Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') vulnerability in Apache Sling Engine. Content-Type, charset, and redirect changes from an included component evade the  protectheaders / checkcontenttype  enforcement through setHeader(), repeated calls to setContentType(), the charset APIs, Servlet 6.1 redirect overloads, and stale config - enabling stored XSS despite enabled protections. This issue affects Apache Sling Engine before 3.0.4. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.0.4, which fixes the issue.

———HeyForm is an open-source form builder. Prior to 3.0.1, /api/upload accepts a file according to the client-controlled multipart file.mimetype while retaining an HTML filename, and static/upload serves the resulting file as text/html with contentSecurityPolicy: false. An ordinary user can therefore upload active HTML that executes on the HeyForm origin when a victim opens its returned URL. The same-origin script can access /graphql with the victim's session and read or modify data available to that account. HTML document serialization does not HTML-encode variable substitutions in the page chrome (header, nav, aside, footer and similar fields). Applications whose chrome includes request-derived variables, such as request headers, form data or path values, reflect those values unencoded, allowing cross-site scripting. The default chrome does not use request variables, so only applications that add them are affected. This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
