Descrição técnica

The extension hides the correct answer to each CAPTCHA inside the image data of the CAPTCHA itself. Anyone who can request a CAPTCHA image can read the answer from it and submit it, so automated clients can pass the challenge. This applies to the default configuration, because the audio feature that causes the answer to be embedded is enabled by default. Forms that rely on the CAPTCHA as their only protection against automated submissions are exposed to abuse by bots.

——8NivoCart through 2.5.1 contains a CAPTCHA bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to defeat form protection because the expected code is printed as plain text in the HTML. Attackers can fetch protected forms, extract the captcha_image value with a pattern match, and submit it to automate spam, registrations, reviews, and account deletion requests.22d

——7HCL Aftermarket EPC is affected by Sensitive Information in GET method & in URL which allows application to pass sensitive data via URL parameters during normal usage. Data passed in this manner can be exposed because it may end up stored in unintended locations, including server logs, local browser history and proxy logs.36d

——6HCL Aftermarket EPC is vulnerable to brute force attacks since application doesn’t have captcha implemented. It can lead to various security issues like brute force , automated attacks & account enumeration36d

——7GD::SecurityImage versions through 1.75 for Perl use rand to generate secrets. The random method creates the challenge text used for the CAPTCHA by sampling characters from an array using Perl's built-in rand function, and generates a (by default) six-character string. The built-in rand function is unsuitable for security applications because it is predictable and reversible.14d

——9Discuz! X5.0 releases 20260320 through 20260610 contains a CAPTCHA bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to defeat challenge controls by exploiting limited complexity and predictable character sets in generated CAPTCHA images. Attackers can train a custom optical character recognition model against collected CAPTCHA samples to reliably predict challenge text, bypassing protections on login, registration, and other functionality from automated abuse.12d

——4An insufficient encryption vulnerability exists in the Device Authentication functionality of GeoVision GV-IP Device Utility 9.0.5. Listening to broadcast packets can lead to credentials leak. An attacker can listen to broadcast messages to trigger this vulnerability. When interacting with various Geovision devices on the network, the utility may send privileged commands; in order to do so, the username and password of the device need to be provided. In some instances the command is broadcasted over UDP and the username/password are encrypted using a cryptographic protocol that appears to be derivated from Blowfish. However the symmetric key used for the encryption is also included in the packet, and thus the security of the username/password only relies on the "obscurity" of the encryption scheme. An attacker on the same LAN can listen to the broadcast traffic once an admin user interacts with the device, and decrypt the credentials using their own implementation of the algorithm. With this password the attacker would have full control over the device configuration, allowing them to change its ip address or even reset it to factory default.12d
