Descripción técnica

Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.1, 11.8.x <= 11.8.5, 11.7.x <= 11.7.10, 11.10.x <= 11.10.1 Mattermost fail to apply allocation limits to the byte-string decode paths in its WebSocket msgpack decoder, which allows an authenticated remote attacker to cause excessive server memory allocation via a crafted binary WebSocket frame declaring a Bin32 payload length of up to 4,294,967,295 bytes.. CVE-2026-1159097.5 ALT
—
———zip is a zip library for Rust that supports reading and writing simple ZIP files. From 1.3.0 until 9.0.0, ZipArchive::extract in src/read/mod.rs calls Vec::with_capacity for a symbolic link target using the attacker-controlled ZIP64 uncompressed_size before reading entry data. A small archive can request an impossible capacity, causing the infallible allocation path to abort the process before the entry is validated. The failure cannot be contained with catch_unwind or a worker thread, allowing repeated denial of service in archive-processing applications. This issue is fixed in version 9.0.0.4h

———zip is a zip library for Rust that supports reading and writing simple ZIP files. From 5.1.0 until 9.0.0, applications built with the legacy-zip feature can reserve output capacity from an attacker-controlled ZIP64 uncompressed size before validating the compressed stream. The ShrinkDecoder path in src/legacy/shrink.rs can panic with a capacity overflow during ZipArchive::extract, and the Reduce and Implode decoders contain the same unbounded preallocation pattern. An unhandled panic can terminate an archive-processing service. This issue is fixed in version 9.0.0.4h

——0A vulnerability was identified in smg-project smg 1.7.0/1.8.0/1.9.0/1.10.0/1.10.1. Affected is the function jpeg_turbo::decode_jpeg_rgb of the file crates/multimodal/src/jpeg_turbo.rs of the component llm-multimodal. The manipulation leads to uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 1.11.0 is able to address this issue. The identifier of the patch is 8f51b57e219a914089e345b704c3c8de37a3bb8e. It is advisable to upgrade the affected component.8h

——0HTTP::Server::PSGI versions before 1.0056 for Perl allow a single request to crash the server by declaring a large Content-Length. The request body is read with sysread() calls sized by the remaining Content-Length. Perl grows the read buffer to the requested length before any data arrives, so the server tries to allocate as much memory as the client declares. A remote attacker can send one request with a large Content-Length and a few body bytes, and perl exits with an out-of-memory error before the application is called. HTTP::Server::PSGI runs as a single process, so the server stays down until restarted.19h

——6Web::Simple versions before 0.035 for Perl allocate a buffer sized by the Content-Length header for urlencoded body parameters. Web::Dispatch::ParamParser::get_unpacked_body_from reads an application/x-www-form-urlencoded body using a single read call, with no cap and the return value ignored. Perl's read grows the buffer to the requested length before reading, so the declared Content-Length determines the allocation. An attacker can trigger this through any route whose dispatch specification has a % body-parameter match, such as sub (POST + %name=), sending a Content-Length far larger than the body actually sent. No authentication is involved.2d

——9Memory allocation with excessive size value in the MQTT 3.1.1 compatibility adapter in AWS aws-c-mqtt before 0.16.2 might allow a remote actor to cause a denial of service of the client application. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to aws-c-mqtt 0.16.2 or later, or to an AWS Common Runtime or AWS IoT Device SDK release that bundles it.3d
