Descrição técnica

SimulationCraft is a tool to explore combat mechanics in World of Warcraft. In builds after release-820-01 and before the identified May 7, 2026 nightly, the `bcp_api.cpp` loop over the JSON `sockets` array uses `slot_data["sockets"].Size()` without bounding `gem_idx` by `MAX_GEM_SLOTS`, which is four in `engine/sc_enums.hpp`. The destination `gem_id` and `gem_bonus_id` arrays in `engine/item/item.hpp` have only four elements. More than four socket entries therefore write beyond `gem_id` into the adjacent `gem_bonus_id` vector storage; `bonus_list` entries can also access `gem_bonus_id` out of bounds. Corrupting a vector's `_M_start` pointer causes the `item_t` destructor to free an attacker-influenced pointer during normal cleanup. The advisory reports crashes and code execution demonstrated in a testing environment. Attack inputs can arrive through a malicious `.simc` profile with a `[[equipment]]` section, a compromised addon export, or `Battle.net API` responses modified by an attacker with a privileged network position. The fix is contained in the nightly build identified as simc-1205-01-516b5d7; no containing release tag is available.

CVE-2026-1236157.5 ALT

———imgproxy 3.3.0 before 4.0.17 contains an out-of-bounds heap read and write in the ICO loader's BMP header reconstruction (vips_foreign_load_ico_header in vips/icoload.c) when an ICO entry declares a tiny data size, causing unvalidated header fields to be read and written past the allocated buffer. Unauthenticated remote attackers can supply a crafted ICO image to corrupt adjacent heap chunk metadata, triggering a glibc abort that crashes the worker.9h

———imgproxy from 4.0.0 before 4.0.16 contains an integer overflow in the ICO loader that allows remote attackers to trigger a heap buffer overflow via a crafted data_size value. Attackers can submit a crafted ICO image whose data_size wraps the allocation in vips/icoload.c, corrupting heap memory to crash the process or achieve code execution.9h

——0A vulnerability was determined in Tenda AC19 16.03.10.07. Affected by this issue is the function saveParentControlInfo of the file /goform/saveParentControlInfo. This manipulation of the argument deviceId causes heap-based buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized.21h

——0Botan is a C++ cryptography library. From 2.7.0 until 3.13.0, Botan's Scrypt implementation on 32-bit platforms computes required memory with unchecked multiplication, allowing attacker-controlled Scrypt parameters to wrap the allocation size and create a buffer smaller than the algorithm subsequently writes. The issue affects systems that enable Scrypt and accept arbitrary parameters from a hostile source, including applications that decrypt attacker-supplied encrypted private keys. A triggering parameter set can cause approximately four gigabytes of Scrypt output to be written past the allocated heap buffer, immediately crashing the process and causing denial of service. Arbitrary code execution is not demonstrated and appears difficult, but cannot be excluded from the overwrite primitive. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.2d
