ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the self-service password-change endpoint verifies the current password but does not use the login module’s failed-attempt counter, throttle, delay, or lockout mechanism. An attacker with a valid authenticated session can submit repeated guesses for the current password without receiving a lockout or throttle response. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.

CVE-2026-1235215.9 MÉD—
———Vikunja before 2.7.1 contains an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability that allows session holders to brute-force account passwords via unthrottled re-authentication endpoints. Attackers with a stolen session can guess the password via /user/settings/totp/disable without lockout, then disable TOTP without a code for persistent account takeover.8hCVE-2026-172808.9 ALT46.1%
——14IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote attacker to perform unauthenticated brute-force attacks to obtain valid credentials due to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts.1dCVE-2026-689337.5 ALT8.8%
——3Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 5.2.3, public dashboard passwords were stored in plaintext, accepted through a URL query parameter, and checked without effective attempt throttling. The vulnerable surface is public password-protected dashboard storage and validation routes. An unauthenticated attacker targets a public password-protected dashboard and repeatedly submits candidate passwords or obtains password-bearing server or proxy logs. Unlimited online guesses enable brute force, while cleartext storage and URL transport expose the secret in application storage and server or proxy access logs. The target must be a public dashboard with password protection enabled. Even failed attempts reveal chart count and configuration without the password; a recovered password grants access to the protected dashboard and its chart data. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.2.3.1dCVE-2026-1239988.3 ALT14.0%
——4Hisense VIDAA Smart TV firmware V0000.01.00a.P0220 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in its remote-control MQTT broker on TCP port 36669, which accepts publicly documented default credentials and an ineffective 4-digit pairing PIN with no rate limiting or lockout, allowing a brute force of the entire code space in about five seconds, while some actions require no pairing at all. A LAN-adjacent attacker can exploit this to inject key events, change volume, switch input sources, enumerate inputs, launch arbitrary installed applications, and monitor pairing activity, posing a significant risk in hotel deployments where untrusted LAN access is common.2dCVE-2026-628505.3 MÉD19.7%
——6FreeScout is a self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to 1.8.225, the administrative tools.php maintenance endpoint is reachable without an appropriate authentication or access-control boundary. Response differences for attacker-controlled path values disclose whether arbitrary directories and files exist on the server. The same endpoint validates application-key and database-password candidates without rate limiting, per-session throttling, or a CAPTCHA, allowing unrestricted guessing attempts against application secrets. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.225.2dCVE-2026-669875.3 MÉD13.3%
——4HCL AION is affected by a vulnerability where the account lockout mechanism did not sufficiently restrict repeated failed login attempts, allowing an attacker to make a large number of password guesses against a user account. This may increase the risk of account compromise through brute-force attacks, potentially resulting in unintended behavior or security impact under certain conditions.2d
