——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa_sim_net: check TX pull result before RX copy vringh_iov_pull_iotlb() returns a signed byte count. A failed TX pull is currently added to the unsigned byte counter and then passed as a size_t length to receive_filter() and vringh_iov_push_iotlb(). A negative error can therefore become a large length in the RX path. Handle non-positive pull results before every length use. Count the TX error and complete the consumed TX descriptor with zero bytes. I found this bug myself, though the patch was written with AI assistance.15d

——1A flaw was found in the X.509 client-certificate authenticator of Keycloak, a solution for identity and access management. The issue occurs when the server is configured to check certificate revocation using CRL Distribution Points or OCSP. An attacker can provide a specially crafted certificate that points to a malicious server, causing Keycloak to make unauthorized outbound requests to internal or external endpoints before the certificate is fully validated. This can lead to a blind server-side request forgery (SSRF) attack.28d

——1Lumiverse is a full-featured AI chat application. Prior to 0.9.7, consumeNonce() only checks that the module-level variable is set and unexpired. It does not validate any value from the incoming HTTP request or bind the nonce to the admin's session. If the admin's auth.api.signUpEmail() call fails before the before hook fires (e.g. BetterAuth rejects a duplicate email at the validation layer), the nonce is set but never consumed. Any POST /api/auth/sign-up/email request that arrives during the remaining window registers successfully regardless of who sent it. An attacker who can observe or predict when the admin is creating users (must be a dupplicate user) can race the 10-second window to register an unauthorized account. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.7.105d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix race with concurrent opens in rename(2) Besides sending the rename request to the server, the rename process also involves closing any deferred close, waiting for outstanding I/O to complete as well as marking all existing open handles as deleted to prevent them from deferring closes, which increases the race window for potential concurrent opens on the target file. Fix this by unhashing the dentry in advance to prevent any concurrent opens on the target.14d

——1libass is a portable subtitle renderer for the ASS/SSA (Advanced Substation Alpha/Substation Alpha) subtitle format. From 0.17.4 until 0.17.5, libass event pruning does not guard negative Matroska `ReadOrder` values, allowing an attacker to clear arbitrarily many bits to zero at attacker-controlled positions near the NULL pointer. Exploitation requires a malicious Matroska stream loaded through `ass_process_chunk`, enabled read-order checking, and later pruning of the malicious events. Read-order checking is enabled by default unless `ass_set_check_readorder` is called with zero; pruning must occur explicitly through `ass_prune_events` or through automatic pruning previously enabled with `ass_configure_prune`. On common systems with arithmetic right shift, 32-bit int values, the upper address region reserved to the kernel, and matching binary/kernel architecture, the expected consequence is denial of service. More extensive exploitation on uncommon systems is theoretical and strongly constrained by the target addresses, bit-clearing-only mutation, and ASLR. This issue is fixed in version 0.17.5.4d

——1openssl_encrypt (pip package openssl-encrypt) before 1.4.9 contains two weaknesses in the portable USB drive feature, whose threat model treats the removable drive as untrusted (attacker with physical write access). USBDriveCreator._verify_integrity_file only validates files listed in the manifest, so files added to the drive — including a root-level autorun payload — are not detected and integrity verification still passes. Additionally, a globally constant, source-embedded KDF salt (_LEGACY_FIXED_SALT) is used to derive the drive encryption key for any drive lacking a per-drive salt file, defeating precomputation resistance and enabling an offline rainbow-table attack.62d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rds: tcp: hold the RCU lock across ipv6_chk_addr() in rds_tcp_laddr_check() rds_tcp_laddr_check() looks up a scoped IPv6 interface with dev_get_by_index_rcu(), drops the RCU read-side lock, and only then passes the bare struct net_device * into ipv6_chk_addr(). dev_get_by_index_rcu() only keeps the device alive within the same RCU read-side section. After rcu_read_unlock(), a concurrent RTM_DELLINK can free the net_device; ipv6_chk_addr() then dereferences the stale pointer in __ipv6_chk_addr_and_flags() (e.g. l3mdev_master_dev_rcu(dev)), reading freed memory. Keep the RCU read-side lock held across the ipv6_chk_addr() call instead of dropping it right after the lookup, so the device cannot be freed while it is in use. ——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: clear cloned request bio pointer when last clone bio completes Stale rq->bio values have been observed to cause double-initialization of cloned bios in request-based device-mapper targets, leading to use-after-free and double-free scenarios. One such case occurs when using dm-multipath on top of a PCIe NVMe namespace, where cloned request bios are freed during blk_complete_request(), but rq->bio is left intact. Subsequent clone teardown then attempts to free the same bios again via blk_rq_unprep_clone(). The resulting double-free path looks like: nvme_pci_complete_batch() nvme_complete_batch() blk_mq_end_request_batch() blk_complete_request() // called on a DM clone request bio_endio() // first free of all clone bios ... rq->end_io() // end_clone_request() dm_complete_request(tio->orig) dm_softirq_done() dm_done() dm_end_request() blk_rq_unprep_clone() // second free of clone bios Fix this by clearing the clone request's bio pointer when the last cloned bio completes, ensuring that later teardown paths do not attempt to free already-released bios.14d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: esp: downgrade zerocopy managed frags before mutating skb frags On the out-of-place output path (esp->inplace == false) ESP rewrites the skb frag array: esp_output_head() appends a trailer frag and esp_output_tail() replaces the frags with a destination page, both referenced with get_page(). When the skb carries zerocopy managed frags (SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS) the payload frags are owned by the ubuf and must not be referenced or unreferenced individually, but ESP mutates the frag array without ever downgrading the skb. This breaks the managed-frag invariant two ways: - esp_ssg_unref() walks the source scatterlist and drops a page reference for every frag, including the ubuf-owned payload frags, pushing their refcount below the GUP pin bias while the pages are still pinned, i.e. a use-after-free of the zerocopy pages; - esp_output_tail() installs its destination page as frag 0 with get_page() but leaves SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS set, so skb_release_data() takes the skip_unref branch and never drops that reference, leaking the x->xfrag page at packet rate. Fix this the way every other frag-mutating site does (__ip_append_data(), __ip6_append_data(), tcp_sendmsg_locked()) and call skb_zcopy_downgrade_managed() before ESP touches the frag array: it takes a real reference on each existing frag and clears SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS, so the per-frag unref in esp_ssg_unref() and the frag release in skb_release_data() are both balanced and no mixed-ownership frag array is left behind.15d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix OOB in pcpu_init_value An out-of-bounds read occurs when copying element from a BPF_MAP_TYPE_CGROUP_STORAGE map to another pcpu map with the same value_size that is not rounded up to 8 bytes. The issue happens when: 1. A CGROUP_STORAGE map is created with value_size not aligned to 8 bytes (e.g., 4 bytes) 2. A pcpu map is created with the same value_size (e.g., 4 bytes) 3. Update element in 2 with data in 1 pcpu_init_value assumes that all sources are rounded up to 8 bytes, and invokes copy_map_value_long to make a data copy, However, the assumption doesn't stand since there are some cases where the source may not be rounded up to 8 bytes, e.g., CGROUP_STORAGE, skb->data. the verifier verifies exactly the size that the source claims, not the size rounded up to 8 bytes by kernel, an OOB happens when the source has only 4 bytes while the copy size(4) is rounded up to 8.4d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma-buf/dma-fence: fix checking signaling bit for timeline and driver name v3 The patch "dma-buf: dma-fence: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference" changed the check to test for the ops pointer instead of the signaled bit to avoid a potential NULL dereference when the ops pointer has been cleared. The problem is now that the ops pointer is cleared only when neither the release nor the wait callback is implemented and this isn't true for a lot of dma_fence implementations yet. So those implementations lost the RCU protection after signaling of the returned string resulting in potential use after free. Add the signaling check additional to the ops pointer check so that we have both the protection against NULL dereference as well as the RCU protection after signaling for the returned string. v2: improve comments to note RCU protection and explain why we check both signaling state and ops pointer v3: some comment improvements suggested by Philip15d

——1In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/mbcache: cancel shrink work before destroying the cache mb_cache_destroy() calls shrinker_free() and then frees all cache entries and the cache itself, but it does not cancel the pending c_shrink_work work item first. If mb_cache_entry_create() schedules c_shrink_work via schedule_work() and the work item is still pending or running when mb_cache_destroy() runs, mb_cache_shrink_worker() will access the cache after its memory has been freed, causing a use-after-free. This is only reachable by a privileged user (root or CAP_SYS_ADMIN) who can trigger the last put of a mounted ext2/ext4/ocfs2 filesystem. Cancel the work item with cancel_work_sync() before calling shrinker_free(), ensuring the worker has finished and will not be rescheduled before the cache is torn down.4d
