Descrição técnica

CGI versions before 5.00 for Perl allow HTTP header injection via entity decoding after the newline check in header and unchecked values in multipart_start and do_push. With autoEscape off, header decodes HTML entities in extra header values after its newline check, so an encoded CR or LF reaches the response. multipart_start does not check header values for newlines, and do_push does not check the type it prints in each part. An application that passes request data into these header values can be made to add headers or split the response.

CVE-2026-73117—
—
——0Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences in HTTP Headers ('HTTP Response Splitting') vulnerability in Apache Juneau. The Apache Juneau REST server passed response header values and redirect targets to the servlet container unchecked. An application that sets a response header or redirect target from request data could let a remote client inject header lines (where the servlet container does not itself reject CR/LF) or redirect users to an arbitrary external site. The framework itself does not build headers or redirects from request data; exposure depends on application code. This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. Header values are now sanitized by default; applications that build redirect targets from request data must also switch from sendRedirect() to the new sendSafeRedirect().14h

——3Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences in HTTP Headers ('HTTP Request/Response Splitting') vulnerability in hackney_http_connect in benoitc hackney allows HTTP Request Splitting via the value a proxy_auth_fun callback returns. After a 407 response from an HTTP CONNECT proxy, hackney_http_connect:handle_proxy_auth/11 calls the caller's proxy_auth_fun with the status code and the response headers and writes the returned binary into the Proxy-Authorization line of the CONNECT retry without checking it. A CR, LF or NUL byte in that value adds header lines to the request sent to the proxy. The value is attacker-influenced when the callback derives it from untrusted data, for example from the proxy's challenge headers. Other caller-supplied values on the CONNECT path, such as the target host and the request headers, were already checked for control bytes. This issue affects hackney: from 2.0.0 before 4.9.0.11d

——5The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 25.08 to before version 26.05, the IIIF Auth 2.0 endpoints auth/login and auth/token in AuthorizationFlowResource accept an origin query parameter without validation and then (1) embed it into the Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors response header and (2) embed it into an HTML response body as a JavaScript single-quoted postMessage argument. Because the attacker controls both the login and token calls that initiate the flow, the unescaped value yields reflected XSS. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.7d

——9cpp-httplib is a C++ header-only HTTP/HTTPS library. From 0.29.0 until 0.51.0, Client::open_stream in httplib.h accepts a caller-controlled path that reaches detail::write_request_line() without the detail::encode_path() protection used by the ordinary buffered request path. Raw carriage-return and line-feed bytes in the path can therefore split the outbound HTTP/1.1 request line and inject attacker-shaped request metadata. Exploitation requires an embedding application to pass remote user input into the open_stream path and a backend or intermediary that interprets the injected bytes; the established impact is modification of backend-visible request data, not direct confidentiality or availability impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.51.0.20d

——1Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 do not sufficiently sanitize input used by the Query Console file-exploration endpoint, which could allow HTTP response splitting and unintended client-side response handling.20d
