Descrição técnica

The OSDP Control Panel reply parser cp_decode_response() in subsys/mgmt/osdp/src/osdp_cp.c decodes replies from a Peripheral Device into a stack-allocated struct osdp_event. For the REPLY_KEYPPAD and REPLY_RAW reply types, the payload length is taken from the received frame and the only validation performed is that the declared length is self-consistent with the number of payload bytes present in the frame. Because the attacker controls both the length field and the frame length, that check imposes no bound, and the subsequent memcpy() writes into the fixed 64-byte data arrays of struct osdp_event_keypress / struct osdp_event_cardread (OSDP_EVENT_MAX_DATALEN). The sibling REPLY_FMT handler in the same switch already carried the missing > OSDP_EVENT_MAX_DATALEN bound. The defect is reached from cp_process_reply(), which reads bytes from the OSDP RS-485 channel and passes them through osdp_phy_check_packet() and osdp_phy_decode_packet() before dispatching on the reply ID. Triggering it requires CONFIG_OSDP with CONFIG_OSDP_MODE_CP and an application event callback registered (the normal Control Panel integration), plus a frame carrying a correct SOM, a valid CRC-16, and a matching 2-bit sequence number — all of which are computable or observable by anyone on the bus. No check ties the reply ID to the outstanding command, so an oversized REPLY_KEYPPAD or REPLY_RAW is accepted as the answer to a routine CMD_POLL. A malicious or compromised card reader, or anyone with access to the RS-485 wiring, can supply such a frame; CONFIG_OSDP_SC_ENABLED only helps while a secure channel is active, and a single unauthenticated frame carrying a bad MAC causes sc_deactivate(), after which plaintext replies are again accepted. With the default CONFIG_OSDP_UART_BUFFER_LENGTH of 256, roughly 180 bytes of fully attacker-chosen data can be written past the end of the stack-allocated event object, over saved registers and the return address on typical Cortex-M and RISC-V frame layouts (Zephyr does not enable stack canaries by default). The impact ranges from a hard crash of the access-control panel to potential control-flow hijack in the context of the OSDP receive thread. The fix adds an OSDP_EVENT_MAX_DATALEN bound to both handlers, capping each memcpy() at the size of its destination.

CVE-2026-104267—

———Botan is a C++ cryptography library. From 2.7.0 until 3.13.0, Botan's Scrypt implementation on 32-bit platforms computes required memory with unchecked multiplication, allowing attacker-controlled Scrypt parameters to wrap the allocation size and create a buffer smaller than the algorithm subsequently writes. The issue affects systems that enable Scrypt and accept arbitrary parameters from a hostile source, including applications that decrypt attacker-supplied encrypted private keys. A triggering parameter set can cause approximately four gigabytes of Scrypt output to be written past the allocated heap buffer, immediately crashing the process and causing denial of service. Arbitrary code execution is not demonstrated and appears difficult, but cannot be excluded from the overwrite primitive. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.21h

——0EDFbrowser before 2.16 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in check_edf_file() that allows attackers to overflow the 256-element annot_ch array by supplying excessive annotation signals. Attackers can craft an EDF+ or BDF+ file with more than 256 annotation signals to overwrite edfhdrblock members, including the signal parameter pointer, crashing the application when opened.1d

——0Wazuh from 1.0.0 before 4.14.9 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in wazuh-execd that allows privileged manager-configuration attackers to corrupt root process memory via excess ar.conf entries. Attackers controlling ossec.conf active-response blocks can push over 64 commands to agents, overflowing ReadExecConfig() arrays and crashing Active Response fleet-wide.23h

——1LibreOffice includes a dBASE database driver, which reads dBASE tables and their .ndx index files when a folder of dBASE files is used as a data source. A heap buffer overflow existed when an index page was read. The number of entries recorded in a page was not checked against the number of entries the page could hold, which comes from a different field of the index header. A crafted index could also make a page refer back to itself, so that reading it recursed without end. In fixed versions the index header and the entry count of each page are limited to what an index page can hold, and a page that refers back to one of its parent pages is not followed.2d

——19FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, ws_read_frame() decoded a WebSocket frame's 64-bit extended payload length with a 32-bit byte swap and narrowed the result into a signed length. A value whose surviving low word became negative bypassed the signed size check and was reinterpreted as an enormous unsigned count, causing client bytes to overwrite memory beyond the 64 KiB receive buffer. Any client completing a /socket WebSocket upgrade on an enabled mod_xml_rpc endpoint reached the parser before HTTP authentication; both the module and WebSocket endpoint are disabled by default. The heap overwrite can corrupt connection pointers and crash FreeSWITCH, ending every concurrent session, although remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2.2d
