——16Incorrect authorization in the certificate-name matching of trapperkeeper-authorization, as used by Puppet Server, in the affected products, allows a client that holds a CA-signed certificate whose name extends or shortens an authorized hostname to be authorized as that host. This enables impersonation of other nodes and, in Puppet Enterprise, access to certificate-authority administration and remote command execution on managed nodes. Exploitation requires a certificate with a colliding name, which the certificate authority issues by approval or autosign.7h

——10ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. In versions 1.34.0 through 1.36.38, the web interface mishandles failed token authentication in web/includes/auth.php. validateToken() returns false when a token is malformed or has an invalid signature, but the caller assigns that value to the global $user variable; because web/index.php tests isset($user), boolean false is treated as a present user and the normal login redirect is skipped. This can dispatch views that rely on the outer authentication gate, including the zones view, which accepts an attacker-selected monitor ID and discloses monitor and zone metadata without an independent permission check. Permission helpers receive the false user value and deny privileged operations, so unauthorized state changes have not been established. This vulnerability is fixed in version 1.36.63, where conversion to ZM\User objects causes invalid token state to fail before view dispatch. Later defense-in-depth changes explicitly leave $user unset after failed token validation and reject non-ZM\User values at the web authentication gate.22d

——7A security vulnerability has been detected in itsmeravitejak Online-Examination-System up to e6208e630b14657999bbfe4c9912302d2a1e2449. The impacted element is the function Session::checkLogin of the file include/session.php of the component Session Handler. Such manipulation of the argument cookname/cookid leads to incorrect comparison. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. This product implements a rolling release for ongoing delivery, which means version information for affected or updated releases is unavailable. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.25d

——2In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, the opt-in key-size validation on CMS key-transport recipients, org.bouncycastle.cms.jcajce.JceKeyTransRecipient.setKeySizeValidation(true), never ran for a message using RFC 9709 content-encryption key derivation (id-alg-cek-hkdf-sha256). The branch that should have selected the actual content-encryption algorithm carried in the key derivation AlgorithmIdentifier's parameters compared the encrypted-key byte array against the id-alg-cek-hkdf-sha256 object identifier, a comparison between a byte array and an ASN1ObjectIdentifier that is false for every possible input, so the check fell through to a key-size lookup on the outer wrapper OID. That OID identifies a key-derivation construction rather than a cipher and has no registered key size, so the size comparison was skipped entirely. A key-transport EnvelopedData or AuthEnvelopedData whose transported, HKDF-derived content-encryption key did not match the key size of the advertised content-encryption algorithm was therefore accepted even with validation explicitly enabled, silently defeating the only mechanism the API offers for enforcing recovered key size. The recipient now dispatches on the content-encryption AlgorithmIdentifier's algorithm OID, so validation checks the recovered key against the inner content-encryption algorithm. Messages with a matching key size, non-HKDF messages, and recipients that do not enable validation are unaffected. This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) before bcpkix-fips 2.0.13 (2.0.X series) and 2.1.13 (2.1.X series).32d

——7In Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo versions up to and including 6.5.2.202603, the mDNS add-on's string cache accepts a shorter name as a match for a longer stored one. A host on the local link can send two mDNS records that make a device performing continuous service discovery write up to three bytes past its transmit packet, corrupting a neighbouring packet or the pool's free list, and misattribute discovered records.3d

——10ip-address is a library for parsing and manipulating IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in JavaScript. Prior to 10.5.1, the Address6 isLinkLocal method in src/ipv6.ts recognizes only fe80::/64 instead of the complete fe80::/10 IPv6 link-local range. An attacker-controlled address elsewhere in fe80::/10 can therefore pass a trust-boundary check that relies on isLinkLocal. The same address is identified as link-local by getType and getScope, exposing the inconsistent classification. A successful bypass can reach an on-link host outside the intended trust boundary. This issue is fixed in version 10.5.1.39d
