Descripción técnica

A vulnerability was determined in jxxghp MoviePilot up to 3.1.2. This vulnerability affects the function WorkflowExecutor.restore_context of the file app/chain/workflow.py of the component Workflow Fork Endpoint. Executing a manipulation can lead to deserialization. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. Upgrading to version 3.1.3 is able to resolve this issue. This patch is called 6034dcc880c13079aeb398dbe32c346ebcd3a6d2. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.

——0**UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED**  JavaNativeMessageDecoder in the MINA 3.0 codec module calls ObjectInputStream.readObject() on frame bytes with no class filter, so an application that puts it in front of an untrusted peer is open to gadget-chain RCE. As the 3.0.0 branch is inactive, we do not plan to release a version that fixes this issue. Users are recommended to use the latest Apache MINA 2.2.X branch.2d

——13The PDF Invoice for WooCommerce + Drag and Drop Template Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 7.1.1 via the 'customer_note' parameter parameter. This is due to insufficient sanitization of the customer_note checkout field, which is inlined verbatim into invoice HTML, entity-decoded back into a live tag by simplehtmldom, reassembled into raw bytes by mPDF, and passed to unserialize() in _getObjAttr without validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger the vulnerable code path on a default install by placing an anonymous WooCommerce checkout via the public Store API (POST /wc/store/v1/checkout) using a Direct Bank Transfer or cheque payment method, which automatically transitions the order to 'on-hold' status and fires the plugin's invoice-generation hook.2d

——13OpenSearch SQL supports querying OpenSearch data using SQL and Piped Processing Language. In the 2.x line from 2.8.0.0 until 2.19.6.0, and the 3.x line prior to 3.7.0.0, a remote authenticated user with basic read/search permissions can provide a crafted `cursor` parameter to the `plugins/sql` endpoint and trigger unsafe deserialization of untrusted data, resulting in arbitrary code execution on the server. This issue is fixed in repository releases 2.19.6.0 and 3.7.0.0.2d

——6IXP Manager is a full-stack web application for managing Internet Exchange Points. Prior to version 7.3.0, an authenticated, non-administrative user can elevate their privileges to administrator status. Restricting administrative functions reduces exposure but is not a complete fix. This issue is fixed in version 7.3.0.2d

——12In Trail of Bits fickling through 0.1.12, the _process_import() method in fickle.py adds an imported name to the likely_safe_imports set whenever the source module is present in sys.stdlib_module_names and the name is absent from the UNSAFE_IMPORTS denylist, without inspecting what the name resolves to or how it behaves. The OvertlyBadEvals analysis pass in analysis.py then unconditionally skips any call whose function name appears in likely_safe_imports, including calls that would otherwise be flagged as overtly dangerous. As a result, any callable reachable through a non-blocked standard library module inherits module-level trust regardless of its own behavior, and check_safety() returns LIKELY_SAFE with zero findings for pickle payloads that reach code execution or file write through such callables. Demonstrated primitives: dataclasses._create_fn, which passes an attacker-controlled function body to exec() and yields arbitrary code execution on Python 3.7 through 3.12 (the internal _create_fn function was removed in Python 3.13); mailcap.findmatch, which internally calls os.system() on a test command taken from an attacker-controlled caps dictionary, yielding arbitrary code execution on Python versions through 3.12 (the mailcap module was removed in Python 3.13); and readline.add_history() followed by readline.write_history_file(), which writes attacker-controlled content to an arbitrary filesystem path (POSIX platforms, where the readline module is available). fickling.load() chains check_safety() into pickle.loads() as an explicit security gate, so a LIKELY_SAFE verdict causes the payload to be deserialized and executed with the privileges of the victim process. The root cause is the inference of callable safety from module origin; it is independent of, and separately fixable from, the dotted __qualname__ resolution weakness tracked as CVE-2026-118938, which this advisory does not address. As of 2026-10-30 the three demonstrated modules were added to UNSAFE_IMPORTS on the vendor master branch (commit d011709) pending release; released versions through 0.1.12 remain affected, and the module-origin trust root cause persists, as demonstrated by the related CVE-2026-118938 remaining exploitable on that same build.2d
