apparmor: fix uninitialised pointer passed to audit_log_untrustedstring()
Commit 4a134723f9f1 ("apparmor: move check for aa_null file to cover all cases")
intrdouced a small bug, where path_name() may pass a potentially uninitialized
*name to aa_audit_file() if the path->dentry had been replaced with
aa_null.dentry earlier on. This can lead to page fault like one observed on

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: hold dev ref until after transport_finish NF_HOOK
After async crypto completes, xfrm_input_resume() calls dev_put()
immediately on re-entry before the skb reaches transport_finish.
The skb->dev pointer is then used inside NF_HOOK and its okfn,
which can race with device teardown.
Remove the dev_put from the async resumption entry and instead
drop the reference after the NF_HOOK call in transport_finish,
using a saved device pointer since NF_HOOK may consume the skb.
This covers NF_DROP, NF_QUEUE and NF_STOLEN paths that skip
the okfn.
For non-transport exits (decaps, gro, drop) and secondary
async return points, release the reference inline when
async is set.12dCVE-2023-45716—2.4%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: us144mkii: capture_urb_complete: redundant usb_anchor_urb corrupts anchor list on each resubmission
In capture_urb_complete(), usb_anchor_urb() is called on every
completion callback, but the URB is already anchored from the
initial submission in tascam_trigger_start(). Each redundant call
corrupts the anchor's doubly-linked list and inflates the URB
refcount. When usb_kill_anchored_urbs() traverses the list during
stream stop / suspend / disconnect, the corrupted list leads to
use-after-free.
Remove the redundant usb_anchor_urb() from the resubmit path.15dCVE-2025-3473—2.4%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/xe/eustall: Fix drm_dev_put called before stream disable in close
In xe_eu_stall_stream_close(), drm_dev_put() is called before the
stream is disabled and its resources are freed. If this drops the
last reference, the device structures could be freed while the
subsequent cleanup code still accesses them, leading to a
use-after-free.
Fix this by moving drm_dev_put() after all device accesses are
complete. This matches the ordering in xe_oa_release().

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: enetc: fix NTMP DMA use-after-free issue
The AI-generated review reported a potential DMA use-after-free issue
[1]. If netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() times out and returns an error, the pending
command is not explicitly aborted, while ntmp_free_data_mem()
unconditionally frees the DMA buffer. If the buffer has already been
reallocated elsewhere, this may lead to silent memory corruption. Because
the hardware eventually processes the pending command and perform a DMA
write of the response to the physical address of the freed buffer.
To resolve this issue, this patch does the following modifications:
1. Convert cbdr->ring_lock from a spinlock to a mutex
The lock was originally a spinlock in case NTMP operations might be
invoked from atomic context. After downstream support for all NTMP
tables, no such usage has materialized. A mutex lock is now required
because the driver now needs to reclaim used BDs and release associated
DMA memory within the lock's context, while dma_free_coherent() might
sleep.
2. Introduce software command BD (struct netc_swcbd)
The hardware write-back overwrites the addr and len fields of the BD,
so the driver cannot rely on the hardware BD to free the associated DMA
memory. The driver now maintains a software shadow BD storing the DMA
buffer pointer, DMA address, and size. And netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() only
reclaims older BDs when the number of used BDs reaches
NETC_CBDR_CLEAN_WORK (16). The software BD enables correct DMA memory
release. With this, struct ntmp_dma_buf and ntmp_free_data_mem() are no
longer needed and are removed.
3. Require callers to hold ring_lock across netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd()
netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() releases the ring_lock before the caller finishes
consuming the response. At this point, if a concurrent thread submits
a new command, it may trigger ntmp_clean_cbdr() and free the DMA buffer
while it is still in use. Move ring_lock ownership to the caller to
ensure the response buffer cannot be reclaimed prematurely. So the
helpers ntmp_select_and_lock_cbdr() and ntmp_unlock_cbdr() are added.
These changes eliminate the DMA use-after-free condition and ensure safe
and consistent BD reclamation and DMA buffer lifecycle management.55dCVE-2025-386877.3 ALT2.4%
——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
comedi: fix race between polling and detaching
syzbot reports a use-after-free in comedi in the below link, which is
due to comedi gladly removing the allocated async area even though poll
requests are still active on the wait_queue_head inside of it. This can
cause a use-after-free when the poll entries are later triggered or
removed, as the memory for the wait_queue_head has been freed. We need
to check there are no tasks queued on any of the subdevices' wait queues
before allowing the device to be detached by the `COMEDI_DEVCONFIG`
ioctl.
Tasks will read-lock `dev->attach_lock` before adding themselves to the
subdevice wait queue, so fix the problem in the `COMEDI_DEVCONFIG` ioctl
handler by write-locking `dev->attach_lock` before checking that all of
the subdevices are safe to be deleted. This includes testing for any
sleepers on the subdevices' wait queues. It remains locked until the
device has been detached. This requires the `comedi_device_detach()`
function to be refactored slightly, moving the bulk of it into new
function `comedi_device_detach_locked()`.
Note that the refactor of `comedi_device_detach()` results in
`comedi_device_cancel_all()` now being called while `dev->attach_lock`
is write-locked, which wasn't the case previously, but that does not
matter.
Thanks to Jens Axboe for diagnosing the problem and co-developing this
patch.33dCVE-2026-57471—2.4%

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-verity-fec: fix reading parity bytes split across blocks (take 3)
fec_decode_bufs() assumes that the parity bytes of the first RS codeword
it decodes are never split across parity blocks.
This assumption is false. Consider v->fec->block_size == 4096 &&
v->fec->roots == 17 && fio->nbufs == 1, for example. In that case, each
call to fec_decode_bufs() consumes v->fec->roots * (fio->nbufs <<
DM_VERITY_FEC_BUF_RS_BITS) = 272 parity bytes.
Considering that the parity data for each message block starts on a
block boundary, the byte alignment in the parity data will iterate
through 272*i mod 4096 until the 3 parity blocks have been consumed. On
the 16th call (i=15), the alignment will be 4080 bytes into the first
block. Only 16 bytes remain in that block, but 17 parity bytes will be
needed. The code reads out-of-bounds from the parity block buffer.
Fortunately this doesn't normally happen, since it can occur only for
certain non-default values of fec_roots *and* when the maximum number of
buffers couldn't be allocated due to low memory. For example with
block_size=4096 only the following cases are affected:
fec_roots=17: nbufs in [1, 3, 5, 15]
fec_roots=19: nbufs in [1, 229]
fec_roots=21: nbufs in [1, 3, 5, 13, 15, 39, 65, 195]
fec_roots=23: nbufs in [1, 89]
Regardless, fix it by refactoring how the parity blocks are read.29dCVE-2025-71239—2.4%
