Descrição técnica

nebula-mesh is a self-hosted control plane for Slack Nebula mesh VPN. Prior to version 0.3.8, the web handler renderMobileBundle passes the real *pki.CAResolver directly into mobilebundle.Build. Inside Build, resolver.LoadByID decrypts the CA's ed25519 private key into a *pki.CAManager, but Build never calls CAManager.Wipe() on any return path. As a result, when a mobile-bundle request goes through the web UI and Build returns — especially on error (missing network, invalid prefix, DB error, signing failure) — the plaintext CA private key remains on the Go heap, unwiped, until garbage collection. An attacker able to read process memory (core dump, swap, memory-scraping) can recover the CA signing key, which would allow minting arbitrary host certificates for the mesh. The API handler already does this correctly: it loads the CAManager, defer caMgr.Wipe(), and wraps it in caManagerResolver. Only the web path is affected. This issue has been patched in version 0.3.8.

———Rustls before 0.23.46 and 0.24.0-dev.1 before 0.24.0-dev.2 contains an information disclosure vulnerability where derived Debug formatting of client session values exposes secret key material. Custom ClientSessionStore implementations that log Tls12ClientSessionValue or Tls13ClientSessionValue can leak TLS 1.2 master secrets or TLS 1.3 resumption PSKs to log readers.14h

——7undici is an HTTP client for Node.js. In versions 7.0.0 through 7.30.1 and 8.0.0 through 8.12.3, the redirect interceptor strips sensitive headers such as Authorization, Cookie, Proxy-Authorization, and Host when a request is redirected to a different origin, but when request headers are supplied as an array of name and value tuples (a valid documented input, for example from Object.entries), the redirect handler misreads them as a flat list so the header names never match and the sensitive headers are not removed. If a header-normalizing interceptor such as cache or deduplicate is composed outside the redirect interceptor, it then serializes the retained headers onto the cross-origin request, disclosing the caller's origin-bound credentials to the unrelated redirect destination. This is a representation-dependent bypass of the cross-origin header stripping added in CVE-2024-30260. The issue is fixed in undici 7.30.2 and 8.12.4, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. As a workaround, supply request headers as a plain object or a flat name and value array rather than an array of tuples, or compose the redirect interceptor outside the normalizing interceptor.2d

——7CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl send users their own password hash and the admin-only user note via getUserConfig. getUserConfig() returns the caller's whole cbuser row, including the stored password hash and the note field that the user interface shows only to administrators. getTableData() and getAllFieldValues() in the user management plugins also return the note to users without the admin right. A non-administrator can read the notes administrators keep about them, and an attacker who obtains a session token can get that user's password hash and crack it offline.2d
