Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, src/flow-hash.c can treat an IPv4 and IPv6 flow as equal without comparing the IP family when their raw address words, ports, protocol, VLAN, recursion level, live device, and hash bucket align. An IPv6 packet can therefore reuse IPv4 flow state or the reverse, causing incorrect flowbit state, detection bypass, or IP-only bypass. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17.

From 0.13.0 until 0.13.7, hostnameRegexHandler.OnUpdate in internal/webhook/tenant/validation/hostname_regex.go reverses the new and old Tenant parameters and validates the previous AllowedHostnames.Regex instead of the submitted value. A cluster administrator can therefore store a malformed AllowedHostnames.Regex after the webhook accepts the update based on stale valid state. Subsequent Ingress creation or update reaches validate_hostnames.go, which evaluates the malformed pattern, ignores the regular-expression error, and treats every hostname as unmatched, blocking Ingress operations for the affected tenant until an administrator repairs the Tenant configuration. ———Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.13.7, ForbiddenListSpec.ExactMatch in pkg/api/forbidden_list.go sorts denied metadata keys case-insensitively and then uses sort.SearchStrings, which assumes byte-order sorting. When an administrator's forbidden list mixes capitalized and lowercase keys or otherwise has different case-insensitive and byte ordering, the binary search can return false for a key that is present. An authenticated tenant owner can then pass the missed key through api.ValidateForbidden and bypass configured namespace, Service, or delegated node metadata restrictions, potentially influencing cluster policies, network exposure, or scheduling outside the tenant boundary. ——7@fastify/proxy-addr is a Fastify plugin that determines a request's client address behind trusted reverse proxies, and it backs Fastify request.ip and request.ips. In versions 3.0.0 through 5.1.0, a trust subnet written in IPv4-mapped IPv6 notation with an IPv4-sized prefix, such as ::ffff:10.0.0.0/8 instead of the correct ::ffff:10.0.0.0/104, is accepted without error but trusts every IPv4 address on the internet rather than the block it names. Because the socket peer then becomes trusted at hop 0, any unauthenticated client can supply an arbitrary X-Forwarded-For header and control the address the application reads, which defeats IP-based access control, rate limiting, geolocation, and audit logging. The plugin inherited this defect from the upstream proxy-addr module (CVE-2026-90711). The issue is fixed in @fastify/proxy-addr 5.1.1, and users should upgrade to 5.1.1 or later. As a workaround, ensure any IPv4-mapped IPv6 trust subnet uses a prefix length of at least 97, or express the range in plain IPv4 notation.2d
