Descrição técnica

pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.2, an incomplete remediation for repeated malformed cross-reference entries in GHSA-55h5-xmcq-c37v could still trigger a complete PDF stream reload during each recovery attempt even when a recovery cache was present, causing crafted cross-reference streams to produce long runtimes. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.2.

CVE-2026-1244377.5 ALT
—
———Scriban before 7.5.3 contains a resource exhaustion vulnerability that allows untrusted template authors to exhaust memory and CPU because builtins like math.format, regex.replace and string.escape skip the LimitToString allocation guard. Attackers can submit small templates using huge format precision specifiers, shared-structure array comparison, BigInteger multiplication or exponential function recursion that ignore LoopLimit and CancellationToken, crashing or stalling multi-tenant hosts.3h
CVE-2026-1236087.5 ALT
—
———Hickory DNS hickory-proto from 0.3.1 before 0.26.1 contains a denial of service vulnerability in BinEncoder that allows remote attackers to exhaust CPU through quadratic-time name compression. Attackers can send malicious DNS messages with many records that add many candidate labels and trigger repeated linear scans during encoding, amplifying CPU exhaustion.15h
CVE-2026-1236067.5 ALT
—
———The hickory-dns recursor in hickory-recursor 0.25.0-alpha.3 through 0.25.2 and hickory-resolver 0.26.0-alpha.1 before 0.26.2 iterates every out-of-bailiwick NS target lacking glue in a referral without any per-query work budget. Remote attackers can serve such referrals to force A and AAAA lookups per target, amplifying traffic against remote servers or exhausting recursor resources.15h
CVE-2026-1235867.5 ALT
—
———Hickory DNS 0.25.0-alpha.3 through 0.25.2 contains a query amplification vulnerability in its recursive resolver, which mishandles cyclic sibling name server referrals that lack glue records. Attackers controlling two zones whose name servers reference each other without glue records can make the recursor loop, sending many upstream queries, amplified further by zero-TTL NS records.15h
CVE-2026-1235855.3 MÉD
—
———The hickory-resolver component of Hickory DNS 0.25.0 before 0.26.2 follows irrelevant CNAME records when resolving recursive queries, sending queries that are unnecessary to answer the original request. Attackers controlling DNS responses can include CNAME records in the authority or additional sections, or outside the original query name's CNAME chain, causing excess resolver queries and increased query amplification.15h
CVE-2026-1235707.5 ALT
—
———The DNS wire-format message parser in hickory-proto (Hickory DNS) 0.18 before 0.26.2 preallocates record vectors sized by the untrusted ANCOUNT, NSCOUNT, and ARCOUNT header fields before reading record data. Remote attackers can send a UDP datagram, or a spoofed response to a client/resolver, with these counts set to 65535, forcing about 18MB of allocation per message.15h
