Descrição técnica

A race condition in Epiphany allows a malicious website to bypass the TLS/SSL certificate warning page. Epiphany registers the main-world script message handler "tlsErrorPage" so its internal TLS error page can implement "Accept Risk and Proceed". The handler was registered immediately before loading the error page, leaving a brief window where the previously loaded untrusted origin could still call window.webkit.messageHandlers.tlsErrorPage.postMessage(...). The only authorization check compares a numeric WebKit page id that increments predictably; an attacker can burst-guess ids and approve a certificate exception with no user click. If a victim visits malicious site A that redirects to site B with an invalid certificate, site A can, for a few milliseconds, disable TLS certificate error warnings for host B until Epiphany is restarted, enabling man-in-the-middle or site spoofing for that host. Upstream report: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/work_items/2978 Proof of concept: https://beford.net/poc/ssl_poc.html Fix: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/merge_requests/2245 (register handlers on LOAD_COMMITTED). No fixed release tagged yet; reporter and maintainer describe all current versions as affected. Maintainer notes the risky registration timing dates to commit 1da1caed (Epiphany 45.x era); before that the handlers were always registered and similarly reachable from web content.

——32FAuth is a web app to manage Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) accounts and generate their security codes. Prior to 8.0.0, the otpauth image-fetch path validates a hostname through ValidatesUrls::isExternalHost() and then lets IconService::storeRemoteImage() resolve the same hostname again for the HTTP request. When external otpauth image fetching is enabled, an authenticated user controlling low-TTL authoritative DNS can return a public address during validation and an internal address during the later connection, bypassing the private-address deny list to reach loopback, private-network, link-local, or cloud metadata endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.0.1d

——2WWBN AVideo 29.0 through 29.4.0 contains a race condition vulnerability in plugin/PayPalYPT/ipn.php that allows attackers to bypass IPN replay protection due to a non-atomic deduplication check and insert. Attackers can concurrently replay a captured valid recurring-payment notification so both requests pass isRecurringPaymentIdUsed(), obtaining duplicate wallet credits and subscription renewals.2d

——1filelock is a platform-independent file lock for Python. From 3.20.4 until 4.2.1, ReadWriteLock and AsyncReadWriteLock on Windows use _connect to attach SQLite to the lock database by pathname, allowing another local account that can create adjacent names to place a database-wal or database-journal side file before acquisition. An undeletable WAL file makes each read or write acquisition fail immediately with sqlite3.OperationalError regardless of timeout. Separately, when the database contains at least one table, a hot journal that grants the lock account modify rights can cause SQLite recovery to delete a file named by that journal only when the lock account has permission to delete the target. The issue requires a directory writable by another account, such as a shared Windows temporary directory, and does not affect private directories. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.1.1d

——5LibreTV before v2.21.2 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated users to bypass checkUpstreamAllowed() by exploiting unpinned DNS resolution in fetchWithSafeRedirects(). Attackers controlling authoritative DNS can return public addresses during validation and internal addresses at connection time via /api/source/test, /api/proxy, /api/search or /api/detail to reach loopback services, private hosts or cloud metadata endpoints.3d

——0A time-of-check to time-of-use race condition in the SafeNet Authentication Client (SAC) SACSrv log-cleanup function can allow an authenticated, non-administrator local user to redirect a privileged file deletion operation outside the intended log directory.  This issue affects SAC releases up to and including 10.9 R3 GA (build 10.9.7449).1d
