Descrição técnica

body-parser is body parsing middleware for Node.js and Express. In versions before 1.20.9 and in versions from 2.0.0 before 2.4.0, a single request can crash any application using body-parser with default options. When a request carries a Content-Encoding such as gzip, body-parser pipes it into a decompression stream and, after reading the body, leaves that stream with no error listener. A payload of one valid compressed frame followed by trailing bytes decodes and the application responds normally, but the trailing bytes then reach the already-finished decoder, which emits an error that is re-thrown as an uncaught exception and terminates the process. No matching route is required because body parsing runs before routing, so any endpoint that parses a body is affected. The issue is fixed in body-parser 2.4.0 and 1.20.9, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. As a workaround, disable request-body inflation (set the body-parser inflate option to false) so encoded requests are rejected before any decompression stream is created.

CVE-2026-1235627.5 ALT

———devalue (sveltejs/devalue) 5.8.0 before 5.9.3 contains an unhandled promise rejection in stringifyAsync: when serializing multiple promises, a later promise rejecting before an earlier one settles leaves an internal rejection unhandled, even if the caller catches the returned promise. An attacker able to influence the timing or failure of serialized asynchronous values can terminate the Node.js process.13h

———gix-commitgraph before 0.42.0, as used in gitoxide before 0.61.0, contains a denial of service vulnerability because its commit-graph parser does not validate parent graph positions against the declared commit count or check the EDGE chunk length for 4-byte alignment. Attackers can supply a repository containing a crafted .git/objects/info/commit-graph file to trigger panics that abort gix merge-base, gix blame, and applications embedding gix.13h

——12Urwid is a console user interface library for Python. Prior to 4.0.7, handle_short_request() in urwid/display/web.py performs unguarded character encoding on POST input and unguarded UTF-8 decoding on polling update socket output. A remote attacker who obtains a valid X-Urwid-ID session token can submit non-ASCII POST data that raises UnicodeEncodeError, while non-UTF-8 polling output raises UnicodeDecodeError, causing the CGI handler to return an error and terminate request processing. The POST exception path also leaves an opened file descriptor unclosed for the CGI process lifetime, so repeated requests can cause denial of service for the web display interface. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.7.2d

——1An integer underflow vulnerability in the Avast Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) stream parser on Windows allows denial of service by causing a system crash. The WFP callout driver processes network stream data and computes length values for packet fragment reassembly. The length calculation does not properly validate input stream sizes against expected boundaries. When processing specially crafted input, the length computation underflows, resulting in allocation or buffer access with an extremely large wrapped-around size value. The underflow can be triggered remotely via network traffic destined for the filtered port, or locally via crafted data provided to the filtering interface. The resulting memory allocation failure or out-of-bounds access causes a kernel panic and system crash.2d

——1Missing exception handlers in AvastSvc native message dispatcher (ashServ.dll) on Windows allow a local, unprivileged attacker to crash the service by sending specially crafted JSON messages. The vulnerability spans multiple handler pathways in the RPC-based native message protocol: * Log_NmSvc.message handler: converts JSON fields to strings without type validation and without exception boundaries.  * OpenInSz_NmSvc handler: converts URL and origin fields to strings without type checking, exposing an exception. * OpenInSz_NmSvc.profile handler: converts the profile field to an integer without validation. In all three cases, the exceptions are not caught by action-specific handlers and propagate up the dispatcher. The common root cause is the absence of try-catch blocks around JSON type conversions in the native message processing chain.2d

——7undici is an HTTP client for Node.js. In versions 7.0.0 through 7.30.1 and 8.0.0 through 8.12.3, when the cache interceptor is composed with a downstream handler that throws during response processing (such as the built-in dump interceptor exceeding its maxSize, or the decompress interceptor rejecting more than five Content-Encoding values), a throw raised asynchronously while a cached response is replayed escapes as an uncaught exception or unhandled promise rejection and terminates the Node.js process. A malicious or compromised HTTP server can crash any such client by serving a cacheable response that triggers the throw on replay, including on a 304 revalidation of a stale entry, so the impact is availability only. The issue is fixed in undici 7.30.2 and 8.12.4, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. As a workaround, avoid composing the cache interceptor with a response handler that throws during response processing until upgrading.2d
