Descrição técnica

MIME::Parser::FileUnder versions before 5.521 for Perl reuse a pre-created output directory and follow symlinks in it, letting local users redirect attachment writes. Each message is written to a directory named msg-<time>-<pid>-<n> under the output base, and an existing directory of that name is used as is. A file name counts as unused when nothing exists at that path, which holds for a dangling symlink, and the body file is then opened in a way that follows the link. When the output base is writable by other users, as with output_under("/tmp"), a local user can pre-create the directory with a symlink named like an attachment. The parser then writes the attachment to the link target with the privileges of the parsing process.

CVE-2026-1235326.5 MÉD

———gix-fs in gitoxide before 0.24.1 contains a credential disclosure vulnerability that allows remote attackers to capture NTLM credentials by supplying UNC symlink targets in a crafted repository. When a victim checks out the repository on Windows with symlinks enabled, gix_fs::symlink::create calls is_dir() on the UNC target, triggering SMB authentication that leaks the username, domain, and NTLMv2 hash.9h

———Vikunja veans before 2.7.1 contains a symlink following vulnerability that allows attackers to make veans init write files outside the repository via crafted repo symlinks. Attackers can ship symlinked .veans.yml, .claude, or .opencode entries to overwrite user files like ~/.bashrc or install veans hooks and plugins globally.9h

——7DDEV is an open-source tool for running local web development environments for PHP and Node.js. From 1.25.2 until 1.25.4, Untar in pkg/archive/archive.go validates an absolute tar symlink target after rebasing it beneath dest, but creates the symlink with the raw absolute Linkname. A crafted archive can therefore plant a host-absolute symlink and use a following regular-file entry to write outside the extraction directory. The flaw is reachable through remote add-on retrieval and database or file imports, and overwriting shell startup files, Git hooks, or cron entries can lead to code execution in the DDEV user's context. Unzip is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.25.4.2d
