Descripción técnica

A reachable assertion in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious remote peer to crash the process, resulting in denial of service. Root Cause: When a Socket with health checking enabled fails, Socket::WaitAndReset closes its file descriptor while the event dispatcher may still be delivering an input event (EPOLLIN/EVFILT_READ) that was fetched for the just-closed fd. If the health check then succeeds and revives the Socket, Socket::Address succeeds again while the fd is still -1 (the next write reconnects on demand). In that window, Socket::OnInputEvent hits CHECK(!(events & EPOLLIN)) (or the kqueue equivalent) because the Socket is addressable but has no fd. CHECK failures terminate the process when bRPC is built with glog or when the gflag -crash_on_fatal_log is enabled (CHECK always terminates in OFFICIAL_BUILD/NDEBUG builds as well). Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC clients with health check enabled (-health_check_interval). A malicious remote peer that the client connects to can deliberately abort connections and immediately accept the health check probes, racing connection teardown against health check revival to trigger the assertion and abort the process. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3510 Note: After applying the fix, stale input events on a Socket revived without an fd are silently dropped instead of triggering the assertion. No user-visible interface or wire protocol is changed.

CVE-2026-1191424.8 MED
—
———Wasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 contains a denial of service vulnerability where dropping the Future returned by TypedFunc::call_async can panic the host. When the guest task has not started, cleanup code searches only one location for work items and unwraps the resulting error, crashing embedders that cancel pending calls.5h
CVE-2026-1191394.8 MED
—
———Wasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 contains a leftover assertion in component::Func::call that rejects guest exports using the async ABI option. An attacker who supplies a component with an async-lifted export can crash the host process when an embedder invokes that export through Func::call.5h

—
———Wasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows pending calls to trigger an assertion failure after a trap poisons the Store. Attackers supplying misbehaving guest code can cause a trap and let earlier calls proceed, crashing embedders that continue using the inconsistent Store.5h
CVE-2026-1191354.8 MED
—
———Wasmtime 46.0.0 before 48.0.6 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 panics when the host reads a component model stream as a different Rust item type than it was created with, because the host-to-host read path asserts matching TypeIds instead of returning an error. Guest code can return a host-created StreamReader<U> that the embedder reads as StreamReader<T>, where both types map to the same component model type, crashing the embedding process.5h
CVE-2026-1191324.8 MED
—
———Wasmtime from 49.0.0 before 49.0.3 contains a denial-of-service vulnerability that allows a WebAssembly guest to trigger a host panic by transcoding overlapping strings in fused adapters. Attackers can make a same-instance component-to-component call transferring a string whose source and destination alias each other, crashing the host instead of raising a trap.5h

——15A security flaw has been discovered in ggml-org llama.cpp up to 0.7.0. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file src/llama-sampler.cpp of the component Mirostat Sampler. The manipulation results in reachable assertion. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through a pull request but has not reacted yet.2d
