Descripción técnica

An unlimited gzip decompression routine in chttpd in Apache CouchDB 3.5.2 and below on all platforms allows any remote client to cause a denial of service via memory exhaustion. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.3, which fixes this issue.

——0Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 4.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow's MSP RLE decoder can expand a small file into an unbounded in-memory buffer. The decoder writes run-length output to BytesIO without limiting expansion to the declared image size. An attacker can supply a crafted MSP image to an application that loads its pixels. This can exhaust memory and deny service even when the declared pixel count passes the decompression-bomb check. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.6h

——8Fleet before 4.83.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to exhaust server memory by sending gzip-compressed request bodies. Attackers can send small, highly compressed requests with Content-Encoding: gzip to unauthenticated endpoints that expand during decoding, crashing the entire Fleet instance.1d

——7In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], a gRPC endpoint does have a configurable per message maximum size in bytes, however the maximum size applies to the received bytes. When applied to a compressed message, this only applies to the compressed size and not the actual size of the uncompressed content. This can be used to force a gRPC endpoint to allocate more bytes than the value defined by the configuration, making the endpoint vulnerable to compression bomb attacks. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-gprc-server.6h

——10An Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data vulnerability in the gRPC library used by na-grpcd of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an authenticated network-based attacker to cause a denial of service via a compressed gRPC request.5d

——7OmniFaces is a utility library for Faces. In OmniFaces versions before 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2, CombinedResourceHandler accepts a structurally valid deflated and base64 encoded combined resource ID without verifying that the server issued it. A forged ID can cause unbounded decoded output, add unique reconstructed IDs to a process-lifetime cache, or combine resources other than stylesheets and scripts. Because jakarta.faces.RESOURCE_EXCLUDES is not applied by this custom resolution path, a forged ID can disclose Facelets source from the webapp resource tree or META-INF/resources. In a deployment configured with the wildcard CDN mapping, a forged ID that selects omnifaces.graphic can also cause a blind, deployment-dependent server-side fetch whose destination derives partly from the request Host header. The flaw does not provide arbitrary file read or establish arbitrary-scheme or arbitrary-destination SSRF. The shared authenticity failure permits memory exhaustion and limited resource disclosure. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2.1d

——9A Git server that Grafana's Git Sync (provisioning) is configured to use can exhaust Grafana's memory by returning oversized or highly compressed responses (uncontrolled resource consumption). Exploitation requires an administrator to have configured Git Sync with that server.4d
