Descrição técnica

psqlODBC sizes its row cache from the column count of a cursor's first result, but recomputes the column count from each later FETCH reply without checking that it matches. A server not trusted under current SSL settings can answer a later FETCH with more columns and make the driver write tuple records past the end of the heap allocation. A keyset reply with fewer columns than the key fields also underflows the unsigned field count. This is reachable with UseDeclareFetch enabled. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected.

———imgproxy 3.3.0 before 4.0.17 contains an out-of-bounds heap read and write in the ICO loader's BMP header reconstruction (vips_foreign_load_ico_header in vips/icoload.c) when an ICO entry declares a tiny data size, causing unvalidated header fields to be read and written past the allocated buffer. Unauthenticated remote attackers can supply a crafted ICO image to corrupt adjacent heap chunk metadata, triggering a glibc abort that crashes the worker.5h

———Hickory DNS from 0.26.0 before 0.26.2 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in TSIG RDATA decoding that allows remote attackers to trigger a panic via malformed records. Attackers can send a crafted TSIG record in DNS wire format to cause unchecked subtraction underflow, crashing builds with overflow checks enabled and causing denial of service.5h

——0Botan is a C++ cryptography library. From 2.7.0 until 3.13.0, Botan's Scrypt implementation on 32-bit platforms computes required memory with unchecked multiplication, allowing attacker-controlled Scrypt parameters to wrap the allocation size and create a buffer smaller than the algorithm subsequently writes. The issue affects systems that enable Scrypt and accept arbitrary parameters from a hostile source, including applications that decrypt attacker-supplied encrypted private keys. A triggering parameter set can cause approximately four gigabytes of Scrypt output to be written past the allocated heap buffer, immediately crashing the process and causing denial of service. Arbitrary code execution is not demonstrated and appears difficult, but cannot be excluded from the overwrite primitive. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.1d

——1EDFbrowser before 2.16 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in check_edf_file() that allows attackers to overflow the 256-element annot_ch array by supplying excessive annotation signals. Attackers can craft an EDF+ or BDF+ file with more than 256 annotation signals to overwrite edfhdrblock members, including the signal parameter pointer, crashing the application when opened.2d

——1An integer underflow vulnerability in the Avast Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) stream parser on Windows allows denial of service by causing a system crash. The WFP callout driver processes network stream data and computes length values for packet fragment reassembly. The length calculation does not properly validate input stream sizes against expected boundaries. When processing specially crafted input, the length computation underflows, resulting in allocation or buffer access with an extremely large wrapped-around size value. The underflow can be triggered remotely via network traffic destined for the filtered port, or locally via crafted data provided to the filtering interface. The resulting memory allocation failure or out-of-bounds access causes a kernel panic and system crash.2d

——14Wazuh from 1.0.0 before 4.14.9 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in wazuh-execd that allows privileged manager-configuration attackers to corrupt root process memory via excess ar.conf entries. Attackers controlling ossec.conf active-response blocks can push over 64 commands to agents, overflowing ReadExecConfig() arrays and crashing Active Response fleet-wide.1d
