CVE-2026-706287.8 ALT

1FFmpeg versions from 0.5 up to, but not including, 9.0 contain a signed integer overflow vulnerability in the DVB subtitle parser in libavcodec/dvbsub_parser.c that allows attackers to trigger a heap buffer overflow by supplying a crafted WTV file. The overflow causes the bounds-check guard expression to wrap to INT_MIN, bypassing the PARSE_BUF_SIZE comparison and invoking memcpy() with attacker-controlled data into a heap buffer, resulting in an out-of-bounds heap write and potential memory corruption or code execution.3d

1InvenTree is an Open Source Inventory Management System. Prior to 1.2.7 and 1.3.0, a non-staff authenticated user can elevate their account to a staff level via a POST request against their user account endpoint. The write permissions on the API endpoint are improperly configured, allowing any user to change their staff status. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.2.7 and 1.3.0.41d

1proot-distro is a utility for managing proot containers. Prior to version 5.1.5, proot-distro install extracted plain tarball root filesystems through _extract_plain_tar() in proot_distro/commands/install.py and Docker layers through _apply_layer() in proot_distro/helpers/docker.py without validating archive-controlled symlink targets in member.linkname, allowing a malicious archive to plant an absolute host-path symlink and write files through it onto the host filesystem. This issue is fixed in version 5.1.5.35d

1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "arm64: zynqmp: Add an OP-TEE node to the device tree" This reverts commit 06d22ed6b6635b17551f386b50bb5aaff9b75fbe. OP-TEE logic in U-Boot automatically injects a reserved-memory node along with optee firmware node to kernel device tree. The injection logic is dependent on that there is no manually defined optee node. Having the node in zynqmp.dtsi effectively breaks OP-TEE's insertion of the reserved-memory node, causing memory access violations during runtime.36d

1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix unlikely race in gdlm_put_lock In gdlm_put_lock(), there is a small window of time in which the DFL_UNMOUNT flag has been set but the lockspace hasn't been released, yet. In that window, dlm may still call gdlm_ast() and gdlm_bast(). To prevent it from dereferencing freed glock objects, only free the glock if the lockspace has actually been released.36d

1In versions below 2.4.5 of the Cisco Secure Malware Analytics app for Splunk SOAR, a user who holds a role with permission to run actions could expose a sensitive sample password by invoking the detonate file action, because the action's sample_password parameter is not masked and is shown in cleartext in the user interface. The information disclosure is possible because the app does not mark the affected action parameter as a password. For more information see Run an action in Splunk SOAR (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/use-splunk-soar-on-premises/8.6.0/use-the-command-line-interface-to-perform-tasks-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/run-an-action-in-splunk-soar-on-premises).15d

1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: tuner: xc5000: Fix use-after-free in xc5000_release The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in xc5000_release(), which does not guarantee that the delayed work item timer_sleep has fully completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios where xc5000_release() may free the xc5000_priv while timer_sleep is still active and attempts to dereference the xc5000_priv. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (release thread) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) xc5000_release() | xc5000_do_timer_sleep() cancel_delayed_work() | hybrid_tuner_release_state(priv) | kfree(priv) | | priv = container_of() // UAF Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure that the timer_sleep is properly canceled before the xc5000_priv memory is deallocated. A deadlock concern was considered: xc5000_release() is called in a process context and is not holding any locks that the timer_sleep work item might also need. Therefore, the use of the _sync() variant is safe here. This bug was initially identified through static analysis. [hverkuil: fix typo in Subject: tunner -> tuner]36d

1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: bpf_local_storage: Always use bpf_mem_alloc in PREEMPT_RT In PREEMPT_RT, kmalloc(GFP_ATOMIC) is still not safe in non preemptible context. bpf_mem_alloc must be used in PREEMPT_RT. This patch is to enforce bpf_mem_alloc in the bpf_local_storage when CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT is enabled. [ 35.118559] BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/locking/spinlock_rt.c:48 [ 35.118566] in_atomic(): 1, irqs_disabled(): 0, non_block: 0, pid: 1832, name: test_progs [ 35.118569] preempt_count: 1, expected: 0 [ 35.118571] RCU nest depth: 1, expected: 1 [ 35.118577] INFO: lockdep is turned off. ... The verifier has ensured GFP_KERNEL is passed only in sleepable context. It has been an old issue since the first introduction of the bpf_local_storage ~5 years ago, so this patch targets the bpf-next. bpf_mem_alloc is needed to solve it, so the Fixes tag is set to the commit when bpf_mem_alloc was first used in the bpf_local_storage.31d

1FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to 1.8.220, the email processing pipeline in FreeScout's FetchEmails command has two code paths for identifying agent (user) replies based on In-Reply-To / References headers. The notification reply path (notify-{thread_id}-{user_id}-...) extracts thread_id and user_id directly from the Message-ID without HMAC verification. An external attacker who can spoof the From address of a helpdesk agent can inject messages that FreeScout processes as legitimate agent replies — which are then automatically forwarded to customers via the legitimate SMTP server. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.220.44d

1The Advanced Custom Fields: Extended WordPress plugin before 0.9.2.7 does not verify that the requester is authorized to edit the targeted user account in the update-user action of its front-end Forms module; it only checks a capability when the submitted role is administrator or super_admin. On a site that exposes a publicly reachable front-end form whose user-update action targets an existing administrator (a fixed target, or one mapped to a visitor-submitted field) and maps the password to a visitor-submitted field, an unauthenticated visitor can overwrite that administrator's password and take over the account. The default target is the submitting user, so exploitation depends on the form being configured to target another account.2d
