Descrição técnica

Catalyst::Seal versions before 0.03 for Perl allow one request to disable a path or route a later one past an authorization check via a dispatch memo keyed on the request path alone. Catalyst::Seal replaces the dispatcher's prepare_action with a version that memoises how a path resolved: which dispatch type matched, at which level, and what was left over as arguments. The key is the request path and nothing else. Action roles that match on the method, content type, scheme or query make that resolution depend on state the key does not carry, so the memo answers for a request it was not built from. A path that resolves to no action is memoised as well, and replaying that entry returns without consulting any dispatch type, so no action is set and the request fails. A GET of a path whose action is declared POST-only therefore disables that path for every later request, the correct POST included. An entry that did resolve replays the level the earlier descent reached. Where a POST-only action sits below a shallower action on the same path, a GET memoises the shallow route, and a later POST is dispatched there with an auto() guarding the deeper controller never running. The memo is cleared only when an action is registered, which happens at setup, so an entry lasts for the life of the process, and its cap of 2048 entries bounds how many paths one caller can disable. In the configuration measured, the misroute lands on the less privileged action, so it is an authorization check not running rather than a privilege gain.

CVE-2026-1219495.4 MÉD

——0The Symfony HtmlSanitizer component does not apply the media URL policy to the srcset and imagesrcset attributes, allowing values that point to hosts or schemes not permitted by allowMediaSchemes() or allowMediaHosts() to bypass it, so that browsers load images from disallowed hosts in Symfony versions 6.1.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11.The srcset attribute on img and source elements and the imagesrcset attribute on link elements are allowed by the sanitizer, but their URL candidates are never validated, so their values are kept verbatim while the same URL in src is dropped. The fixes for CVE-2026-45753 and CVE-2026-48761 extended the same attribute list but did not cover these two attributes. For example, with allowMediaSchemes(['https']) and allowMediaHosts(['trusted.example']), <img srcset="https://evil.example/a.png 1x"> survives sanitization, and the browser fetches the selected candidate as it would fetch src. Candidates with a scheme forbidden by the configuration, such as http, are kept as well. Any application that sanitizes untrusted HTML and relies on the media schemes and hosts allowlists to restrict where images can be loaded from is affected. A single crafted value is enough to make the browser of a user viewing the sanitized content send a request to an attacker-controlled host, which can be used to track viewers or log their IP addresses. No authentication is needed if the application accepts HTML from unauthenticated users.6h

——2MongoDB Database Tools mongorestore inconsistently handles the system.buckets. prefix when validating collection names in an untrusted dump. A specially crafted collection name can bypass special-collection guards and operator namespace filters, causing a restore to create an unauthorized user-chosen database account, including an account with the root role. Exploitation requires an operator to restore unauthorized user-controlled data using credentials with sufficient user-management privileges on the destination deployment. Excluding the admin namespace alone does not prevent this behavior. This issue affects MongoDB Database Tools versions 100.4.0 through versions before 100.20.1.2d

——8Incomplete Comparison with Missing Factors (CWE-1023) in merge_chats() (whatstk/utils/chat_merge.py), reached from BaseChat.merge(), in whatstk from 0.3.0 before 0.9.0 allows a party that supplies the chat exports to cause messages to be absent from the merged output with no indication that anything was removed, because the merge keeps whole the chat whose first message is oldest and appends from the other only the messages that are strictly newer than the last message of the first. Every message of the second chat that falls inside the date range already covered by the first is therefore discarded. The two chats are compared on their date ranges and not on the identity of the individual messages, so a message held by only one of the two exports is dropped whenever its date falls inside the range of the other, and both branches of _merge_two_chats() behave this way. The merged result is returned without a warning and without a count of what was removed. This results in a merged chat that omits messages the inputs contain, in a library whose documented uses include forensic review and the generation of training data.2d

——12In Trail of Bits fickling through 0.1.12, a pickle STACK_GLOBAL operand carrying a dotted __qualname__ (for example "Values.read_file") is resolved by pickle's find_class through _getattribute to an arbitrary attribute path rather than to a module-level function. Fickling records only the leading component of the name in its import tracking and renders the operation as a plain import (for instance, 'python -m fickling' displays it as 'from optparse import Values.read_file'), so the trailing attribute reference is never analyzed as a call. The OvertlyBadEvals analysis pass does not flag it, and check_safety() returns LIKELY_SAFE with zero findings. This allows an attacker to reach a class method that performs code execution: optparse.Values.read_file executes exec(open(filename).read(), vars), achieving arbitrary code execution when the crafted pickle is loaded through fickling.load(), which chains check_safety() into pickle.loads() as an explicit security gate. optparse is present in all current CPython 3.x releases (deprecated as of Python 3.13, not removed). This weakness is in the resolution and analysis of dotted attribute-path names, and is distinct from and independently fixable from the module-origin trust weakness tracked as CVE-2026-16760: resolving or flagging dotted attribute-path imports closes this vector while leaving the module-level trust behavior unchanged. This bypass was verified to remain present on the vendor master branch at commit d011709 as of 2026-10-30, after the vendor's October blocklist additions and a new heuristic that flags private stdlib attributes; because the public class method Values.read_file is neither blocklisted nor flagged as a private attribute, it is not addressed by those remediations.3d
