CVE-2026-912026.1 MED

——1A flaw was found in cockpit-files. A low-privileged local user can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a directory containing a symbolic link (symlink) and then using the privileged "Paste as owner" function. This allows for arbitrary file ownership changes outside the intended pasted directory, leading to a compromise of data integrity. In some cases, this could also lead to reduced confidentiality if the new ownership grants unauthorized read access. Exploitation requires user interaction to select a non-original owner during the paste operation.17d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: reject FITRIM ranges shorter than a cluster ocfs2_trim_mainbm() trims the global bitmap in cluster units, but its too-short range validation only checks sb->s_blocksize. On filesystems with a cluster size larger than the block size, a FITRIM range that is at least one block but shorter than one cluster is accepted and shifted down to len == 0. The later start + len - 1 and len -= ... arithmetic then underflows and can drive trimming past the requested range. Reject ranges shorter than s_clustersize instead. That preserves the existing -EINVAL behavior for requests that cannot discard even one allocation unit and keeps zero-cluster trims out of the group walk.20d

——1A race condition exists in the Falcon sensor for Windows that could allow an attacker, with the prior ability to execute code on a host, to delete arbitrary files. CrowdStrike released a security fix for this issue in Falcon sensor for Windows versions 7.24 and above and all Long Term Visibility (LTV) sensors. There is no indication of exploitation of these issues in the wild. Our threat hunting and intelligence team are actively monitoring for exploitation and we maintain visibility into any such attempts. The Falcon sensor for Mac, the Falcon sensor for Linux and the Falcon sensor for Legacy Systems are not impacted by this. CrowdStrike was made aware of this issue through our HackerOne bug bounty program. It was discovered by Cong Cheng and responsibly disclosed.28d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib: test_hmm: evict device pages on file close to avoid use-after-free Patch series "Minor hmm_test fixes and cleanups". Two bugfixes a cleanup for the HMM kernel selftests. These were mostly reported by Zenghui Yu with special thanks to Lorenzo for analysing and pointing out the problems. This patch (of 3): When dmirror_fops_release() is called it frees the dmirror struct but doesn't migrate device private pages back to system memory first. This leaves those pages with a dangling zone_device_data pointer to the freed dmirror. If a subsequent fault occurs on those pages (eg. during coredump) the dmirror_devmem_fault() callback dereferences the stale pointer causing a kernel panic. This was reported [1] when running mm/ksft_hmm.sh on arm64, where a test failure triggered SIGABRT and the resulting coredump walked the VMAs faulting in the stale device private pages. Fix this by calling dmirror_device_evict_chunk() for each devmem chunk in dmirror_fops_release() to migrate all device private pages back to system memory before freeing the dmirror struct. The function is moved earlier in the file to avoid a forward declaration.17d

——1It has been identified that a vulnerability (CWE-427) exists in the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) management application, whereby improper permissions on the installation directory allow a malicious actor to place a DLL that is then executed with administrator privileges. If a malicious DLL is placed in the installation directory of this product, there is a possibility that the malicious DLL may be executed by exploiting the product’s behavior of loading missing DLLs from the same directory as the executable during service startup.10d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: alb: fix UAF in rlb_arp_recv during bond up/down The ALB RX path may access rx_hashtbl concurrently with bond teardown. During rapid bond up/down cycles, rlb_deinitialize() frees rx_hashtbl while RX handlers are still running, leading to a null pointer dereference detected by KASAN. However, the root cause is that rlb_arp_recv() can still be accessed after setting recv_probe to NULL, which is actually a use-after-free (UAF) issue. That is the reason for using the referenced commit in the Fixes tag. ——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hsr: defer node table free until after RCU readers HSR node-list and node-status generic-netlink operations run under rcu_read_lock(). They walk hsr->node_db through hsr_get_next_node() and hsr_get_node_data(), but RTM_DELLINK teardown removes the same node table with plain list_del() and frees each node immediately. That lets a generic-netlink reader hold a struct hsr_node pointer across hsr_dellink(). In a KASAN build, widening the reader window after hsr_get_next_node() obtains the node reproduces a slab-use-after-free when the reader copies node->macaddress_A; the freeing stack is hsr_del_nodes() from hsr_dellink(). Use list_del_rcu() and defer the free through the existing hsr_free_node_rcu() callback. This matches the lifetime rule used by the HSR prune paths, which already delete nodes with list_del_rcu() and call_rcu().17d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: remove debugfs files before client teardown ceph_destroy_client() tears down the monitor client before removing the per-client debugfs files. A concurrent read of the monmap debugfs file can enter monmap_show() after ceph_monc_stop() has freed monc->monmap, triggering a use-after-free. Remove the debugfs files before stopping the OSD and monitor clients. debugfs_remove() drains active handlers and prevents new accesses, so the debugfs callbacks can no longer race the rest of client teardown.17d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: set new_stream to NULL after release In dm_update_crtc_state(), the skip_modeset path releases new_stream via dc_stream_release() but does not set the pointer to NULL. If a later error (e.g., color management failure) triggers the fail label, the error path calls dc_stream_release() again on the same dangling pointer, causing a double release and potential use-after-free. Fix this by setting new_stream to NULL after the initial release. (cherry picked from commit 99f3af19073b3ddbfd96e789124cce12c4277b28)17d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix use-after-free of the discoverer in tipc_disc_rcv() bearer_disable() frees b->disc with tipc_disc_delete()'s plain kfree(), but tipc_disc_rcv() still dereferences b->disc in RX softirq under rcu_read_lock() (tipc_udp_recv -> tipc_rcv -> tipc_disc_rcv). L2 bearers are safe thanks to the synchronize_net() in tipc_disable_l2_media(), but the UDP bearer defers that call to the cleanup_bearer() workqueue, so the discoverer is freed with no grace period: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in tipc_disc_rcv (net/tipc/discover.c:149) Read of size 8 at addr ffff88802348b728 by task poc_tipc/184 <IRQ> tipc_disc_rcv (net/tipc/discover.c:149) tipc_rcv (net/tipc/node.c:2126) tipc_udp_recv (net/tipc/udp_media.c:391) udp_rcv (net/ipv4/udp.c:2643) ip_local_deliver_finish (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:241) </IRQ> Freed by task 181: kfree (mm/slub.c:6565) bearer_disable (net/tipc/bearer.c:418) tipc_nl_bearer_disable (net/tipc/bearer.c:1001) The bearer is freed with kfree_rcu(); free the discoverer the same way. Add an rcu_head to struct tipc_discoverer and free it and its skb from an RCU callback. Because the RCU callback (tipc_disc_free_rcu) lives in module text, a call_rcu() that is still pending when the tipc module is unloaded would invoke a freed function. Add an rcu_barrier() to tipc_exit() after the bearer subsystem has been torn down, so all pending discoverer callbacks have run before the module text goes away. Reachable from an unprivileged user namespace: the TIPCv2 genl family is netnsok and its bearer commands have no GENL_ADMIN_PERM. Needs CONFIG_TIPC and CONFIG_TIPC_MEDIA_UDP.2d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: don't truncate the port group walk on teardown __br_multicast_disable_port_ctx() and br_multicast_del_port() walk port->mglist with hlist_for_each_entry_safe(). However, br_multicast_find_del_pg() can also delete other entries from the same list through br_multicast_fwd_src_remove() or __fwd_del_star_excl(). If such an entry is the iterator's saved next node, hlist_del_init() clears its ->next and terminates the walk early. The reproducer triggers this in both teardown walks, leaving port groups in the bridge mdb with a dangling ->key.port after del_nbp() frees the port: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 br_mdb_dump+0x594/0xe40 rtnl_mdb_dump+0x1cf/0x5d0 Use hlist_del_init_rcu() to unlink the group while preserving ->next. br_multicast_del_pg() and the teardown walks run under br->multicast_lock. The GC worker must acquire the same lock before detaching the group for destruction, so the node remains alive while the walk uses the preserved pointer. Preserving ->next means a walk can now reach a group that an earlier iteration already deleted as a side effect. That group is off mp->ports, so br_multicast_find_del_pg() would fall through its port scan and hit the trailing WARN_ON(1). Skip such groups at the top of that helper: a port group is put on port->mglist when it is created and only unlinked when it is deleted, so hlist_unhashed() identifies exactly this case.5d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: pop cached request if it is usable When submitting a bio to blk-mq, if the task should sleep after peeking a cached request, but before it pops it, the plug flushes and calls blk_mq_free_plug_rqs, freeing the cached_rqs. This creates a use-after-free bug. Fix this by popping the cached request before any possible blocking calls if it is suitable for use. Popping this request first holds a queue reference, so avoid any serialization races with queue freezes and can safely proceed with dispatching that request to the driver. This potentially increases a timing window from when a driver wants to freeze its queue to when requests stop being dispatched. That scenario is off the fast path though, and drivers need to appropriately handle requests during a freeze request anyway. The downside is the popped element needs to be individually freed when we performed a bio plug merge. The cached request would have had to be freed later anyway, but this patch does it inline with building the plug list instead of after flushing it.6d

——1Improper Access Control vulnerability in Mesalvo MEONA (MEONA Client and MEONA Server) allows an authenticated MEONA user to access administrative functions of the MEONA Client (admin panel). The MEONA Server does not independently verify the role asserted by the MEONA Client. A user who holds a valid MEONA user account and is able to execute a modified copy of the MEONA Client on a device within the operating hospital's network can assert an administrator role and access administrative functions with regular user credentials. Exploitation requires: (1) a valid MEONA user account issued by the operating hospital; (2) network access to the MEONA Server, which is operated exclusively within closed hospital networks without exposure to the public Internet (where a hospital permits remote access to that network at all, it is only through the hospital's own remote-access infrastructure (e.g. VPN) under the hospital's control); (3) the ability to modify MEONA Client binaries and to execute the modified copy on a device in that network. On managed devices with application control, as recommended in Mesalvo's hardening guidance (MSA-2026-001), this requires local administrator privileges on the device. Mesalvo is not aware of any exploitation outside the reported security test. This issue affects MEONA Client and MEONA Server in versions 2024.10, 2025.04 and 2026.03. Mitigations are available with MEONA 2025.04.24 and 2026.03.02 (planned Q4 2026); see Mesalvo Security Advisory MSA-2026-001.41d

——1Flatpak passes through arbitrary vendor-extension keys unmodified when exporting an application's Desktop Entry (.desktop) and D-Bus Service (.service) files, instead of validating against an allowlist. A malicious Flatpak app can use this to cause denial of service (e.g. forced application restart loops) or to influence host D-Bus/systemd activation behavior beyond what the sandbox is intended to permit.37d
