Descrição técnica

baserCMS is a website development framework. In versions 5.0.0 before 5.3.2 and 5.4.0 before 5.4.2, the widget-area entity serializes widgets only when the submitted value is an array, allowing a string submitted through the admin JSON API to be stored unchanged. Entity reads, including front-end rendering and API responses, deserialize the stored value with unserialize() without an allowed_classes restriction, accepting both raw and base64-encoded serialized data. An administrator, or an attacker who obtains widget-write capability through a separate vulnerability such as chained XSS, can plant an object graph that subsequently triggers on unauthenticated page requests. Two demonstrated gadget chains in the default dependency set use composer/composer ProcessExecutor::startJob() with Process::fromShellCommandline(), or logiscape/mcp-sdk-php StdioTransport::connect() with StdioServerParameters, to reach proc_open() and execute commands as the web-server user. Deserialization bypasses constructor-based readonly safeguards, and the stored payload can execute repeatedly until the database row is repaired. Unauthenticated page access is a trigger after privileged payload storage, not an unauthenticated means of initially planting the payload. This issue has been patched in versions 5.3.2 and 5.4.2.

——0Treeio through 2.0 contains an insecure deserialization vulnerability in UpdateRecord.get_format_strings and ModuleSetting.loads that allows staff users to execute code via unverified pickle data. Attackers can store a crafted base64 pickle payload in an UpdateRecord format_strings field through the Django admin, executing Python code as the web server user when news feeds render.1d

——12The Advanced Form Integration — Connect Forms to 300+ Apps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.2 via deserialization of untrusted input . This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present. Exploitation requires that an administrator has previously configured at least one active NexForms integration (status=1) in the plugin's database table; in the free tier, only POST parameter keys containing the substrings 'name', 'email', 'first', or 'last' are routed to the vulnerable normalizer.1d

——17The QA Assistants – Driven by data plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 5.3.0 via the 'dlevent_ver' parameter. This is due to unrestricted PHP deserialization via wrap_unserialize_static() calling unserialize() without an allowed_classes restriction, combined with serialize_escape() failing to sanitize path traversal sequences in the raw_name parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. The Guzzle FileCookieJar gadget present in the plugin's bundled Composer dependencies can be leveraged to perform an Arbitrary File Write, writing attacker-controlled content to an attacker-chosen filename, which can result in Remote Code Execution. Exploitation requires triggering the qahm_cron_data_manage scheduled event via wp-cron.php to invoke the deserialization sink against a planted queue file, but this endpoint requires no authentication and fires automatically on a two-minute schedule.1d

——14The WPSyncSheets For Contact Form 7 – CF7 Google Sheets Connector & Save to Database plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.0 via the 'any non-system CF7 field (e.g., your-message)' parameter parameter. This is due to insufficient sanitization of CF7 submission field values before database storage and the absence of an allowed_classes restriction on maybe_unserialize() during admin retrieval. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. Successful exploitation of the remote code execution gadget chain requires that a Google Sheets access token be configured in the plugin (its primary advertised feature), as this triggers autoloading of the bundled Monolog 2.10.0 library whose classes form the exploitable gadget chain; however, the underlying PHP Object Injection occurs regardless.2d

——3PyMoDAQ before 4.4.13, and pymodaq_data, pymodaq_gui, and pymodaq_utils before 5.1.15, 5.2.x before 5.2.14, and 5.3.x before 5.3.10, contain deserialization of untrusted data and eval injection vulnerabilities that allow attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying crafted files that a user opens. Attackers can store pickled objects in HDF5 string nodes that StringARRAY.array_to_string() passes to pickle.loads() when the node is browsed or read, place Python expressions in HDF5 attributes that JsonConverter.json2object() evaluates, supply a .dock file that load_layout_state() unpickles from the Dashboard Load layout action, or embed Python expressions in XML settings files that elt_to_dict() and set_txt_from_elt() evaluate.3d
