Descrição técnica

Permissive Cross-domain Policy with Untrusted Domains vulnerability in Apache Camel Platform HTTP Vertx component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. createCorsHandler() set Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true outside the origin check, so the header went out on every response to a request carrying an Origin header, including responses to origins the handler had just decided not to allow. When camel.server.cors.origins is unset, the handler treats every origin as allowed and echoes the caller's own Origin back as Access-Control-Allow-Origin. Together those produce the credentialed any-origin configuration that the fetch specification refuses to express as a literal wildcard, which is precisely why reflecting the origin is the usual way around that rule. A page on any origin could therefore make credentialed cross-origin requests to the Camel endpoint and read the responses. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Access-Control-Allow-Credentials is now sent only when the request origin matched an origin the operator actually configured. With no origin list the origin is still reflected, as before, but credentials are not granted, and Vary: Origin is now set whenever the origin is reflected so that a shared cache cannot serve one origin's response to another. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, set camel.server.cors.origins to the explicit list of origins that need access rather than leaving it unset.

——0A permissive cross-domain policy vulnerability has been identified in the SonicOS management interface, which in specific conditions could potentially enable a remote unauthenticated attacker to perform unauthorized operations.14h

——7MoLing is a computer-use and browser-use based MCP server. Prior to 0.5.0, when MoLing runs in SSE mode using `-l`, its `/sse` and `/message` HTTP endpoints do not authenticate requests and the `mcp-go` dependency sets `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *`. A malicious web page can open a cross-origin `EventSource` to `/sse`, including a loopback listener, and read the `endpoint` event to obtain `sessionId`. After a victim running SSE mode visits that page, the attacker can use the disclosed `sessionId` against `/message` to send unauthorized MCP tool calls. Depending on the configured tools, those calls can read or write local files, execute commands or perform other actions. Binding only to loopback does not prevent this browser-mediated attack. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.0.1d

——1Fiber is an Express inspired web framework written in Go. From 2.52.1 until 2.52.3, the CORS middleware's validateDomain wildcard matcher in middleware/cors/utils.go strips the scheme and checks only a host suffix without requiring a dot boundary. An application configured with a wildcard-subdomain AllowOrigins value and AllowCredentials enabled can reflect an unrelated attacker-controlled origin whose host merely ends with the configured base domain. A user who visits that origin can expose authenticated cross-origin responses to the attacker's page; empty-label origins and later comma-space parsing hardening are outside this advisory. This issue is fixed in version 2.52.3.4d

——3The push endpoint of a Vaadin application that uses server push reflects the request Origin into the Access-Control-Allow-Origin response header and allows credentials, because Flow configures Atmosphere with DROP_ACCESS_CONTROL_ALLOW_ORIGIN_HEADER set to false and its CorsInterceptor then echoes whatever Origin the request carries. A page on any origin can therefore make a cross origin request to that endpoint with the user's cookies and read the response, although reading anything useful also requires the push identifier of that session. Applications that do not use @Push are not affected, and neither is the WebSocket transport. The behaviour was introduced in January 2015 and is present in every Flow release and in Vaadin Framework from 7.1.0, which is when push was added. Users of affected versions should apply the following mitigation or upgrade. ——21Transmission 4.0.0 before 4.1.3 contains a permissive CORS vulnerability in handle_request() in rpc-server.cc that exposes the X-Transmission-Session-Id anti-CSRF token to any web origin. Malicious web pages can read the token from the 409 handshake response and replay it to issue RPC calls, enabling script-torrent-done execution, download-dir changes, or torrent and data deletion.8d

——5vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.32.0, the OpenAI-compatible server configures Starlette CORSMiddleware with allowed_origins set to a wildcard by default. A malicious web page can use a victim's browser to reach an unauthenticated vLLM server on localhost, an internal network, or a VPN, call endpoints including GET /v1/models and POST /v1/chat/completions, consume GPU resources, and read responses. Cookie-based cross-site request forgery does not apply because credentials are disabled by default, and deployments requiring bearer authentication are exposed only when the caller already has a usable token. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0.8d
