Descrição técnica

Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. From version 10.6.0 until 10.9.8 and 11.16.1, Mermaid XY Charts are vulnerable to an infinite loop denial of service in the setXAxisRangeData function when configuring an X-Axis with invalid parameters. Because each loop iteration appends an element to an array, this generally causes a RangeError to appear after a few seconds, but it may instead cause the page or JavaScript process to crash from memory exhaustion, depending on the environment. This issue is fixed in versions 10.9.8 and 11.16.1.

——0ImageMagick before 7.1.2-35 and 6.9.13-60 contains an infinite loop vulnerability in the SVG decoder because QueueAuthenticPixelCacheNexus in MagickCore/cache.c fails to validate requested region width and height. Attackers can supply a crafted SVG image that repeatedly requests a non-advancing pixel region, consuming CPU and hanging the decoding worker.11h

——0A flaw was found in the SAML 1.1 assertion parser of Keycloak, a tool used for identity and access management. The issue occurs when the parser handles a specific element called AuthorityBinding within an authentication statement. Due to an incomplete fix for a previous vulnerability, the parser can enter an infinite loop that consumes all available memory, causing the entire Keycloak service to crash and become unavailable to users.13h

——0A flaw was found in the SAML 1.1 XML parsing logic of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when the parser encounters unexpected elements within a security token's key information section, causing the processing thread to enter an infinite loop. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this by sending specially crafted requests, leading to 100% CPU usage and a total denial of service that requires a server restart to resolve.13h

——2In the NAS Authentication Request message decoding procedure, a missing lower bound check causes an infinite loop, leading to Denial of Service.1d

——7Kyverno before 1.19.2 contains a denial of service vulnerability in substituteVariablesIfAny that allows low-privileged users to hang the admission webhook via self-referential variable templates. Attackers can create resources whose annotations re-introduce the embedded policy variable, causing unbounded substitution loops that exhaust CPU and memory and block cluster-wide admission.16h

——9Moleculer is a progressive microservices framework for Node.js. Prior to 0.14.36 and 0.15.2, Parser._write in src/transporters/tcp/parser.js used Buffer.prototype.readInt32BE to read a signed packet length, so a remote unauthenticated peer could supply a negative value that caused packet.slice(length) to return the unchanged buffer while the while (packet.length > 0) loop continued indefinitely. The synchronous loop blocked the Node.js event loop and made every service in the process unresponsive until restart. The TCP transporter must be enabled and reachable, and neither CRC validation nor maxPacketSize prevents the malformed length value. This issue is fixed in versions 0.14.36 and 0.15.2.10h
