml agents.*.tools, and add top-level approve: [execute_command]. The caller did not set allow_dangerous_tools=True, but the recipe policy allows the recipe and the workflow approval path self-approves the critical shell tool. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.61.3d
