Descrição técnica

i18next is an internationalization framework for JavaScript. Prior to version 26.3.4, `deepExtend` in `src/utils.js` checks property existence with the in operator and recurses into inherited built-ins reached through `Object.prototype`. An application must explicitly pass attacker-controlled resource data to `addResourceBundle(lng, ns, data, deep, overwrite)` with both `deep: true` and `overwrite: true`. Source keys such as `hasOwnProperty`, `toString` and `valueOf` can then select shared inherited built-in function objects, and a nested value can overwrite a property of those objects process-wide. For example, making `Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty.call` non-callable causes subsequent uses, including i18next internals, to throw TypeError, resulting in unrecoverable denial of service and limited integrity impact. The `__proto__`/`constructor` guard does not prevent this mechanism because the corruption target is an inherited built-in function rather than the prototype object itself. Default calls without deep merging or with overwrite falsy are unaffected, and no standard i18next backend or integration uses the vulnerable configuration. This issue is distinct from the setPath/key-walking prototype-pollution flaws in i18next-fs-backend (CVE-2026-48713) and i18next-http-middleware (CVE-2026-48714). This issue is fixed in version 26.3.4.

——8Joi 17.13.6 before 17.13.9 and 18.2.5 before 18.3.1 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in lib/messages.js compile() and merge() that fails to reject a __proto__ language key. Attackers supplying untrusted message configuration via any().messages(), prefs, validate options or Joi.extend can replace the compiled messages prototype, altering or breaking validation error rendering and dependent logic.6h

——2draw.io is a configurable diagramming and whiteboarding application. Prior to 31.1.5, the GraphML decoder contains a prototype-pollution vulnerability. Attacker-controlled GraphML reference keys can address inherited object properties, including prototype objects, and the decoder can then assign attacker-controlled attributes to those objects. Importing a malicious GraphML file can trigger client-side prototype pollution. In the advisory-supported cross-site scripting chain, the editor is opened in Trello mode and the user invokes the Trello integration after the import, allowing the polluted state to execute script in the draw.io origin; an existing Trello connection is not required. This vulnerability is fixed in 31.1.5.1d

——11Parse Server before 8.6.113 and 9.0.0 before 9.10.6-alpha.5 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability when building objects for Cloud Code triggers and LiveQuery, where a dot notation key whose intermediate segment resolves through an inherited member writes onto a process-wide built-in. Clients with write access to an object in a class with a trigger or LiveQuery can corrupt a built-in function, making unrelated requests fail until restart and denying service to all clients and hosted applications.1d

——1LibreDWG is a free C library to read and write DWG files. Prior to 0.14, `bit_TV_to_utf8()` in `src/bits.c` can write to the caller-provided `src` buffer despite accepting const input. On an `iconv()` error other than `E2BIG`, the function frees its output buffer and passes the original input alias to `bit_u_expand()`, which expands or shrinks Unicode and multibyte escape sequences in place. If the input is a string literal, read-only mapping, or other immutable buffer, the write can cause a segmentation fault and denial of service; mutable caller-owned input can be unexpectedly modified before being returned. This affects applications that expose the conversion API to untrusted input under those conditions. Direct file-triggered exploitability through normal DWG decode/export paths remains unconfirmed because many TV strings are heap allocated by bit_read_TV(). This issue is fixed in version 0.14.23h

——10Parse Server before 8.6.108 and 9.0.0 before 9.10.5-alpha.9 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability because user-controlled keys are expanded into objects without own-property checks. Clients with class write access can send dot notation field keys or ACL entry names matching built-in object members to corrupt built-in functions, causing all requests to fail until server restart.6d

——2Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used pki.verifyCertificateChain(), pki.createCaStore(), duplicate subject names to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge modified the CA store while trying certificates that shared a subject name during pki.verifyCertificateChain(). A failed chain verification could permanently remove trusted CA certificates from the store, causing later valid chains to fail and creating a persistent availability impact for applications that reused the store. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.2d
