Descrição técnica

webpack-dev-server is a development server that provides live reloading for webpack projects. In versions from 5.1.0 before 5.2.7 and in version 6.0.0, the unauthenticated open-editor endpoint validates the Host header with a regular expression meant for browser Origin schemes, so a Host value beginning with file: or with an extension scheme short-circuits the hostname and allowedHosts checks. A network peer that can reach the dev server can send a request with a malformed Host that passes validation and then causes the endpoint's URL construction to throw, and in the default non-production mode the server returns an HTTP 500 body containing the full exception stack trace, which discloses absolute filesystem paths, installed module locations, and internal source line numbers. The server keeps running, so there is no denial of service. The issue is fixed in webpack-dev-server 5.2.7 and 6.1.0, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later.

——0Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Juneau. The REST server sends the internal exception class and message to clients in a "Thrown" response header on every error response, and can include internal exception messages in the error body, even when stack-trace rendering is disabled. This reveals implementation details to remote clients. This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue.13h

——0A flaw was found in ansible-core. When a task marked `no_log: true` fails, the task result is censored before being emitted, but the `exception` field is retained because it is present in the PRESERVE allow-list in lib/ansible/_internal/_task.py, and the default stdout callback prints it through CallbackBase._handle_exception. As a result, sensitive values the operator explicitly asked to hide can be disclosed: module argument-validation errors echo the argument value, templating errors print an Origin source snippet (the failing line plus the two preceding lines of the variables file, exposing neighbouring secrets from an -e @secrets.yml file), and fail/assert messages are printed in full. Secret material supplied as extra variables or variables files can therefore leak to terminal output, CI logs, and the stdout logs of any automation wrapping ansible-playbook, even though every task touching the secrets is marked no_log: true. This is a regression introduced with the ansible-core 2.19 data-tagging/templating rework; the behaviour does not occur on 2.16, where the error text is correctly censored.9h

——2Warpgate is an open source SSH, HTTPS, and MySQL bastion host for Linux. Prior to 0.29.0, the Kubernetes protocol listener uses AcceptAnyClientCert in warpgate-protocol-kubernetes/src/server/client_certs.rs to accept certificates at the TLS layer and defer validation to warpgate-protocol-kubernetes/src/server/auth.rs, where authentication and lookup failures are rendered verbatim in an HTTP 500 response body. The Kubernetes application in warpgate-protocol-kubernetes/src/server/mod.rs lacks the outer request-logging wrapper used by the HTTP protocol, and failures in warpgate-protocol-kubernetes/src/server/handlers.rs can short-circuit before its inner log point. An unauthenticated network client can therefore induce failures and receive ASN.1/DER parser diagnostics or sea_orm database errors without the attempt being recorded in the gateway log. The disclosed information is limited to internal diagnostics, and no user-data, integrity, or availability impact is established. This issue is fixed in version 0.29.0.1d

——5The Duplicator WordPress plugin before 5.1.0, duplicator-pro WordPress plugin before 5.1.0 does not prevent direct access to some of its bundled PHP files, which initialise without their expected context, trigger a fatal error, and return a stack trace that discloses the server's absolute filesystem paths to unauthenticated users.2d

——8A flaw was found in RESTEasy's default exception mapper. When an unhandled exception other than a WebApplicationException is not handled by an application exception mapper, RESTEasy returns the exception's localized message in the HTTP 500 response body. A remote unauthenticated attacker who can trigger such an exception may obtain information contained in that message. The behavior was reproduced with RESTEasy 7.0.2.Final.2d
