——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mlxsw: spectrum_mr: Fix use-after-free when updating multicast route stats
Cited commit added a dedicated mutex (instead of RTNL) to protect the
multicast route list, so that it will not change while the driver
periodically traverses it in order to update the kernel about multicast
route stats that were queried from the device.
One instance of list entry deletion (during route replace) was missed
and it can result in a use-after-free [1].
Fix by acquiring the mutex before deleting the entry from the list and
releasing it afterwards.

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nfnetlink_log: fix uninitialized padding leak in NFULA_PAYLOAD
__build_packet_message() manually constructs the NFULA_PAYLOAD netlink
attribute using skb_put() and skb_copy_bits(), bypassing the standard
nla_reserve()/nla_put() helpers. While nla_total_size(data_len) bytes
are allocated (including NLA alignment padding), only data_len bytes
of actual packet data are copied. The trailing nla_padlen(data_len)
bytes (1-3 when data_len is not 4-byte aligned) are never initialized,
leaking stale heap contents to userspace via the NFLOG netlink socket.
Replace the manual attribute construction with nla_reserve(), which
handles the tailroom check, header setup, and padding zeroing via
__nla_reserve(). The subsequent skb_copy_bits() fills in the payload

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nexthop: fix IPv6 route referencing IPv4 nexthop
syzbot reported a panic [1] [2].
When an IPv6 nexthop is replaced with an IPv4 nexthop, the has_v4 flag
of all groups containing this nexthop is not updated. This is because
nh_group_v4_update is only called when replacing AF_INET to AF_INET6,
but the reverse direction (AF_INET6 to AF_INET) is missed.
This allows a stale has_v4=false to bypass fib6_check_nexthop, causing
IPv6 routes to be attached to groups that effectively contain only AF_INET
members. Subsequent route lookups then call nexthop_fib6_nh() which
returns NULL for the AF_INET member, leading to a NULL pointer
dereference.
Fix by calling nh_group_v4_update whenever the family changes, not just
AF_INET to AF_INET6.

——1In Eclipse Theia versions up to and including 1.69.0, opening a folder starts source control integration without requiring the user to trust the folder first. This affects applications built on Theia that include the git integration, such as the Theia IDE. Both Theia's own `@theia/git` extension and the builtin VS Code `git` extension run git commands such as `git status` as soon as a repository is detected. Since git honors repository-local configuration, a folder containing an attacker-controlled `.git/config` with `core.fsmonitor` (or a comparable hook-like setting) causes the configured command to be executed. The configuration can be delivered by burying a bare repository inside a regular repository (OVE-20210718-0001), so cloning an attacker-supplied repository and opening it in a Theia-based application is sufficient to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the user, without any confirmation prompt.
As of 1.70.0, plugins that declare `capabilities.untrustedWorkspaces.supported: false`, which includes the builtin git extension, are no longer loaded or activated in an untrusted workspace, and the deprecated `@theia/git` extension has been removed, so no git command is executed against an untrusted folder.14dCVE-2026-40714.3 MED3.0%
——1The BirdSeed plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.0. This is due to missing nonce validation in the birdseed_plugin_settings_page() function. The function processes the 'birdseed_token' GET parameter and saves it to the database via update_option() without verifying a nonce. ——1libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. In 1.23.0 and earlier, a crafted image sequence with a 2x2 primary plane and a 256x256 auxiliary alpha plane can cause attacker-controlled heap corruption during a normal decode and re-encode workflow. Track_Visual::decode_next_image_sample() calls transfer_channel_from_image_as() without checking that the auxiliary alpha dimensions match the main frame. The resulting inconsistent image reaches heif_track_decode_next_image() and then heif_context_encode_image(). In unc_encoder::encode(), unc_encoder_component_interleave::encode_tile() sizes its buffer with compute_tile_data_size_bytes() using the primary dimensions but copies each component using its actual plane dimensions. The oversized alpha plane is therefore copied beyond the allocation, causing an out-of-bounds write; the inverse size mismatch can also produce an out-of-bounds read. gpib: fix double decrement of descriptor_busy in command_ioctl()
commit d1857f8296dc ("gpib: fix use-after-free in IO ioctl handlers")
introduced a descriptor_busy reference counter to pin struct
gpib_descriptor across IO ioctl operations. In command_ioctl(), the
error path inside the loop decrements descriptor_busy and breaks, but
execution then falls through to the unconditional decrement after the
loop, underflowing the counter to -1.
This re-enables the use-after-free that the original fix was meant to
prevent: a concurrent close_dev_ioctl() sees descriptor_busy == 0 on
an actively-used descriptor and frees it.
Remove the early decrement from the error path. The post-loop
decrement already handles all exit paths, matching the correct pattern
used in read_ioctl() and write_ioctl().16dCVE-2026-642797.8 ALT2.9%

Adapters can be looked up by their id using i2c_get_adapter() which
takes a reference to the embedded struct device.
Remove the adapter from the IDR before tearing it down during

——1JOSE is a Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) library. Prior to version 0.3.5+1, a vulnerability in jose could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to forge valid JWS/JWT tokens by using a key embedded in the JOSE header (jwk). The vulnerability exists because key selection could treat header-provided jwk as a verification candidate even when that key was not present in the trusted key store. Since JOSE headers are untrusted input, an attacker could exploit this by creating a token payload, embedding an attacker-controlled public key in the header, and signing with the matching private key. Applications using affected versions for token verification are impacted. This issue has been patched in version 0.3.5+1.
